First time i heard of it. Not good if your intending employer has to search for your school on the internet just to get an idea of the quality of education you may have received.

That point should be mandatory reading for intending students here. I've seen the repercussions of this many a time - sorry to say, but if you attend many of the lesser known historically black colleges, many big companies will simply thrash your job application.

hmmm it was my dream to study in a us based school since i was in j.s.s1. And i started researching about them even before i entered s.s1 i have a list of schools am applying to though i have decided to go as a transfer student. My point is rely on God and do a lot of research you will find what you want and not someone giving you what you may not like later on, you are not going to be a kid for ever that you won't be able to look after urself

Who told you that the first step to becoming a doctor in the US is Nursing? And Biology does not have to be your major to get into medical school. You can study any course you like, even Yoruba, and still go to medical school; just make sure you follow the pre-med track by taking the premed prerequisites. So, it's always advisable that you study the major you find very easy if you want to get into medical school, because a high GPA is necessary.

u see that my point notice i said a fall back plan, so if i dont get to medical school will i start teaching yoruba or what

How was your Waec result. What course would you.like to study. What city in the US would you want to be based. Do you have relations in the US that u can be close to so they.check.up.on your since you are still 16..... do your parents have money to pay your fees or you need full scholarship

yh my parent are okay,my waec result aint out but i used my gce, i had maths a1,physics b3,chemistry b3,biology c6,agric b3,english b3

My long term goal is to be a medical doctor so the first step now is nursing, i did not go for the normal pre-med as it is not a good fall back plan what will i do with biology if i dont eventually get in med school? That all i thought of

The professor chose langston because it aint far from is own university so he can look after me.

Go to the search button,type undergraduate and click the travel section. Don't be LAZY! Read posts by DareFadi and walspring,they've done justice to this undergrad ish in the past. You can't just read 50 pages and conclude that there's nothing about undergrads. I read from part 1 to part 7 when I joined this thread.
