To stay ancient, or go modern?
If the modern and more productive approach is employed in livestock farming, then the following benefits can be reaped:
• Increased yield for livestock-farmers. • More income for the livestock owners. • Trade ties between [crop] farmers and livestock keepers: Silage, Soilage, Hay | Dairy, Livestock products. • Job creation/ employment opportunities. • It is a Win-Win for all.

Can importation of staple food reduce inflation?
Steps to curbing inflation while sustaining production might involve: • Encouraging importation of agricultural inputs✓.
• Creating an enabling environment for farmers to cultivate.✓
• Implementation of proper policy to enhance eco friendly, large scale livestock production.
• Allowing intermittent importation of staple food, pre-harvest annually.
• Price regulations by trade unions/consumer protection agencies.

lexy2014: Tripartite Committee on the National Minimum Wage has a funding of N1billion to sit and discuss on how to make minimum wage N62,000. very wonderful Sadly, for obvious reasons, N62,000 isn't a living wage. Provided Nigeria will be better, with the implementation of proper policies, a living wage can be sustainable and will be sustained ; inflation will subside and GDP will go up. |

A well-planned import-export quota system should be adopted to maintain economic stability and sustain a positive impact on the domestic market as well.
Large scale production preceeds exportation. & Only a suitable percentage of the local products should be exported:
Generally, a common range for export percentage is:
- 10-20% for products with high domestic demand or limited production capacity.
- 20-30% for products with moderate demand and production capacity.
- 30-50% or more for products with low domestic demand, high production capacity, and strong international demand.

Richtaiwo: I thought gas flaring has stopped. Why the flaring? Can't it be converted to a useful purpose? I understand gas flaring produces excessive carbon monoxide (CO) which destroys ozone layer leading to global warming. It does. Maybe that's what is obtainable for now. There should be modification to the structure that would ensure proper conversion of such gas into useable forms . |
