complete1: its getting dark already ders still movement and meetings going on,its not like ASUU members came with a bus for obvious recognition,so we are all mute at dis moment,its really suprising dat we students are being deprived of information concerning this strike.

complete1: To be honest wit u all,it doesn't seems like a meeting with ASUU will happen any soon now,my guess is mayb they want to play d normal nigerian time*wen 3oclock is announced it means anoda extra hour* OR d venue has been changed,,i'll try to ask other officials around,its not easy going up to a man fully dressed in new traditional wear to ask questions wit mopol every were,tank God i dont look like a criminal suspect,am just a uniport student giving d opportunity to cover things on ground.will b bk soon.tanks

complete1: The atmosphere at the presidential villa is still normal as usual,tight security,politicians coming in and going out,,i just asked a deligate to be sure if the meeting will still hold but he said he cant be so sure,that the president has alot of meetings today..NOTE:the person i asked is into organising halls for several meetings,he said he also heared about ASUU meeting the president but as at last night ASUU was not on the planed schedue list of the president today,but lets keep our hopes high.

i don't think d meeting will hold today,,,as at this morning in punchng.com,,,it was stated that the meeting date with the president is yet to be fixed...

I doubt if this ASUU strike would be called off dis year,,,i just heard from a very reliable source dt ASUU will have another nec meeting in minna,,,there are still some grey areas dt needs to be resolved....

FG can't meet all their demands,,its politics,,,if they fulfill all ASUU's demands other associations like SSANU,NASU and the rest will come up with their own demands which doesn't sound good

Manchelsea: The NEC MEETING is ongoing, my uncle is a VC and my HOD who is also my project supervisor and like a friend to me is a chairperson ASUU local branch ....ie my university chairperson of the union. Well enough of the profile but what am saying is that BOTH PERSONS confirmed the meeting to be holding but venue, they didn't tell me.

Simon21: Just spoke with a lecturer here in Uniben and he told me in confidence that the strike will be suspended this friday to enable students attend the burial ceremony of Late Prof. Festus Iyayi from 5th to 7th december. This information is trustworthy. U people should start dusting your books and packing your bags cause school finally resumes on monday

Its so sad that the education sector is gradually heading for collapse,,,a lot of damage has being done already,,,final year students in federal uni can't serve dis year again,schools like eksu are yet to write their first semester examz,hope of d strike called off this year is so bleak,,,most nigerian students are already losing interest school which implies that there may be a lot of dropouts,,,students have been at home for five months already,,,is this ASUU's plan of revitalising d educational sector??..
