Now we know you’re head over heels over the girl you met last week. No matter how good the first few dates went by, no matter how ‘compatible’ you have begun to feel already, you must not hurry into saying those three words – not just yet. While you may be totally into her already, she may need some time to think about where your relationship is heading. There is a correct time for everything, and before that, you must not overwhelm her by saying ‘I Love You’. Here are 8 reasons why you must never say those three words too soon. 1.It Kills The Excitement Believe us, the best parts of a relationship are the early beginnings where this is a certain amount of uncertainty in the minds of both partners. Going weak in the knees just looking at her, getting goose bumps every time she touches you, spending nights talking to each other over the phone – all this, once lost may never come back. By saying ‘I Love You’, you put a full stop to this excitement. 2.Your Obsession Is On Display It makes you look like a possessive, obsessive, desperate fool who wants nothing but a girlfriend in life. If you plan to spend your future with her, she better be impressed by your personality. Don’t come across as an insecure guy greedy for love. 3.You Fail To See The Reality There’s a difference between infatuation and love – a difference only time can make clear. By confessing your so-called love for her, you force your mind to believe that you actually love her. Your feelings may die down with a few more dates, but you’d be forcing yourself too hard to believe that she really is the one. Not just that, it puts immense pressure on the girl too. You’re better off without it. 4.It Could Lead To A Heartbreak Like men, a lot of women too are commitment phobic. While you may be all set to take the plunge without even thinking about it thoroughly, it might put the girl in question in a dilemma. And you know how it ends when a woman isn’t sure of her own feelings. You may end up losing what could have been yours, had you given it some more time. 5.You’ll Be Judged Even if you mean it, wait for the perfect time to say it. It’s not hard for men to fall in love in just a few days. But most women, my friend, are judging every move of yours. You may come across as vain and immature to a woman if you say ‘ I Love You ’ too soon. This ruins your chances totally. Do you want that? 6.What You See May Not Be Real To love people, you have know them very closely, if not inside out. Chances are, you were trying really hard at being ‘courteous’ and so was she. That might not be the real her. You must spend enough time with your date in order to know them personally, beyond their job descriptions and favourite drinks. 7.It May Result In A Disastrous Relationship Saying ‘I Love You’ could also make the girl believe that she loves you too. And once the words are exchanged, there’s no damage control possible. A half baked relationship where the partners are clueless about how they really feel and yet, commit to each other for life is the worst set up ever. It will only end in bitterness. 8.It May Draw You Two Apart Once awkward around each other, there is only little you can do to make up for it with your girl . Even though she may go on to love you in the near future, rushing in to commitment may just ruin your chances. She might get creeped out by your ‘love’ and decide to move away. Before I forget, if it's a 9ja girl you risk being used and dumped. |
I was sitting with my friends having lunch in a restaurant and one other my friends asked a question. She has two suitors; one is a promising young man, while the other is a much older man who has got it all, materially speaking. My friend asked asked which one is a better choice when it comes to marriage: The younger or older one. |
Please let her go I promise you there is someone better out there. I ve had a similar experience... There is always someone better but we are just afraid of change and the illusion of being in love |
Please let go of the former guy and give ur current guy all the attention and love he deserves and he will love u back. U probably tuned ur mind not to accept him and that can be very annoying to us guys. Look at the positive side and glorify him and don't carry on talking abt ur ex around him. |
Unfortunately, your research is invalid as 'tis only 10 I ever did |

They say beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, but how about beholding urself first. To be more specific, the truth is that most people can't tell how beautiful or handsome they are... that's why u we have even guys bleaching their skin today and girls wearing excessive makeup unable to see the beauty within. To often u hear very good looking people saying things like how I wish I've got that guy/babes looks I go dey make things happen. I have been caught in the act comparing myself with a friend with full beards and some times Drake. I was at a saloon to cut my hair and the guy said I know Drake is ur favorite artiste lemme make u look like him, so I replied do u do plastic surgery now? In the same way in an attempt to look like Chris Brown and Rihanna or Drake and Nicki Minaj alot of our beautiful babes and cute niggas disfigure their God given beauty. Tell me if I dey lie. |
Oh well, this is my sixth year with my first and I intend to my her. |
