PoliticsRe: Fashola Arrests Army Officers On BRT Lane by phantasm(m): 12:15pm On Jul 18, 2012
I have been reading about the arguements about who the law breakers were, the army officers or both(+Governor). In my objective view- Looking @ the situation from a neutral angle, the man who arrested the culprits didnt break any law.... Imagine in a more civilised and developd nation, it is absolutely right for a law maker to do whatever possible, even risking his life to chase and catch a criminal or a law breaker. If traffic has to be altered, then it should be for the sake of maintaining law and order and preventing possible future occurences...
The police didnt have the liver to do it and the man who even has some ammount of authority over even the millitary did it.... He's not to be blamed for doing the right thing.

And how sure are we that the traffic was even caused by him. Imagine yourself in that situation. U were driving and suddenly a popular celeb jumps out of his car to attend to something. As far as that celeb's face is identified, almost every passersby n drivers would want to experience what event is going on... And if the first line drivers stops driving, can the drivers coming from behind fly over the traffichuh

Not a fan of either party but i prefer being truthful in all matters and not being biased in my judgements.....

Music/RadioRe: Dbanj To Release' Oyato' Single On 14th July by phantasm(m): 2:38pm On Jul 15, 2012
Orikinla: Dbanj is not a musician, but a clever entertainer and tongue twister. Of course, there are millions of intellectually re-tar-ded people who think he is fantastic. But Dbanj would fare better if he plays with bands. Lest Nigerians are deceived, Kanye West is just a smart opportunist who is only extending his tentacles with Dbanj. What happened to Nollywood will soon happen to Nigerian hip hop, because mediocrity will never pass the test of time. Femi Kuti's songs are 100% more accomplished than any Dbanj and Darey is still the most accomplished singer among the younger generation. A true musician knows how to compose songs, which instruments to use and how to sing the songs. Without music videos, 90% of our hip hop artistes will not fill a hall in live concert, because they cannot sing, they cannot dance and without the dumb and desperate half naked girls doing nothing more than shaking buttocks in their music videos, they are just clowns on stage.
U get am jare. U are simply a very good observer and you know music well... <chop knuckle>

Music/RadioRe: Who Is The Best Music Producer In Nigeria? by phantasm(m):
Daimler Ben: Anybody wanting to rate should listen, LISTEN I said, to the beats of the song before rating. Those calling Sesan don't listen, they only watch the music videos. Those asking if Davido should be included are listening to his song, not the beat. Those calling Cobhams Asuquo should mention his hit songs, apart from "Maga no need pay". Every other producer is good in his own genre of specification, but I would pick J Martins, Terry G, Don Jazzy & K Solo!
pls dont forget d@ C.Asuquo produced Asa's hit albulm and some of her trending tracks, remember he produced Bez,dare art alade and other 'occasional' artistes who dropped one or two tracks and also the Roof top MC's.... 99% of the songs he produced are not just hits but Classics and they all met international standards.....Music Production is not about beats... Listen to music and not beats... I myself make beats and do some couple of 'music production' for some friends, but I wouldnt call myself a 'producer'. The songs I produced could sound very ok- beat and production wise- but when you listen and pay attention to details, u should be able to sense it all ... If we keep calling people who labelled themselves 'producer', producers, then the whole of naija would be filled with producers.............
Not defending anyone though, but beat making doesnt make anyone a 'producer'......

Lets not forget that there's a difference between a producer and a "beat maker."
A producer could make beats but majorly directs and controls audio productions and perhaps master or audio engineer a music project.
Folks like Davido as at now makes beats but not produce...
Its impossible to say who's best or better but if i am to choose a producer or some to work on a project of mine, if not C.Asuquo, Don Jazzy, or Dr frabz then I just wanna play. And repect to Jude 'E' Okoye also ... Though, I personally dont like Terry G., but I must admit he's a very creative personality...
