I'll admit I didn't watch the entire LoT S01 but you're mixing things up... Savage was always alive. It's Carter and Kendra that reincarnate.
Them killing Savage at the different points in time simultaneously should have created a time paradox but nothing of that sort happened.

The most difficult time to be in a relationship as a guy is in your early twenties.The period when you are stuck in a limbo, trying to figure out yourself and who you want to be.

At this age, you find it a herculean task asking money from your parents, considering your dad will always remind you of how he was self sufficient at your age. So you are always left with "Nkechiyere" anyone that comes from them willingly. To compound your "woes". You have a girlfriend whom you love so much, you are 24 and she is 23. And guys being wired to want to take control, you are frustrated at your inability to take care of her like you want to.
I mean where is the money??
You are still jobless, still hustling, still finding your feet.
Still putting hands in to many things hoping for good. All of a sudden, she starts acting out and showing attitude. You call, and she takes forever to pick or return your calls. When she finally does pick, the call is like an interview session with those annoying and frustrating one word replies. Yes, no, fine, okay, nothing.

Then finally she ends the call with a flimsy excuse like " wait let me close the fridge", i will call you back. And the call never comes back. Then one day she calls you and asks you "where is this relationship heading to?.
You don't even know where your own life is heading to, not to talk of a relationship. Then she drops the bombshell. Tells you that she met a guy who wants to marry her. And how age isn't on her side, and you are almost compelled to scream "But you are just 23". Can't you wait 3 more years let me make it.
You just hold yourself and play the good guy. You ask her if she loves him, she dodges the question and replies you with " He treats me well". Well since she wasn't informing you to take permission, she was simply telling you.

You have to be the cool guy and wish her well. One week later, she gives you the traditional wedding card. And then you do the math yourself. She was talking to the guy a long time before now.

Then you realise that for every "K" you got on WhatsApp, the guy was getting a long epistle.
You have been played. Worse is you cant even blame her, you are just a prospect who no one knows what will become of your life in 4years time. Would you have made it or not? She has gone for the real deal, someone who has already made it.

In footballing terms, you are a "Anthony Martial" ( prospect) while the guy is a Messi ( has made it already). I mean you were sending her cards of N200, and the guy was telling her to manage 10k for the weekend. No comparison there.
And then you go through that silent heartbreak guys go through, the ones they don't talk about. And unceremoniously you get inducted into the special hall of fame where members are young guys whose childhood loves and friends or girlfriends they thought they would end up with left them to marry someone else. Your heart is broken into smithereens. In this hall of fame, you are all victims. Victims of not having found your path in your early twenties.
At the wedding, no sight is more heartbreaking than seeing "the love of your life" say "I do" to this guy she just met 6 months ago.
To make matters worse, you get an alert from Diamond bank telling you how N13 have been deducted for bank charges. You are mad.Your N4000, is down to N3987 rendering that N1k useless, you can only withdraw N3k now. And that's your home and abroad. Can life be more unfair at this moment?

6 years later. You are 30 now. Congratulations, you finally made it. You are as rich as you hoped you will become. You are one of the happening guys in town. You go to a wedding. With your friends, the men on suit. Those guys that just intimidate everyone in the hall. You are seated scouting the hall, and the bridal train passes by. Of course, bridal train and ashoebi ladies always show themselves. That's part of the job description. Sampling. And you spot one, she is beautiful, elegant and tall. You walk up to her, chat her up. Exchange numbers and you leave. She is 24, ripe for marriage. Three months later, you are sounding marriage to her ears. She loves how it sounds.

And somewhere else, a 25year old boy still finding his way is wondering why the girlfriend is becoming distant these days.
Why is he getting those one worded replies which is unlike her. Why do there chats seem more like interview. And fast fast, you have proposed and simultaneously she is asking the 25year old boy that question of
"Where is this relationship going to". And then you marry her, and somewhere a boy gets heart broken.

You see we are always going to do this to ourselves.

The speedforce only allows speedsters to time travel, it don't give accuracy. That is a skill for the speedster to acquire. Imagine how RF timetravels in LOT with accuracy. That is a skill you first need before you start changing things.

There isn't any particular skill required to time travel. In fact, I put it to you that the problem isn't the time travel itself but what you do when you time travel.
Case study: Flash season 1 finale.
Barry goes back in time but does not change things, leaving the timeline as it is in the present.
This brings me back to LoT... They're changing the timeline or as Ray Palmer put it, 'creating time aberrations'.
Take a look at season 1, the 'legends' going back in time to kill Savage... If they succeeded, it should have created an alternate timeline but even after they killed Savage, all was still the same in 2016 except a certain historian that noticed a few changes in history books. Should that even be possible? I mean the historian bit.

It will be too complicated, because they will have to first show us the original timeline where Barry got his powers naturally while his dad and mum were still alive.
What we have seen so far from season 1 is the 2nd timeline created by RF when he tried to kill young Barry but failed then decided to settle score by killing his mother then resulted in him creating "flash" artificially.
Then, the 3rd timeline when Barry tried to return to the first timeline by "unkilling" his mom. The dude still even want to keep the knowledge of the 2nd timeline where he got his power artificially. (Dumb)
Even if they want to do that, it would have been part of the crossover but they didn't.