LAGOS—THE All Progressives Congress, APC, Presidential Candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari, yesterday, defended himself over his school certificate saga. This came as his secondary school certificate result emerged, yesterday, when the Katsina State Ministry of Education released a certified statement of result of the presidential candidate’s 1961 school certificate examination. Before the result was released, Gen. Buhari took a pause from his campaign schedule to address a press conference on the matter. Buhari described as a mischief orchestrated by the Jonathan administration to distract him from the issues of corruption, insecurity and unemployment which he said were at the heart of the campaign. The production of the school certificate result nonetheless, the PDP Presidential Campaign Organization was, unrelenting as it yesterday called on Buhari to withdraw from the presidential contest on the basis of alleged perjury. The body said Buhari’s earlier claim on oath that his credentials were with the army board had been contradicted by available evidence. Speaking at a press conference in the Kano State Government House, yesterday, Buhari expressed surprise that the Army board claimed not to be in possession of his certificate. He said he had as such requested his secondary school, the then Provincial Secondary School, Katsina now Government Secondary School, Katsina to provide the result. The statement of result as authenticated by the present principal and examination officer of the school showed that Buhari who entered for eight subjects obtained five credits and one pass while he failed in two subjects. The failed subjects were Woodwork and Mathematics. He obtained credits in English, Hausa, Economics, Geography, History and Health Science and obtained a pass in English Literature. Buhari defends self Earlier at a press conference in Kano, Buhari flanked by his running mate, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo and party chieftains had read out a press statement. He said: “I only consented to address you this morning because of the genuine concern expressed by many supporters and other well- meaning Nigerians that the issue be addressed. Otherwise, I would have dismissed it for what it is —sheer mischief— and would not have considered it an issue worth the nation’s while. “I had assumed all along that all my records were in the custody of the Military Secretary of the Nigerian Army. Much to my surprise, we are now told that although a record of the result is available, there are no copies of the certificates in my personal file. This is why I formally requested my old school, the Provincial Secondary School, Katsina (which is now known as Government College, Katsina) to make available the school’s copy of the result of the Cambridge/West African School Certificate. This will be made available to the press the moment this is available. “However, before we obtain that, let me say for the record that I attended Provincial Secondary School, Katsina. I graduated in 1961 with many prominent Nigerians, including General Shehu Yar’Adua, former Chief of Staff at the Supreme Headquarters, and Justice Umaru Abdullahi, a former President of the Court of Appeal. We sat for the University of Cambridge/WASC Examination together in 1961, the year we graduated. My examination number was 8280002, and I passed the examination in the Second Division. “And although the ruling party may want to wish this away, the issue in this campaign cannot be my certificate which I obtained 53 years ago. The issues are the scandalous level of unemployment of millions of our young people, the state of insecurity, the pervasive official corruption which has impoverished our people and the lack of concern of the government for anything other than the retention of power at all costs.” Not long after Buhari’s address, yesterday, copies of his WASC result were released, copies of which were sent to Vanguard by the APC. Buhari should withdraw — PDP Campaign Calling on Buhari to withdraw from the presidential contest on the allegation that he committed perjury on the basis of his earlier claim on oath that the certificate was with the Army board, spokesman of the President Jonathan campaign organization, Femi Fani-Kayode said: “Information reaching us now has shown that the Presidential candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC), General Muhammadu Buhari has disclosed today (yesterday) in Kano at a press conference that the affidavit he swore to in which he claimed that his credentials were in the custody of the military was not true after all. “The implication of the action of this so-called “Mr Clean” is nothing but perjury and we all know that this is a grave criminal offence under our laws and constitution. “We urge Buhari and his party to do the right thing and tender an unreserved apology to the Nigerian people, throw in the towel and report to the nearest police station for interrogation and prosecution. Anything less than that would be an insult to the collective intelligence and integrity of the Nigerian people. “We also urge the Nigerian Armed Forces to consider the possibility of stripping him of his rank and privileges given the fact that he was never qualified to join the Nigerian Army as a commissioned officer in the first place because he never had the prerequisite qualification which was a school certificate. Given this, at best Buhari should never have been anything more than a non-commissioned officer.”

