It will suprise you that libya has the highest hdi in Africa. Why she is just 4 million people. So amenities might go round but the country will always remain voiceless, powerless and lacking in global punch.

Sweden is a tiny European country along with Denmark, Norway and they always have the highest hdi in the world. But who runs Europe? Who's is boss in Europe? It is Germany. Is Germany having the highest hdi or living standards in Europe? Nope. But she's got the biggest economy and population. Mater of fact Germany is the biggest populated country in Europe. Ans she is in charge of navigating the ship of Europe.

Against America is the first amongst countries in almost all facet of human development but has never ranked no 1 in hdi, as has the UK, France, Germany, these countries don't come first in hdi.

But they pull the biggest weight in global economy and military presence.
