Is it only igbo land that people based in lagos become governors or legislators? Makinde, adeleke, abiodun in the south west are all lagos based , same with other states that are abuja and lagos based too
Shebi Tinubu has appointed many Yorubas but majority of our people are still hungry and dying in rice/giveaway stampedes. So wetin be the gain gan gan? So because a private individual faught hard to build his estate HIMSELF, he shouldn't complain if the govt shares infrastructure to every one else but skips him intentionally? How does Igbos controlling trade negate the fact that the govt intentionally refuses to establish GOVT AGENCIES in Igboland or appoint Igbo men? |

professorPABX: Yes. They have to praise him. Soludo is an economist, a First Class economist. He was an Economic Adviser to Federal Government and Chairman, National Planning Commission and later, CBN governor. Soludo knows under the situation that Tinubu came to power with Fiscal and Monetary policies crises, it takes ingenuity to start new projects less than 180 days of assumption of power. Also, with his exposure they can read the direction of the government.
All the issues mentioned have been on ground without any hope of resolutions. The fact that there is development commission and there are people working behind the scenes to kickstart one or two of those project are success. You don't need to tell me about Soludo, he was my lecturer. I support and fancy his brain work but I dislike his politics. For now there is nothing praise worthy in the news |

sonnie10: There is always a maximum point one can scale any business before the law of diminishing returns sets in. First, what is the share market value of toilet paper within their covered region? Then, how much of that share market value can their company alone possibly grab? You might think they could explore or expand into other places but it not that feasible. Consider the cost of logistics and their margins would drastically shrink. Remember, we are talking about a bulky item. Transport adds to overhead, that puts them in disadvantage as they wouldn’t be able to compete with other localized companies in the new market. Your plenty theory is why many run away from business while others are booming. The margin in this business can't be less than 40% and plenty room to scale. How many tissue paper manufacturer do you know in your state? |

He did not rush for the position but gave the zone it was due to as at then and he succeeded. After that he said he was next and against all odds got it with all opposition he faced.

How is Nigeria at present?
How much do I need to start back? Nairaland is a wrong place to get a honest feedback on this because most people here are driven by the Japa syndrome (abroad or nothing mentality). I personally have 2 friends who relocated back to Nigeria and doing great, one now works with the World Bank Nigeria, the other works with Lagos Busines School. A close family member relocated from Dubai 4years ago and currently doing better in Nigeria Do proper calculations and you could be fine with whatever you decide. These are the same people who claimed foreign investment is bullshit, now that the VAT collection have exposed their unproductivity, they want to be coming up with as usual flimsy excuse See how you proudly display your low IQ. Are you aware "free trade zone" means no or very low tax? yet thats where many companies operate? Thr East has plenty of informal business, eg " me and my sons ventures" and sole proprietors controlling millions and billions in turnover but low tax because of the structure. It's different from a small company in a place like Lagos with 3 staff yet "Ltd" in registration and heavy tax. Go to Alaba and computer village and find out how many are Ltd in registration |
