And what makes them feel they'd beat AS Roma?? Perhaps you don't know the standing 1. Lazio 12 points 2. Nice 6 points 3. Zulte 4 points 4. Vitesse 1 point They need just 1 point to top the group. 5.5 teams are competing for the Scudetto so why risk players in the UEL? |

Obalende: I knew at some point someone would try to descend into getting personal; if we could refrain from that please.
As per bolded, if that is what you believe, you reserve the right to your own beliefs.
I am of the opinion that men became stupid at some point as evidenced by the ills they commit in society (including mass shootings) and hence lost the so called leadership position. Leadership goes to the most qualified. Modern day women show evidence of very strong leadership while nigerian men continue to be ego maniacs.
Feminism is the new dawn. Long live servitude of Nigerian men to girls. Amen. You kid nobody but yourself... |

Obalende: The objective of this thread is toward the elimination of violent crimes which are mostly male perpetrated- the specific crimes are terrorism, armed robberies, assassinations, and the likes. Hope this answers your question. So, in the event that the male violent crimes which are in the majority in eliminated (which is impossible by the way), what about the female violent crimes? If the thread is only aimed at eliminating male violent crimes while actively ignoring the female violent crimes, then it's absolutely ridiculous!!! Let me give you a good thread; one that aims at reducing (elimination is next to impossible) violent crimes irrespective of whether it's perpetrated by male or female!!! |
Politics › Re: Feminist Approach To Government And Leadership Will Reduce Crime In Nigeria by Phi001(m): 11:11am On Nov 20, 2017 |
Obalende: The overwhelming majority of violent crimes are committed by men in Nigeria - from terrorism (BH), to armed robberies to organized crime syndicates. Also most wars have been triggered by males. Excellent diversion, but you didn't answer the question. Are you interested in eliminating all crimes or male perpetrated crime? |

Obalende: Please I do not get personal in intellectual conversations please. toxic male behavior is defined as: unnecessary aggressive behaviors that are praised as what makes one a man - e.g. beating a wife as a way of exercising authority, dangerous driving to exhibit control etc. and you've been emphasizing it since... So what about toxic female behavior? Abi it doesn't exist? You post reeks on sexism!!! It tries to portray men as the cause of the society's rot... Unless of course, you're inferring that only males have the supposed 'toxic behavior'... |

Obalende: This thread is about about constructive ways to handle high crime rates in Nigeria - mostly perpetrated by the men - not about gender equality.
My suggestion was a feminist approach - what if we tried female bus drivers and female conductors with male police officers on each bus to tackle one chance robberies? What if marriage was de-emphasized in Nigeria so men feel less financial pressures which could lead them into crime - this way men work for their money and women work for their money. What if aggressive/ toxic male behavior instead of being accepted as "what makes you a man" becomes frowned upon.
We need more suggestions like holocrons. This is sexist!!! Now, personally, I don't care about feminism, but that's just plain sexist!!! Both genders have certain toxic behaviors...stop emphasizing the male!!! Let's assume the 'toxic male behavior' is curbed, what happens to the female one? |

Obalende: Canada Adopts Feminist International Funding Policy - 90% of Funds to go to women and girls by 2022
According to Chrystia Freeland, Canada’s foreign minister, this new policy was developed after consultations with 15,000 people from 60 countries. In operation, it will refocus billions of Canadian aid dollars toward “advancing gender equality” and “the empowerment of women and girls”. In terms of scale and percentage, the change is tremendous. Canada has, in the years since 2010, spent only 1-2% of its international assistance funds on women. With the adoption of this new policy that number will increase to 90% by 2022.

Before people start crying foul, check the crime statistics - of what use is it funding potential robbers and criminals? Of what use is it funding starters of world wars? It is the same world war toxicity that causes motor vehicle accidents on Nigerian highways because the drivers are too aggressive and undisciplined! The Canada that you're citing as an example, did they do it because of crime rate? |

Gwan2: Logically you can extrapolate the extend of advancement to come in the next millennium by examining the advancement that took place 1000 yrs ago. Within those years , Airplanes, cars, nuclear technology, space research came into existence. Also, there was a great human psychological and behavioural evolution witnessed with those years. . Scientifically, humans just use a little above 10% of their brain power or capacity,, the most genius of humans use like 15% of theirs......In the next 1000 years, due to the level of sophistication, robotics, advancement..any human still using 10-15% of their brain power will be regarded as dull and archaic. Myth!!! |