We don't need to see the original timeline, just them stopping Eobard.
That should be enough to create Legendpoint? I mean everybody's been calling that fantasy world of Arrow's 100th episode Arrowpoint...
Why wouldn't he want to keep the memories of the 2nd timeline?
That's basically his whole life, where his friends are. This timeline had Cisco as a dickish billionaire, Cait as a paediatric ophthalmologist, Joe as a drunk...

They are not the only speedsters out there in the future, the word was only new to Barry

Have you ever wondered why they hardly use the word "timeline " in LOT? because of the precision of the machine they use. Flash just run "top speed" , close his eyes and gbam, there he is in the past, sometimes get lost, even onetime got there TOO EARLY, Barry can also achieve precision in time travelling but it will take time, even the great reverse flash from the future (with absolute knowledge of time) travels and miss road.

In flashpoint, time travelling was done 4 good times,
First, Barry time travel the past, saved his mum, second, took reverse flash and traveled back to the future(if it was LOT coming back after saving the mum, the machine will ensure they land back in their initial timeline, not another one). This is someone who is an amateur in time travelling. He didn't even know the name of what he was doing (flashpoint).

I'm afraid I trust the speedforce better than a machine...
But just to satisfy our curiousity, I wish they do an episode where LoT crew go and stop Tharwne from killing Barry's mom. I'd like to see the effects...

Flashpoint is just a name suggested by Eobard not that that's the name of what Barry did. I hope you understand this point.

The only reason why other persons know about flashpoint is because Barry told them just the same way other persons don't know what changes happen in the timeline unless LoT crew tell them.. .well, let's forget Savitar and Alchemy for the meantime

It could be understandable that Barry changed time manually (which could be rough on time) while they (LOT) used machine which is precise and neat, is like cutting through bread by ripping it apart(barry) and using engine to slice it(lot).

They used a machine to get to the place the same way Barry used his speed.
The machine doesn't tell them what to do, just like Barry's speed doesn't tell him what to do.
Whether you cut a chunk of bread with your bands or you slice it, you can't make the bread whole again.

I expected changes to the timeline based on what Sarah told Darkh but of course not. Guess what would have happened if a certain scarlet speedster went back in time and told Darkh his future?
Events ranging from Darkh being successful in his plan to nuke Star City to as far as total demolition of the world. After which we get a special season where the survivors from earth move to another planet and blame Barry, placing a bounty on his head and ranking him public enemy 1.


I'm not joking, this could legit happen!

I think what the legends are doing are quite different from Barry's....actions. There seem to be a difference between changing the timeline and changing history. When the legends interact with their past selves like Stein did, the changes to the future seem to only lie with the affected legend. But in Barry's case, the effect spread across time (Basically everything that's existed in that time lines even those that existed before he saved his mom).
Anyways great episodes. Supergirl's was deer, Arrow has too much drama for my taste and that's why i don't watch it & the legends episode of the crossover had less legend involvement than the others had in their episodes.
The dominators weren't that bad either.

They're doing the same thing. Legends rewriting history/the timeline with little/no effects on the present is a massive loophole...

He changed only the events after his mother's death.

Waitaminute

1. Cisco asks Barry to go back and time and save his brother. Barry says no. Cisco gets angry.
* The Barry in this timeline before our Barry shows up must have been smart and disciplined enough to know the effects of time travel.

2. Cisco discovers that Barry has gone back in time to save his own mother, lived in it, realised his mistake, lets his mother redie. Cisco is angry because Barry went back in time to save his mother but refused to save his brother.
* Of course, the Barry he asked is not this Barry.

Barry gives pep talk and everyone makes up.

3. Cisco learns that Barry's flashpoint may or may not have been related to the death of his brother. Cisco gets angry and distrusts Barry, almost getting in the way of the mission.
*I vote Oliver, I trust him.

It's only a matter of time before we learn that Barry's flashpoint actually caused Cisco's brother's death and then we see Cisco angry again.






Quick question: If Oliver, Kara and Barry are the Trinity of this verse and Oliver represents Batman, Kara represents Superman in absentia. Does that mean that Barry represents Wonderwoman?


Another question. Why were there three Barrys at the end of the season two finale?

Arrow's episode wasn't crap...it just didn't fit the crossover.


It's the fault of the producers... They should have pushed the crossover till next week and just celebrated Arrow's 100th episode this week.

Cisco getting angry was normal, if he didn't get angry at all, the movie would have looked like cartoon to me, it was all natural and the reason for change of heart is also perfect, reason been that, he for once got the chance to do what Barry does and he made the same mistake Barry made. There he realized that good intention sometimes does not always yield good result. So he was practically in Barry's shoes.

His anger was normal but it was over dragged.

Can you remember the original reason why Cisco was angry with Barry?

My worst part was when i see everyone complaining that Barry changed the past yet Cisco was previously angry that barry refused to go back and save his brother... I'm yet to watch the LoT part, but I doubt it'll make much of an improvement.
One thing that beats my understanding is why the Aliens walk around naked without clothes on, yet they are intelligent beings, i know it has little bearing on the plot, but they look wierd running around like that.

My thoughts exactly. If Cisco has super speed, he'd have gone back to save his brother. Anyways he's back to bring Barry's friend even though the reason for his change of heart is really ridiculous.
