Rhapsody Of Realities _Be Conscious Of Your Divinity_ Saturday, January 28th . Pastor Chris ```Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world (1 John4:17).``` The very fact that you're born again means you're not an ordinary person, because you have in you the same life that God has. The God-life is in you. When Jesus walked the earth, He had this consciousness. In John 6:38, He said: "For I came down from heaven…."What audacity! Everyone knew Him as the son of Mary and Joseph the Carpenter, yet He declared He came down from heaven. Only a man who knows who He really is speaks this way. This is how you must think, talk, and live. Be conscious of your divine heritage and identity. You hail from God: "Ye are of God,little children, and have overcome them…" (1 John 4:4). When it says,"Ye are of God…," it doesn't mean you're on God's side, but that your origin is in God. Your ancestry or parentage is Christ. So, like the Lord Jesus, speak with confidence and authority in affirming who you are. In John 8:12, He said, "I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall gave the light of life." What a statement! But did you know Jesus also spoke about you and said:"You are the light of the world?" (Matthew 5:14). Therefore, you ought to declare with boldness, "I am the light of the world!" Be conscious of who you are in Christ; be bold to call yourself what God has called you. Jesus gave us an example to follow; of how to live victoriously in the earth. His consciousness of His divinity controlled everything He said and did. You also can live as successfully as He did by following this principle. Become conscious of the God-life in you, and boldly speak accordingly. Philemon 1:6 tells us, "That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus." PRAYER _Dear heavenly Father, I thank you for the eternal life that has been gran ted me, and I live that life now. Because I'm conscious of the life of God in me, no sickness, disease or infirmity can successfully stay in my body. The life of Christ is evidently manifested in me, from glory to glory, in the Name of the Lord Jesus. Amen._ Further Study: John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Romans 8:11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from thedead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall alsoquicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. THE CREDENTIALS FOR EXCELLENCE The desires of everybody; irrespective of their ages, classes, ambitions and race is to become a high flyer and live a successful and impactful life. As we all know, excellence is never measured by the numbers of ones's gray hairs, academic qualifications, bank account balance and political affiliations. But it emanates from unusual efforts and commitment been put in place by mentalities of greatness. This is void of mediocrity, low self esteem, unusual fears and unfocused life. This means that, no matter your age right now, you can still become great and successful in life, business, ministry, vocation or academics. You can still live a better life than you lived yesterday. But the most challenging questions to many today is that; what must i do to become a high flyer in my chosen career? Does it mean that my efforts are not enough to be an excellent being? Are you sure am not under a generational curse? e.t.c. Life looks so discouraging when you see people who should have become or should be geniuses today still struggling very hard to get to their desired positions or destinations in life. In view of my observations and discontentment, it was laid in my heart to write on ''The Credentials of Excellence'' being the major key to greatness. One major thing that must be put into consideration is the central aspect of excellence and what is that? It must begin from your mind. You must fight failure and mediocrity in your mind before you can fight them in the reality. Vince Lombardi said; ''your success in life will be determined more by the depth of commitment to excellence than by any other factor, no matter your chosen field''. Therefore, aspire as much as you can to be the best in your career or any chosen field you are involved. Brain Tracy, one of the foremost American geniuses and a philosopher also said; ˜no one is smarter than you and no one is better than you. If someone is ahead of you today, it is because he or she is doing something different from you. In other words, it is not impossible for you to achieve excellence in whatever you bargain for. Don't you ever settle for mediocrity! An average performance is a limited performance. Performance is the only basis for promotion. You have to develop a passion for excellent performance. If you have not been taking the first position in whatever you are doing, it is because you have been sleeping for too long while your competitors have been busy putting on unusual efforts. Wake up from Slumber!. Excellence is measured by action. A child who tops his class is not measured by his family background, nor race, nor psyche, but by the result of his performance in the class. And it didn't just come by; of course it was followed by action principle. Oritson Swelt declared; ''make excellence a life rule, to give your best to whatever passes through your hand. Stamp it with your personal character; let superiority be your trade mark''. Therefore develop an unquenchable passion for excellence. Become more committed than ever before to excellent performance. As the saying goes; whatever is worth doing at all is worth doing well. This is because people mind and even pay for excellent work or product or services. The world is full of mediocres, but the people in it appreciate excellent products, services or performance. This is the more reason why you can not afford to be a mediocre for life, so get up and get going. The world is really waiting for you! Excellence is not attained by chance or heritage, it is an art that must be consciously achieved through a conscious and persistent effort. Among others, the following stand as major means through which you attain the position of excellence. 1. Desire it intensely. This is the core aspect of excellence. What you don't desire, you don't attract. And even when you get it by CHANCE OR LUCK you don't value nor respect it. You must desire excellence intensely. That is when it can be accepted by your subconscious mind. Then your subconscious mind upon reception can now direct thoughts towards your conscious mind and then bring it into its physical reality. 