28 Christians were killed yesterday morning Nov. 22nd after Islamic Shebab extremists ambushed a bus in Kenya as it headed for Nairobi from Mandera, a town close to Somalia.

According to reports, the heavily armed extremists separated the Muslims from the Christians by asking them to recite verses from the Qu'ran. Then they ordered the Muslims to get off the bus and then shot the Christians point blank in the head before escaping back to Somalia.

A Spokesman for Shebab later said the 28 travelers were killed in retaliation for a raid on mosques in Mombasa, Kenya last week.

It was a terrible sight on Saturday evening as a middle aged woman, identified as Kemi, bit off the manhood of her neighbour around the Inalende area of Ibadan, Oyo State. Kemi was said to have resorted to biting, according to an eyewitness, after she was thoroughly beating by the man, identified simply as Rasheed.

Speaking on what made her cut off a man's manhood with her teeth, Kemi said: “He reported me and my friend to my friend’s mother in-law after she arrived at our house and thereafter started to beat me and when nobody rescued me from him, I bit him but I do not know it was his p*nis.”

It was gathered that issues on how to settle a misunderstanding between Rasheed’s wife and another woman degenerated into a violent fight. It was during the process of partisan interference that Kemi angrily tore the man's dress, held his manhood and bit it off Mr Rasheed's manhood live.
Aside from the manhood which was bitten off, she also inflicted a big sore on the man’s abdomen. Rasheed was later rescued and rushed to a nearby hospital in the area for medical attention while Kemi was handed over to men of the Nigeria Police Force in the nearby police station.

Kemi, a mother of two, further said they had not been on speaking terms since she relocated to the area in June and Rasheed’s wife had not been greeting her and her friend. “My friend, Adijat, has not been greeting and talking with Rasheed’s wife, I know that was why he decided to engage me in a fight,” she added.

Unfortunately, Kemi is going to prison as the police is already in the process of arraigning her in court.

Popular prophet and founder of Synagogue Church of All Nation, SCOAN, TB Joshua has been warned to get ready for arrest should he failed to give a detailed account of the deaths of 116 people at his church recently.

One of the coroners, Oyetade Komolafe turned down submissions from Joshua’s lawyers that the Prophet, as he’s fondly called should not be summoned because he did not directly witness the September 12 tragedy.

An unidentified suspected rapist has been killed in the Lekki area of Lagos State while attempting to rape a 22-year-old woman, Ifeoma Okechukwu.

It was learnt that the incident happened on Monday, around 12.30pm, in Atlantic View Estate, Alpha Beach Road, Lekki. Punch learnt that Okechukwu was on her menstrual period and had gone out to buy sanitary pads. The Imo State indigene was said to be on her way back home when she was accosted by the stranger.
She said,

“After buying the sanitary pads, I was going back home when I saw a man, who should be in his forties, standing at a corner. He approached me and ordered me to take him to my house.“He put his hand into his pocket as if he wanted to bring out a weapon. He said he would kill me if I shouted.When we got to the house, he said I should shut the door and I did. He said I should remove my clothes; and I started begging him, but he refused to listen.So I told him to let me get to the kitchen because I was cooking something and I would be back. I got a rod and hid it in my wrapper. I went back and moved slowly towards him, still begging, but he refused.He was taking off his clothes and wearing a condom when I used the rod to hit him in the head. I started screaming. And then I picked the phone and called my uncle.”

According to a top police source at Eleweron command Headquarters of Ogun State Police Command, the father of three hailed from Iwowo in Ogun State, had hurriedly left home that fateful day, after refusing the breakfast prepared by his wife, but ended up at a hotel with his female lover.

The Police said, it suspected heart failure or some voodoo, “there is some power at work here, if it was heart failure, how come it happened to both the man and woman. I think it must be voodoo or some charm, placed on the woman by either her husband of someone, which reacted on the man,” the Policeman said.

Alhaji Kassimu Umar, a Lecturer at the Taraba College of Education, Zing, was on Friday burnt to death in a mob action after he allegedly hit and killed five primary school pupils with a vehicle he was driving.

