Politics › Re: Reno Omokri Lists 'The Wealthiest People In Nigeria In 1965' by PHAYOL81: 10:06pm On May 04, 2024 |
Sweetphronesis: The politician wrote this on his social media page in response to a comment:
Having a Rolls Royce neither makes you a billionaire or the wealthiest person in Nigeria. Many rich people then and now do not indulge in such ostentatious lifestyles. For example, the Time Magazine article, which I gave you the link to, also mentions Mobolaji Bank Anthony as one of the wealthiest men in Nigeria as of 1965. Yet, despite having such stupendous wealth, Mr. Bank Anthony did not buy himself a Rolls Royce. What he did with his money was to build a series of free hospitals, which he donated to the Lagos government, including the Ikeja General Hospital, and the National Orthopaedic Hospital, Igbobi. You may be confusing loud ostentatiousness for wealth. Eight persons were mentioned as the wealthiest people in Nigeria by Time in 1965. They include: Sanusi Dantata, 46 Odumegwu Ojukwu, 66 Mobolaji Bank-Anthony, 59 Emmanuel Akwiwu, 43 Shafi Lawal Edu, 54 Timothy Adeola Odutola, 63 Ade Tuyo, 63 Bayo Braithwaite, 36 Of the eight, five were from the Lagos-Ogun axis. One was from Kano. One from Port Harcourt, and one from Nnewi. I hope this helps you understand history better. Thanks again, and may God bless you. #TableShaker
Reno Omokri THE problem of every IGBO man or woman is the drunk believe and faith in their false ethnic ingenuity and wealth so much so that they don't seek the truth because of their contentment in such self-deceit. They went to school truly but end up learning nothing about themselves other than the oral lies their forefathers told them. They always hope their lies was truth so when someone calls out those misinformation, the person automatically becomes their ethnic enemy AND IS SUBSEQUENTLY NAMED TRIBALIST, SUBJECTED TO CURSES AND/OR SUBJECTED TO UNREASONABLE THREATS. |

LegendHero: You too stop being daft. Go and see how SW voted for Yaradua in 2007, Jonathan in 2011, Buhari in 2015, and Buhari in 2019.
All through that years I mentioned, we have Yoruba men on the ballot and we chose to vote other tribes. THANKS for this. That kid is just fooling around with the OP. The other tribes have seen them for what they're. 2027, tears awaits them again. |

LegendHero: You mean non citizen in Yorubaland gave Jonathan this votes in 2011 too?
You guys and delusion dey always amaze me.
So non-citizen gave Jonathan almost 80% votes in Ondo too? THE easterners are the worst hypocrites, even with apparently all bur one SW states casting massive votes in favou of JONATHAN, they are employing half truth to undermine the efforts, all in a bid to exonerate themselves of the obvious thing they did the last election. |

Politics › Re: Don’t Mix Your Good Works With Falsehood, Udensi Tells Gov. Otti (Video) by PHAYOL81: 8:00pm On May 03, 2024 |
Metrix147: He expressed worry over the laxity at which the state government is treating the alleged embezzlement of N107 billion Abia money by the immediate past government, wondering why the governor has not presented evidence to back his claim. Governor Otti while speaking to some Abia people in the United States recently said, “N79.3 billion naira was paid to seven Contractors for contracts that were not executed at all. Another 15.9 billion almost 16 billion was paid to 63 contractors with no supporting documents anywhere. Another 13 billion naira was paid to two contractors for contracts that do not exist out of these figures, and 10 billion naira was on September 25, 2020, paid to some contractor for the construction of Abia State Airport.” In his reaction during a live programme on Love FM and ABN TV, Udensi, a chieftain of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) said he is not taking the state government very seriously in such allegations, saying there are pieces of evidence to prove that similar allegations made by the same government in the past have proven not to be true.
Source: https://abntv.com.ng/news/dont-mix-your-good-works-with-falsehood-udensi-tells-gov-otti-video/ YOU hardly hear uproar on things, like this because IKPEAZU is an IGBO man. They love to call out others (even over allegation on things that don't directly affect them) but shield and silence over atrocities done by one of them (that which directly have negative effects on them). Bunch of hypocrites. |