2. Think excellence: Everything in the reality has its thought antecedent; every action is a product of thought. Every battle in life is won or lost in the arena of thought. You must be conscious of the fact that life is spiritual; man is a spirit who has a soul and lives in a body. The bible clearly states that; ''As a man thinketh in his heart so is he is. Therefore, you must develop the mindset of excellence for you to attain excellence. In fact, this is the foundation. Think excellent thoughts always. By the time you think in excellent terms, failure thoughts would not be able to penetrate into you. Your life will always move in the direction of your dominant thought. You must break yourself free from those thoughts that limit you in life. You must emancipate yourself from those thoughts that will not move your life forward; thoughts of poverty, failure, sickness, pain, lack etc. Don't set any limitation in your mind. Don't be limited in your mind, whatever becomes real in your mind, God will make real in your life. So, fill your mind with thoughts of excellence and success always, then you will always exhibit that in the reality. How far can you see? What you see(visualize) is what you will end up achieving. This id because, the only limitation you have is your vision. 3. Read books written by excellent minds. To be successful is far beyond just wishing. It involve doing the extra-ordinaries. This can be achieved by ensuring you look forward to others who are experts in your chosen careers. Make them your mentors. Buy and read their books and get yourself well equipped for a better you. When you read the books written by these people, you will begin to rub mind with them, you will start thinking the way they think, act the way they act. These people have been there, they should be able to tell you how to get there. Reading according to research affects your thinking, and your thought directly or indirectly affects your performance. So, when you don't read excellent books how will you have excellent thoughts. Readers are leaders, committed ones are great leaders. 4 Identify your key area of optimum performance. You should be able to identify an area that you can perform to your best ability and be a higher flyer. The worst thing that can happen to any man is living a purposeless and directionless life. It doesn't matter how and where you were born or where you are right now. In fact, somebody might be responsible for where you are today, but you are responsible for remaining there. Stand up and think big. For the seeds of excellence and greatness are in you. YOU WERE BORN FOR THE TOP. NEVER ALLOW ANYTHING OR ANYONE MAKE YOU FEEL OR BELIEVE THAT YOUR FAMILY BACKGROUNDS CAN DETERMINE YOUR DESTINY. Thank you very much for taking out time to read this piece from me.

Senate begins amendment of the Open University Act.16/01/2017 The Nigerian senate has reaffirmed its commitment to uplift the standard of open universities through necessary legislations to enable it compete favourably with similar universities in the world. Chairman of the Senate Committee on Tertiary Education and TETFUND, Senator Jibril Barau, who stated this during a one day public hearing on amendment of the law establishing the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), explained that "the senate will create an enabling environment to make NOUN the best in the world." Senator Barau noted that the essence of the public hearing was to make the law to provide a platform for online tuition as a method of instruction in order to ease the troubles associated with the traditional ways of teaching and bring about efficiency, convenience, flexibility and effectiveness in Open University system. "As a foremost university that has brought education to the door steps of many individuals and has made learning easier for all, this amendment is apt, timely and in tune with the global best practices," Senator Barau assured. He added that it will reposition the Open University for better service delivery and help in producing quality graduates for the Nigerian society. The public hearing was organised by the Senate Committee on Tertiary Education and TETFUND on the Bill for an Act to amend the National Open University Act, No 6 of 1983, to provide for the inclusion of ICT as another means of providing tuition in the National Open University of Nigeria throughout the country. It involves amendment of relevant sections of the Act including Section three (3) of the principal act that mandates the University to establish 774 community study centres in all the Local Government Areas of Nigeria. Vice Chancellor of the National Open University, Abuja, Professor Abdallah Adamu, in his submission urged the senate to amend the act to incorporate requirements that must be met by would be community -study -centre hosts, including undertaking the responsibility of providing 80 percent of infrastructure as well as structural materials required for the establishment of such centres. Other areas which need to be considered for amendment as disclosed at the public hearing, deals with the issue of admission into the University, a situation which according to Professor Adamu, has been a source of standing controversy between NOUN and the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB). It revealed that the inclusion of such concepts as "correspondence and part-time" give the impression that NOUN is not a full university but a temporary means of acquiring education. Professor Adamu argued that "for the fact that the law gives room for the establishment of study centres which allows for interactions between the school and the students, it cannot be termed part time." According to the University Don, "provisions of the Act which call for amendment when addressed and passed by the National Assembly including the establishment of more community study centres will further legitimize academic programs of the National Open University which has already established about 78 study centres and has received over five thousand (5000) requests for the establishment of community study centres. "If the Act is amended and accepted for instance, the problem of our students not being called to bar by the Nigerian Law School will become history, because for now the law school considers our law program as a correspondence course, while the National Youth Service Corps sees us as part-time, but with the amendment we are seeking will address these problems," he explained. In this development, The President of the Senate, Dr Bukola Saraki, has called for the inclusion of Information Communication Technology (ICT) among courses offered by the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN). Saraki said that if included, it would advance learning in the institution across the Nigeria. He made the call on Monday