Mr Joseph Kwaji, the Police Public Relations officer of the Taraba Police Command confirmed the incident to the News Agency of Nigeria in Jalingo.

He said that the mob forcefully removed Umar from the Pupule Police Outpost, where he went to report the incident, and the mob burnt him to death.

Kwaji said, “In the early hours of today, one Kassimu Umar, who is believed to be a lecturer with COE, Zing, had knocked down five primary school pupils who all died on the spot.

“After he reported the incident to the Pupule Police station, irate youths in their hundreds, stormed the station, dragged him out and lynched him.

“Our investigation revealed that the lecturer was trying to dodge a trailer, when he ran over the pupils whose ages ranged between eight and 11 years.”

An explosion has occurred in a bus station in Bauchi State and is believed to be the work of terrorist sect, Boko Haram.

The bomb went off in the Azare area of the state at about 9:45pm on Wednesday, October 22, AFP reports.

According to a resident, Musa Babale:

"We had a huge blast at exactly 9:45pm (20:45 GMT)... We realised it had come from the bus station." "The whole place was a mess."

This is the latest in a string of attacks that have cast doubt on the authenticity of the recently announced ceasefire between the Nigerian government and Boko Haram.

Less than 24 hours after the much-publicised ceasefire deal reached by the Federal Government and the Boko Haram sect, the terrorist group attacked two communities in Borno State, a security source told SUNDAY PUNCH.

The Nigerian government had announced on Friday that the Islamic sect and the military had agreed to a ceasefire.

According to the military source, about 20 Boko Haram fighters in two pick-up vans stormed Maikadiri in Abadam Local Government Area, northern part of Borno on Friday evening, shooting into homes.


A member of the local vigilance group, Adam Kolo, in a telephone interview with our correspondent in Maiduguri on Saturday, said the sect had shown that there was no ceasefire with the latest attack.

He stated that the insurgents killed the father of the former Speaker of Borno State House of Assembly, Goni Ali-Modu.

Another indigene of the attacked communities, Masta Ibrahim, said in Maiduguri that, “My parents are there and my brother called from Monguno to inform me early this morning but we couldn’t get across to our aged parents.”

Also in a renewed attack on Shaffa, Hawul Local Government Area, south of Borno on Saturday morning, scores of Boko Haram insurgents rode to a village near the town in the early hours of the day, shooting indiscriminately.

Eight people were killed, according to a resident, Elijah Msheliza.

He told our correspondents that many of the residents of the town had fled into the bush.

Msheliza said, “There was pandemonium in Shaffa as Boko Haram invaded the nearby village, shooting at everybody at sight. We had to flee into the bush and, as I am talking to you, many of us are taking refuge in the bush.”

Shaffa is about 230 kilometres from Maiduguri, the state capital, and had recently witnessed series of attacks by the insurgents.

A decision is set to be announced on the divorce suit filed by Anita Oyakhilome against her husband Rev. Chris Oyakhilome, the President of Christ Embassy church.

Funny enough, the couple’s first daughter Sharon Oyakhilome has decided to take sides, supporting her mum against her father, Pastor Chris. She took to Twitter to post a cryptic message which seemingly appears to support her mother’s divorce decision.
Her tweets appear to be similar to the case Rev. Anita Oyakhilome cited in the divorce papers where she stated that her husband had been away for the most part of their marriage.

My wife keeps friends who bring out the worst in her and help her see the worst in people, instead of keeping friends that will help her vision, especially as the wife of a global pastor like me.”

Please, which preacher woman who has been abandoned for fifteen years will not be bitter and angry? Was Anita expected to clap and dance while some hot legs are parading around the White House?

This pastor’s wife was also disclaimed by her husband who told his congregants in reaction to the divorce saga that Anita is not necessarily a Woman of God.According to Pastor Oyakhilome “Don’t act like those people. If you are married to a man of God, it doesn’t make you automatically mature. You can make mistakes; you can do something that is wrong. But some people expect the wife of a minister to definitely be at the level of that minister and so they may be looked upon and the expectation may be like that, but it’s a positional thing”.He clarified his theory by saying that “If a man of God is married, it doesn’t automatically mean that the wife of a man of God is therefore a woman of God.

