– One of the Presidential aircraft which was recently handed over to the Nigerian Air Force, Agusta AW 101, a medium-lift helicopter specially designed for military operations, has crashed at the Nigerian Air Force base,Makurdi–
According to a reports, the aircraft crashed due to poor training of crew members saddled to man the operations of the aircraft– Damages to the aircraft were significant but no life was lost to the crash
The crash is coming two months after President Muhammadu Buhari handed over two over the two ballistics defence capable aircraft from the Presidential fleet to the Nigerian Air ForceAccording to a report byTheNewGuru.com, the jet crashed due to poor training of crew members saddled to man the operations of the aircraft.After the handover, the aircraft was repainted from the initial white and green to camouflage.A source told the news website that damages to the jet were significant but no life was lost to the crash.“No fatality but significant damage to aircraft considering the fact that they hardly do insurance in the military. The flight engineer was injured.”
The aircraft, Agusta AW101, which is a large armoured helicopter cost about $21million each (N10.5billion) making it 130% more expensive than the average aircraft of its class.But the Nigerian Air Force, PRO, Group Captain DeleFamuyiwa, has denied the report that one of the aircraftcrashed.“It was not a crash. I wouldn’t call it a crash because itjust fell on the ground in Makurdi.”

Remember when JAMB earlier promised to scrap the use of scratch cards? Well, we can now confirm that the board has now officially effected the scrapping of use of scratch cards, and has further redesigned it's portal to cater for the new changes.

The change is really here! All previous scratch cards have now been invalidated. So if you previously had any scratch card, USED or UNUSED, you can no longer use them on the new portal. Even if you would like to re-print your result slip or JAMB admission letter, you will need repay to do that. If you initially saved the document somewhere, good for you. All Myschoolers, who requested this service through us however, are immune to this, as you can always log into your account here and re-print for free.

With the new system in place, candidates will now be required to have internet enabled ATM cards to be able to print their JAMB result slips, Admission letter or use any e-facility. Parents can also help their children make payments, BUT if you have more than one Child, you will need to choose which of them you would like to purchase a service for, as 1 account can only process services for 1 JAMB registration number. This simply means if you purchase JAMB result slip for JAMB registration number 12345678AB, you can purchase JAMB admission letter and other services for only 12345678AB. It is therefore advisable for candidates themselves to create a JAMB account using their emails and phone numbers, right from Registration (From 2017 UTME).

As for scratch card vendors, cafe operators, business centres, the new JAMB system has been designed to limit or totally prevent multiple requests from different JAMB registration numbers. You will therefore have to find alternatives or maybe register as an accredited JAMB centre. Whether or not this restriction will be lifted to allow candidates, who don't have bank account an option, only time will tell.

The portal seems to still be under construction, as we see some facilities are either not yet active or contain certain errors.

Some of the systems currently described above may change as the 2017 UTME registration draws closer, but until then, JAMB no longer uses scratch cards. Period!

It was a show of shame recently when two guests on Egyptian television battled and hurled abuses at each other, over Islamic religious law.

The tow imams, Sheikh Mustafa Rashed and Nabih Al-Wahsh physically attacked each other with a studio chair and shoe. The brawl was transmitted live on Egypt’s LTC TV after the duo had some disagreement over the use of headscarves.


“You said you were the Mufti of Australia and a scholar in Sydney, but there’s not even a mosque in Sydney,”Al-Wahsh tackled Sheik. Al-Wahsh continued,saying that Al-Azhar, a prestigious Cairo university, had issued a statement saying that Rashed was not a scholar. To reply Al-Wahsh, Rashed said Al-Wahsh needs to go to a mental hospital.“You belong in a mental hospital,”he shouted.


However, when the attack became physical, the show’s host cuts off the transmission and went on a break. He later returned to air the “freestyle wrestling” match that had taken place on the show’s set while the transmission was off. Rashed was seen in the video hurling a studio chair at Al-Wahsh’s head, while Al-Wahsh removed a shoe, and struck Rashed repeatedly.Cameramen rushed to the set to separate the two men, whose argument had broken a glass table and trashed the set. “I did not see this coming. I’ve been working in media for over 20 years, and I’ve never seen a dialoguebetween two guests deteriorate to the point of physical violence.
