As a governor Tinubu gave more power to the Local Government and even created more (LCDA) because he believed that is the way governance can easily get to the people although this caused a big fight between him and Obasanjo then.

With Tinubu's antecedents, I won't be surprised if he swiftly assent to the bill that will return Nigeria to regional Government but that's going to offend the Northerners a lot.

But at this level, the Northerners should support to try a new thing. They have ruled the country since yakubu Gowan days and no difference we keep getting worse. So why not try a different thing to get different results. Even the insecurity will be settled.

Yes naija na expert for complains, but it will be far better because 774 LGA are closer to the people and you can easily hold the chairman and his executive responsible for programs. security, farming, grassroot employment etc. since they are autonomous. Moreso, there will be competitions. It has happened before and was good. You will see them during and after elections campaign because they are closer to you. Chairmanship elections used to be tougher. Federal government programs can now get to grassroot and you can easily report those that are underperforming.

Sincerely Nigerians must support and pray for this government to continue. We have witnessed military and civilians government for over 40years and no progress because no plan to follow, each government ran away for responsibility but this one has taken the steps others have been running away from. His target of : changing the constitution to the old one and local government autonomy among others are the best. Am confident he will achieve them.Obasanjo and others scattered all Democratic system and changed election cycle just to favor them both at 1979 and 1999 reason we are in pains till today.