"That’s not the way it is in the Bible.” Pastor Chris also added that “That’s why you don’t really find the wives of men of God mentioned in the Bible. How many of them? Who was Peter’s wife, did you ever know her name? You never find that out. Who was John’s wife? Did you ever read the name? What about all theother Apostles? How many of their names are written in the Bible. You never find their names.”

Anita Oyakhilome actually proved that she has fear of God in the manner she worded her divorce plea. She opted to use the word “inappropriate relationship with female staff members” instead of out rightly accusing her husband of adultery.According to the statement, “the wife has discussed with the husband his appropriate relationship with some of his female staff members. She has explained that this has given her cause for concern. The husband has minimised her worries and taken no step to alleviate her grievances.”

Anita Oyakhilome could have said that her husband abandoned her and ran into the arms of sister A or B, or gospel singer C or D and left her roasting and murmuring in the house. Anita could have said that her husband is a hypocrite who says a thing and means another, but she veiled her grievances of years of abandonment by saying in the divorce file that “The wife feels that she has been used to portray and enhance the husband’s image as a family man when the reality is that there is no existing relationship between them. She feels that she has been present for official functions simply for his convenience.

On occasions she has been copied into his travel itinerary which has been given to him by his staff on a need to know basis”. “The wife has tried to discuss her concernswith the husband. He claims that she is carnal and he is insensitive to her feelings and her needs.”

Thus Anita had acted with much restraint in order to preserve the integrity of Christ Embassy and the work of evangelism, and all she got for her discretion was hate messages all many sections of church members who wanted her to sacrifice her marriage to keep them in a rhapsody of deceit.

This woman, according to the testimony of many British residents who attend their church, is one person who is always willing to give gifts to the needy. She is ever ready to counsel people and does not breed class. She is a patient listener who laboriously introduced many things in the church for which the glory goes to her husband. Londoners believe that she is not that demon theywant to portray her as. Those who know her closely have attested to an affectionate good naturedness and stickler for details.

Whatsoeverthing some misguided church members want to think, Anita had lived a lie formany years. Anita was said to have became born again at believers Loveworldcampus fellowship at Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma, while Chris was thepastor. She had probably paid her dues as a Christian and knows what it is todeceive the congregation. She cannot deceive herself and the church anymorethus she opted for divorce. Divorce, according to scripture is unbiblical, but between deceiving a congregation that already knows the truth but pretends otherwise and staying in unfulfilled marriage, which is better. It is a matter between her and her conscience.

Last year, a Nigerian personality blogger by name Ese Walter was lured by her Senior Pastor in Abuja into a cozy hotel bed space in London and after two weeks of adultery, the man cleaned up, returned to Nigeria and told his congregation to shout some Hallelujah. The sin partner was arrested by the Holy Spirit and she sought a meeting with the COZA Chief to resolve the burden of guilt. She was continually shunned and described as agent of satan even by other senior pastors in the church until she turned the internet into the confessional. Ese Walter freed her conscience and probably escaped eternal damnation but the entire Christendom took the brunt of the exposure.

Anita has chosen to free herself from a life of deceit and lies. The truth had set her free. However, I still counsel her that if the misbehaving preacher husband demonstrates a verifiable change of heart, she should consider him back and so that somebody can shout some more Hallelujah. Fifteen years of adulterous endurance in the midst of charismatic rhapsody is not easy and Anita Oyakhilome sure needs all the defense and understanding she can get- Let somebody shout a better Hallelujah!”

According to a breaking news report on Channels TV, the Nigerian government has reached a ceasefire agreement with Boko Hraram following today's meeting between government officials led by President Jonathan's principal private secretary, Amb. Tukur, Chadian government and reps of the sect group led by Danaldi Ahmadu.

To this end, the Chief of Defence Staff, Alex Badeh, has directed all service chiefs to comply with the ceasefire agreement between Nigeria and Boko Haram in all areas of operations. Securing the release of the 219 Chibok girls abducted by Boko Haram was a major part of their discussions.

