At a time, I once asked a friend why the short sighted leaders from the east come short of changing the name to Igalla state |
It is true that the Nigeria state has wronged the people of ND, but on a more sincere note, lots of those militant are out for selfish interests. One built a private university in Benin. The other made billions and goes into hiding, some are mere tools in the scheme of politicians. Of note is the environmental hazards. Aside from gas flaring, water pollution, do know the people are vulnerable to cancer and the likes. How does this attract investors both local and foreign. I did everything possible for my younger sister not to serve in Rivers. And when I could not help it, we were always praying for her. Two wrongs does not make a right. My heart goes out to all the suffering people of ND, but how does the governors spend even the 13% derivative. The solution I believe should start with the people holding their government/leaders accountable. They should unite as a people and going forward, seek for a political solution after all, it is better to jawjaw than to warwar and after every war, people always come to the round table for amicable solutions. God bless Nigeria |
As a Yoruba man, I wedded at 44yrs, why? My first two cars were bought by women, yet I was not in love. I read a book by Brian Tracy that helped my thinking and aid my prayer pattern. When you want to ask God for a life partner, be more detailed. Be more specific. The color, height, education, background, character, disposition to life, religion, the values and ethos. Anything and everything you want or desire from your would be husband. Before the book sorry I forgot the title, I borrowed it, got a jotter and took notes. Before the book, I prayed on generic terms. God, give me a beautiful, dutiful, faithful and God fearing wife. For years, I have girlfriends, I even lost count nd forgot some names. But with proper tailoring of my desired wife, I met my wife and we wedded about six years ago and till date, I never cheat on my wife, why? Because I love her more everyday. Before now, I don't keep girlfriends for upto six months. Take my advise, you are still young, feel good about yourself, keep an open mind, pray in a more specific manner, and it will come to pass. |
I want to share some things about HIV/AIDS. The prevalence of the disease is borne out of societal stigma and self stigma of the carriers. If the society can show empathy to those positive, it will go a long way. Some folks refuse to get tested because of stigma. It's erroneous to say HIV/AIDS is a killer disease. HIV does not kill, it's only AIDS that does. HIV can be managed for more than 70years. It is saver to get tested, if you are positive through counseling, and positive life style, you can still fulfill your goals in live. But if you refuse to get tested, it snowball into AIDS, i'm afraid, AIDS has no cure. Now, a child that contract the virus from the mother or a medical personnel that contract through job hazards, why stigmatize them. Even if it is by contracted through sex, it may be due to foolish act, but then, who is free asked Jesus. Let us make conscious effort to de - emphasize stigma and very soon we will have a generation free of HIV/AIDS |
