No it has not exceed 30days. Something about application not meeting requirements.

I need help urgently. Has any received ppr and then a correspondence for refusal days after ppr? Could it be a mistake? Kindly advise. Thank you in advance.

My brother's fiancee in the U.S. filed a K1 fiance visa for him sometime in August. The case will expire in February. We just noticed awhile ago that his name was wrongly arranged in his passport, so he went to Abuja to get the problem fixed. On getting to Abuja he was told the new passport will be ready sometime in January and we don’t have much time since his case will expire in February. He's yet to fill his application online and get an interview date as a result of this findings. Please V.O. what do you advise?

I review all the cases, and from my perspective the officer handled that case appropriately. If he didn't ask for anything besides DNA, that's likely the only piece of information he's waiting for.

The CO only asked for DNA, that why am pleading you help me check if there's anything else ma. thanks for your quick response ma'am. God bless you.

If DNA results are a match and that was the only piece of information we were waiting for, we generally don't require a second interview. Instead, we contact the beneficiary and ask him / her to drop off his / her passport (and any updated documents such as medical reports), so we can print the visa.

during my interview the only area i feel the CO asked for DNA was wen he asked why my husband has not visited for almost 4yrs and i answered that he dint have the time because of the nature of his job, he's a correctional officer. The CO started typing on his system, left his seat for awhile came back and requested for DNA. I believe you'll know him. He looks Chinese. Here my case No LGS2013733013. Please ma'am help me check if there's any piece of information asides the DNA test. Thanks ma'am.

It depends how long your laboratory takes to process the tests. Mail to and from the labs takes less than a week, and then it takes us a week at most to process the results and contact the families once the results arrive here. I hope yours arrive soon!

I want to know if there will be a second interview? after the embassy gets the results of the DNA test. Thank you.

my case is at the embassy, i took my kids for DNA test collection 2days ago at the embassy. I asked one of the staff how long it'll take for them to contact us after collection of sample, and she said 6weeks. I was like waaaaoooohhh that long? I want to know how long to get the results, how long it will take for the embassy to contact us and if their will be a second interview. This process is very tedious. I can't wait to be with my husband and it's hurts to see our kids cry wen talking to their dad on Skype. It hurts so bad. Sorry for deviating. Thank you.

Dear VO, am new here. My husband is a LPR he filed an immigrant visa for me and our kids, we went for interview in September and was asked for a DNA test by the CO. We've been scheduled for sample collection next month, my question is will there be another interview after DNA results are ready? and how long will it take for them to issue us visa after DNA results are ready? am a Nigerian married to a Nigerian, who's based in the States. He applied for an immigrant visa for me and our kids. And the CO, requested we get a DNA. just want to know what next after DNA results is ready?

Welcome back VO, am a Nigerian married to a Nigerian (LPR), based in the States, my husband applied an immigrant visa for our kids and I. We went for interview on the 18th of Sept and i was asked to get a DNA proof for my husband and kids. My question is, what next after DNA results is ready? , also my status on ceac, states READY before and after interview even up till date, a friend of mine who was asked to get a DNA, told me that her status has changed to AP, immediately after interview, is it normal that mine still states READY? Also how long does it take for embassy to issue visa after DNA results is ready? Thank you.

Hello VO. i went for immigrant visa interview with my 2 kids and was asked to do DNA. immediately we got home, my husband called the DNA center in the States and gave them all necessary information and made part payment online with his credit card. The test kit for my kids was sent the following day which is 19th of Sept. The kit arrived lagos 24th of Sept. my husband swab has been taken on the 3rd of this month. It's exactly 2weeks today since test kit arrived lagos and yet we've not been contacted to come for swab collection. we started this whole journey in June 2012. Over 2years. I want to know how long the whole DNA process takes and if there's any way i can help hasten it, so that I'll get it done with. raising our kids alone without my husband is affecting me alot. Thank you.