In a dramatic shift in tone, Catholic bishops released a document Monday saying that homos*xuals had “gifts and qualities to offer” and asked if Catholicism could accept gays and recognise positive aspects of same-s*x couples.

Roman Catholic gay rights groups have hailed the paper as a breakthrough, but church conservatives called it a betrayal of traditional family values.

The document, prepared after a week of discussions at an assembly of 200 bishops, said the Church should challenge itself to find “a fraternal space” for homosexuals without compromising Catholic doctrine on family and matrimony...


While the text did not signal any change in the Church’s condemnation of homosexual acts or gay marriage, it used less judgmental and more compassionate language than that seen in Vatican statements prior to the 2013 election of Pope Francis.

“Homosexuals have gifts and qualities to offer the Christian community: are we capable of welcoming these people, guaranteeing to them a further space in our communities? Often they wish to encounter a Church that offers them a welcoming home,” said the document, known by its Latin name “relatio”.

“Are our communities capable of proving that, accepting and valuing their s*xual orientation, without compromising Catholic doctrine on the family and matrimony?” it asked.

New Ways Ministry, a leading US Catholic gay rights group, called it a “major step forward”, praising it for being devoid of the “major gloom and doom and apocalyptic horror” that accompanied previous Vatican pronouncements on gay people.

The London-based Catholic gay rights group QUEST called parts of it “a breakthrough in that they acknowledge that such unions have an intrinsic goodness and constitute a valuable contribution to wider society and the common good.”

‘Betrayal’
But John Smeaton, co-founder of the conservative group Voice of the Family, was less than happy with the Vatican’s apparent change in direction.

“Those who are controlling the synod have betrayed Catholic parents worldwide,” he said, calling it “one of the worst official documents drafted in Church history”.

The Vatican document will be the basis for discussion for the second and final week of the bishops’ assembly, also known as a synod. It will also serve for further reflection among Catholics around the world ahead of another, definitive synod next year.

A number of participants at the closed-door gathering have said the Church should tone down its condemnatory language when referring to gay couples and avoid phrases such as “intrinsically disordered” when speaking of homos*xuals.

That was the phrase used by former Pope Benedict in a document written before his election, when he was still Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger and head of the Vatican’s doctrinal department.

The language and tone of Monday’s document, read to the assembly in the presence of Pope Francis, appeared to show that the advocates of a more inclusive tone towards gays and Catholics in so-called “irregular situations”—such as unmarried couples and those who have divorced—had prevailed.

It said that the 1.2 billion-member Church should see the development of its position on homos*xuals as “an important educational challenge” for the global institution.

While the Church continued to affirm that same-s*x unions “cannot be considered on the same footing as matrimony between man and woman”, it should recognise that there could be positive aspects to relationships in same-s*x couples.

“Without denying the moral problems connected to homos*xual unions it has to be noted that there are cases in which mutual aid to the point of sacrifice constitutes a precious support in the life of the partners,” the document said.

The paper also said there were “constructive elements” to heteros*xual couples who were married only in civil services or who were living together, but stressed that Church marriages were “the ideal”.

Pope Francis has said the Church must be more compassionate with homos*xuals, saying last year, “If a person is gay and seeks God and has good will, who am I to judge.”

Catholic Church is coming to a conclusion that homos*xual tendencies are not sinful, but the acts are.

There were shocking revelations at the weekend that an Army Colonel, some junior officers and soldiers who were taking part in the military offensive to reclaim communities taken over by the Boko Haram terrorists in Adamawa State, have been arrested for sabotage.

Top military sources said that the colonel (a Muslim) who was Commanding a team of three Armoured Personnel Carriers, APC’s, with the capability to fire up to a range of 1.5kilometres or even more, had instead of pursuing the terrorists, deliberately set the APCs on fire between Gulak and Madagali, before running away with his team of soldiers into the bush.


NTA gathered that the Army authorities were outraged over the development and ordered the arrest of both the commander, the junior officers as well as the soldiers under his command.