at the opening of a public hearing on "The National Open University Act amendment Bill 2016'' organised by the Senate Committee on Tertiary Education and TetFund, in Abuja. The President of the Senate, who was represented by the Chief Whip, Sen. Olushola Adeyeye, said that the amendment of the Act would strengthen the capacity of the university to deliver on its goal. He said that the pivotal role of higher education as an underlined principle of moral education could not be over-emphasised, adding that the major thrust of the amendment bill was to improve on the existing legislation. According to Saraki, studies have shown that increase in students' exposure to ICT through curriculum integration has significant and positive impact on their achievements, especially in knowledge and comprehension of skills. "It is on this basis that the establishment of the National Open University in July, 1983 as a springboard for open and distance learning in Nigeria was conceived.'' He said that the university as it was currently ran depended on virtual learning and students individual research hence the need for improvement and introduction of helpful learning tools as presented by ICT. He stated that so far, the success of the university was the most encouraging, adding that Nigerians must not lose sight of the fact that the global organisation of education was constantly evolving. Saraki explained that NOUN provided access and flexibility to those, who ordinarily would not have had the opportunity to get formal education. He therefore called for support from the legislators for the amendment of the bill. He also called for updating of laws and policies to give valuable support to Nigeria's quest for improved quality learning. Earlier, Chairman of the Committee on Tertiary Education and TetFund, Sen. Jibrin Barau, said that the deployment of and penetration of ICT had eased the way of doing business and had modified the traditional means of communication. Barau explained that the introduction of a platform to provide online tuition as a method of instruction would bring efficiency and convenience in the Open University system. "As a foremost university that has brought education to the doorsteps of many individuals and has made learning easier for all, this amendment is apt, timely and in tune with the global best practices," he said. He said that amendment of the bill would also help to reposition the institution for better services, and help in producing quality graduates for Nigeria. In his submission, Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. Abdallah Adamu, said that the university was established to be technologically-driven. He said that though ICT had been incorporated in the new amendment, the biggest area of concern to the institution was the inclusion of "Correspondent'' on the bill in reference to students of the school. "This gives the impression that we are not a full-time university, making us to be seen as part time. "They give us the impression of temporariness rather than permanence," Adamu said. He disclosed that the institution had 78 study centres with a total of 254, 000 students' enrolment across the country. "This is the only university that provides thousands of people opportunity to acquire university education without having to leave their work." Adamu said that the new amendment should also include Open and Distance Learning (ODL) to clear the impression that the institution was not carrying out full-time programmes. Similarly, Executive Secretary, National Universities Commission (NUC), Prof. Adamu Rasheed, said that the challenges of access to conventional Nigerian universities were not new to Nigerians. Rasheed, who was represented by Dr Olamide Adesuwa, Director, Open and Distant Education of NUC, said that the low percentage of admissions into universities in the country necessitated the establishment of the NOUN. According to him, global best practices in distance education have shown that it had moved from correspondence to leveraging on ICT. for completnews, visit: http://de-rocksblog..com.ng/2017/01/senate-amends-national-open-university.html?m=1

successismine:portant news! Appeal to Journalists from Sergey Mavrodi Dear journalists, “analysts” and all kinds of “experts”! Please stop using MMM to gain cheap popularity. Leave us alone and let us work without interference. I’m just astonished by your irresponsibility and cynical attitude. Interests of millions of people, your fellow citizens are at stake. Don’t you have any sympathy for them? Why are you fueling hysteria around MMM and provoking a panic? Why are you doing this so diligently and persistently, what is your purpose? In fact, absolutely all your provocative and worthless articles and “analyses” (I said “worthless” because you do not have any real information about what happens in the System, and might have never had; you simply invent everything, fabricate it) are merely negative: “MMM has collapsed!!!.. MMM will not be working in January!!!..” etc. Are you intentionally presenting all of it in such a manner and whipping up tension by any means possible in order to increase the ratings of your publications and attract attention to them? Don’t you care about people at all? So, nothing has collapsed, and MMM will safely resume its work in January, as announced. Suspension of work for holidays is a usual thing, merely working moment, no more than that. It would have remained a normal, just a part of the usual routine, and might have gone almost unnoticed if it were not for your totally cynical and irresponsible attempts to advertise yourself, create a scandal out of nowhere, and make the most of this news topic in any possible way. Again, leave MMM alone and let us work. Nothing has collapsed, and MMM will perfectly resume its work in January. We Can Change the World! Sergey Mavrodi |

gogodaye:Nigeria would have been better than what we have now if people think in the right way before they argue anything. Despite the fact that you're not in the military, u still reasoned constructively because u are intelligent. I feel u bro. Now, the service number 12NA/67/... simply means she was recruited as a soldier(other rank) in the year 2012 and she is 67 Regular Recruit Intake(67RRI). SO EVEN AT THAT, NOBODY; I REPEAT NOBODY RECRUITED OR ENLISTED INTO THE NIGERIAN ARMY IN 2012 CAN BECOME A MAJOR AFTER 4YEARS OF SERVICE.........That alone is a clear evidence that she had never been a soldier b4, she's just fake and impersonator. For those arguing that she was a soldier b4 and later laid off are just looking for a way to defend their ignorance about the military.. A word is enough for the wise..... |
