@ozaro ...so what do you have in mind?....do you wanna make a 3d movie? |
You see, that's what I m talking about..."at least know how to draw..." is not necessarily true. Though its an advantage and even to that it depends on the stage you re involved in the pipeline...I ll try not to confuse you with lots of words here...for example say you re handling the special effects of a shot that is the explosion ,shattering effect, fluids, particle dynamics and so on...you not necessarily know how to draw...but if you re in the storyboarding and modelling stage then I ll say its necessary you know how to draw so that so that you can effectively pass your message to other artist involved in that stage too...and moreover your artistic skill ll help in character development and so on... Lol...I hope you understand...lol...have fun Wish you the best |
we have a problem here in nigeria...am gonna say this and am gonna say it once..."problem no.1"...the 3d industry is very lucrative in nigeria but the thing is that,we have very few potentials in nigeria and we dont even know ourselves..."problem no.2"...in the industry, there are fields...3D animation has its own requirements...the only advantage you ll have in 3D animation is if you have a science oreintation,if you re a science student...many people will confuse you with terminologies due to the reviews they read online and their little familairity with the app..."problem no.3"...many artist jump from one app to another once they find out that something that have been giving them difficulty in one app is just a button click away in another app.you ll hear someone say "hey...i use 3ds max,maya,c4d,blender,ligthwave,poser,xsi in animating"...this is unbelievable...you ll even hear people comparing one to another..."max is better than maya,c4d is better than blender and so on" and this comparison is even to some extent among the white guys too(CGTalk)...the effective use of one app to a great extent depends on the user...but keep in mind that there are specific pipelines that are employed when embarking on a project. my best advice to you is this..... 1. choose any 3d application..i will recommend 3dsmax or maya..but whatever you choose is ok...it solely depends on you 2. stick to whatever 3d app you choose to learn and learn it to a very good extent 3. make the best out of your application I Wish you the best |
i m really looking for real nigerian animators forum....i mean ANIMATORS forum. |
@velociraptor i really agree with you based on the fact that the 3d community worldwide can see our work and that we should really really make up a good jod before putting them on the web. it does not matter how long it takes what matters most is how good it is. but none the less i m not discouraging any attempt to put a reel or demo on air. just try and make it look right.... |
ok? take it light....peace |
@OKX who the Bleep are you and what do you know about 3d? read the comment lu made again before writing trash to someone else. @tomingo this is peterreezer. i use max. you might have little problem with your graphics card or your particular maya software. modelling should not pose a huge problem to the extent of saying maya has bugs whatever the version. when you discover the solution then you ll know its just a little problem. believe you me, its just little. |
son of man this is lu. i also use maya 2011. it wud ve bin beta to ask questions dan to make sily conclusions. its either u dont no jack or u bought ur software in ikeja n its not complete. wot ve u done wit maya dat u re sayin one tin bla bla wen d pros who ve flexed d software ve made no complains. sorry to dizz u dis way because d international community must not c the crap u posted else they will think all nigerians who do 3d re as incompetent as u. go and study hard. pls dont reply watch out for maverick studios june/july 2012. and this is a friends ad i just happen to c ur post and cud not hlp but slap ur nappy head wit this few lines. so if u reply i mite neva get this but call me on 08066082438. lol |
and this, |
comment on this, |
comes with the cd. originally contains the exercise files |
This goes to the best animated video demo of anybody that uses 3d max.
|
@jidesp Do you really work with 3ds max or maya ? because the book i want to give you is about 3ds max and not maya. Although you can get the concept from it,but it spells MASTERING, in 3ds max. much of the stuff done in it is based on the criteria that you already know how to use materials/maps. Any way you will get it. its no big deal. when i get to lag. i will call you. |
1.'and at the right shoulder'. - Correct. = 40% 2.'bad edges here and there'- wrong. 3. 'at the top of the head'. - Wrong. Total = 40% there's one major problem. |
lol...let it begin