Narrating how the ‘’embarrassing incident occurred,’’ a source who was privy to the development noted that until the latest development, the Special Forces of the Nigerian Army who commenced the putsch to rout Boko Haram terrorists from Bazza, Michika, Gulak and Madagali from Vimtim, had successfully dealt with, and inflicted heavy casualties on the terrorists up till Gulak.

It was said that between Gulak and Madagali, the Colonel who had all along been prided with air surveillance reports, was again informed that Boko Haram terrorists were approaching his team in six Toyota Hilux Pick Up vans from the Madagali axis.

“However, rather than blasting and taking out the terrorists in their pick-up vans; he ordered his soldiers to jump out of the APC’s and set the armoured tanks on fire, without realising that he was being monitored. This was shocking because the terrorists were armed with weaponry which were grossly inferior to the firepower of the Nigerian Army Amoured tanks. After accomplishing the sabotage act, the Colonel and the junior officers and soldiers ran away into the bush, claiming that they were overpowered by a better armed group of Boko Haram terrorists,’’ NTA was told.

Military sources said that the action of the Colonel and soldiers under his command had given vent to the disclosure by the top hierarchy of the military that there were so many fifth columnists in the military working against the country’s determination to flush out Boko Haram terrorists in the land.

Consequently, NTA was told that a Board of Inquiry, BoI, had been set up by the Army authorities to investigate the Colonel and his soldiers after which a Military Court Martial would be set up to try them for conspiracy, treason and willful sabotage among others.

Also speaking on the development, a senior officer confided in NTA thus, “You can now see why the Military Court Martial which is currently sitting is inevitable. The uninformed would feel that soldiers who are fighting the nation’s battle are being unjustly punished. But the truth is that many of them are sabotaging Nigeria and making the insurgents look formidable for reasons that cannot be explained. Some of them appear sympathetic to the insurgents.

“How can it be explained that several APCs that cost up to $1million each in some cases or more will be willfully destroyed by Commissioned Officers, COs, who swore to defend the territorial integrity of their nation, just to help terrorists? That is treason of the highest order.”

The source added that the new vigour and determination with which Nigerian troops had been prosecuting the war, resulting in the killing of several commanders of the sect as well as hundreds of the insurgents, was the fallout of the new position of the military high command to deal with those pursuing a different agenda from that of the Federal Government.

The Chief of Defence Staff, CDS, Air Chief Marshal Alex Badeh said last week that the death penalty imposed on the 12 soldiers who were tried for treason was lawful and in accordance with military dictates. He spoke at a three-day conference organised by the National Security Adviser in collaboration with Trim Communication Nigeria Ltd on Media/Security relationship in crisis management.

According to him, “The day you join the military you have signed off, whether life or death, and it is obey before complaint. How can a soldier just jump out of the APC because you want to donate APC to Boko Haram; and somebody is there talking about constructive mutiny.

“The laws are there, if you run away from the enemy, you will die and that is what the military law says. Apart from the old Nigerian law, we abide by the military law. Nobody forces or conscripts anybody into the military. It is a voluntary service, and so if we have this type of challenge, you should be able to confront it and not to run away.”

he First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan was on Wednesday decorated as “Mother Theresa of Today’’ by the Ladies of St. Mulumba (LSM) of the Catholic Church of Nigeria.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Jonathan was decorated because of the humanitarian works done through her pet project, the Women for Change and Development Initiative (W4CDI).
Ngor Nwachukwu, the President of LSM, decorated the her when she led its members on a courtesy visit to the first lady at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

“W4CDI has recorded positive changes in the society; there is a strong wind of change blowing off poverty, disease, hunger.


“And bringing along empowerment and sustaining hope for women in particular and to all in general.”
Nwachukwu, who also commended the first lady for her support to the president, described her role as a “family model’’ in line with the advocacy of Pope Francis.

In her remark, Jonathan commended them for their visit, saying it was a sign of solidarity and support, especially for the transformation agenda of President Goodluck Jonathan.
She also thanked the group for its acknowledgment of her “modest contributions to the society with this decoration as Mother Theresa of Today.

“It was Mother Theresa of old who said ‘being unwanted, unloved, uncared for, forgotten by everybody I think that is a much greater hunger, a greater poverty than the person who has nothing to eat’.
“This saying has been my propelling force for the advocacy and policy dialogue to enhance the status of women in the society.

“Giving hope to the despaired, relief for the sick, training and empowerment for youths and women.’’
Jonathan reiterated the need to imbibe peace in their daily endeavours.
“As wives, mothers and sisters, we have important roles to play in moving Nigeria forward on the path of peace and development.

“As mothers and role models, we owe it a duty to our families and our nation to build our homes as well as the needed change in our communities,’’ she said.

NAN reports that other past decorations on the first lady included Epitome of Justice and Peace, Phenomenal Woman of Substance, Dorcas and Esther of Old, among others.

The LSM, which was established in 1978, has more than 10,000 members across the country.

A 50-year-old man, Ayodele Ademola, who raped a pastor’s daughter in Ibadan, Oyo state has confessed to his crime as he blamed satan and poverty for his actions.

Robbery gang leader and other suspects who robbed Pastor and raped his daughter

On August 14, it was reported that Ayodele Ademola who was part of the leader of a four man robbery gang who stormed a Pastor’s house, robbed him of his properties and went ahead to rape one of his daughters were arrested by the Oyo State Police Command.


The leader of the robbery gang, 55- year-old man Ayodele Ademola, speaking with LEADERSHIP FRIDAY at the police headquarters in Eleyele, Ibadan revealed that the failed operation was the second in which he and his gang had participated in.

Ademola, a father of three children, a boy and two girls narrated what led him into robbery: “It was the death of my wife that plunged me into serious poverty. I’ve been struggled to take care of the three children she left behind, but, I must confess to you, it has not been easy. I look around to find what I could do to get over this problem but to no avail.

“It was in the process that I met members of this robbery gang at a bus-stop. We talked and they introduced me to the business. I mean, armed robbery business. In short, it was poverty in my family that gave the devil opportunity to push me to armed robbery and raping.

“My appeal to the state and the federal governments, the Nigeria Police Force and Nigerians is that they should forgive me. I will never involve myself in all this rubbish again. I want all Nigerians to believe that it was poverty and [the] devil that pushed me to armed robbery and made me to rape the daughter of the pastor, my victim.

“The man of God, too, should, please, forgive me,” he pleaded.

According to the command’s deputy commissioner of police, administration, Sam Okalua, the items recovered from the gang included a Sony laptop, Samsung iPad, Apple iPad, three assorted cell phones, a Toyota Corolla with registration with number MK 382 AAA, a Mercedes Benz with registration number GGE 278 CK, six assorted wrist watches, N200,000 and other valuables.

The robbery gang on July 21, around 11:45pm stormed the pastor’s house in Sanyo area of Ibadan in Oyo state as they carted away valuables such as a Sony laptop, two iPads, a Toyota Corolla, a Mercedez Benz, and the sum of N200,000.

The leader of the gang however, after raiding the pastor’s house decided to satisfy his sexual desire thereby raping of one of the pastor’s daughters.

The Pastor, according to the police, reported at the Divisional Police Headquarters, Sanyo, Ibadan, on July 22, 2014, 24 hours after the attack.

The other suspects are Afolabi Oluwatobi, 24; Morakinyo Olufemi, 43; Azeez Rafiu, 27, including Ademola, who made the confessional statements which led to the recovering of the weapons.

Nigerians shouldn’t forget that, on that occasion, Namibians had honoured their leader with the highest national award in their behalf, in the process thanking Nigerians for their assistance in the course of Namibia’s war of independence.

The Liberian-American became popular after he entered Nigeria with the disease

Patrick Sawyer lost his life to Ebola a little while after his sister, Princess died of the disease.

The 40-year-old is believed to have been infected after he came in contact with his sibling’s blood.

According to an email, sent on 10 July, 2014, after she passed on, Sawyer knew she had died of Ebola and expressed his grief to his friends.