The Lagos State Signage and Advertising Agency (LASAA ) has ordered the Transformation Ambassadors of Nigeria (TAN ) and its affiliates to remove illegally deployed campaign adverts of President Goodluck Jonathan in the state . LASAA ’ s Managing Director George Noah told reporters yesterday in Lagos that two outdoor agencies had their contracts worth N 350 million terminated due to the flagrant act by supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP ). Noah named the two agencies as Touch Point Nigeria Limited and Clearedge Limited, adding that two advertisers- a Chinese Telecoms Firm and Globacom- have terminated their contracts with the outdoor companies , following the parallel and illegal deployment of the President ’ s campaign advert. He said the agency was constrained by the developments in the electioneering campaign “ to bring to the fore impunity and illegality that pose immeasurable and long term damage to those who erect, operate and maintain billboards in the state ” . Noah said as a regulatory body, LASAA was willing to give approval to any party that applied to use any of the authorised places, adding that rather than follow due process , PDP and its supporters engage in unlawful acts of destroying other existing adverts paid for on the streets poles to paste that of President Jonathan and other candidates. Noah stressed that the development was capable of destroying the outdoor industry , particularly at this time of severe competition from TV , radio and social media . “ This illegal and brazen act by agents of the PDP is unjust , inconsiderate and unacceptable, ” Noah said , stressing that if not checked it could lead to the lay off of workers and loss of revenues by stakeholders in the sector . Noah said the PDP had deployed policemen in areas where this illegality was going on , adding that the agencies would remove such campaign materials in line with the enabling law setting up LASAA . He said the fact that the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria ( APCON) was also putting ‘ X ’ signs on the campaign materials further confirmed that the advert materials were deployed without complying with the regulatory standard . “ What they have done now is to withdraw policemen who help us do our job, and using the same police to deploy the campaign materials in unauthorised locations ” . “ They are coming to Lagos to disrupt the outdoor business worth about N 50billion and which employs about 100 , 000 people . They have transferred all sorts of people to Lagos State to do their dirty jobs . It is one illegality gone too far. ” |
Beautiful and busty Nollywood actress, Angela Philips, seems to have a kind of disappearing acts with the media. There was a time she disappeared into thin air and only reappeared when news was running riot that she was living in a church with her pastor. Now after a long lull, sultry Angela was seen at an event in Lagos she talked with Potpourri. For those who have a long memory, you would have to excuse it for a minute or so. Forget Angela had told us she was a born-again Christian of high spirituality. I guess that happened to her when she met her Pastor, then “old things have passed away’ but making out of what she told Potpourri those “Old things may be things of future past”. In the chat with Potpourri, she wasn’t talking about Christ coming soon, but about nudity and sex and how it is the salt of entertainment. She even took a jibe at Nigerians, observing that Nigerians are hypocrites who love nudity but pretend not to because of some cultural and religious orientations they would sooner kick than keep. “That’s what the public want to see, so why are they complaining? They shouldn’t complain. If you shoot a movie where everyone is well dressed and covered from head to toe, nobody will buy it. They want to see naked girls. Nigerians should stop pretending. That’s what we like and those are the things that sell. Look at the musicians for instance, how many gospel songs sell? But when you look at the secular music, you’ll realise they’re making waves. Look at our music videos. Everybody likes nudity, be it in movies or music, so they should stop complaining,”

The Citizens Advocacy for Social and Economic Rights (CASER) a civil society group, has approached the ECOWAS Community Court of Justice seeking the suspension of 2015 general elections in Nigeria. Mr Frank Tiete, the Executive Director of CASER, told a news conference in Abuja on Thursday that the move was due to insecurity in parts the country. He said the group was motivated to file the application based on early warning signs that lives of Nigerians were being threatened ahead of the elections, NAN reports. Tiete, a lawyer, said the application sought an order directing the President of ECOWAS to urgently assess the security situation in Nigeria and the under listed prayers. “To invoke the necessary provisions of the ECOWAS Protocol relating to the mechanism for conflict prevention, management, resolution, peace keeping and security. “An order directing the ECOWAS President to publish and disseminate the report of the Threat Assessment of the Security Situation in Nigeria. “An order directing the Federal Government and the Authority of Heads of State and Government of ECOWAS to publish the Federal Government’s report. “This is with a view to determining whether the general elections in 2015 in Nigeria should be postponed/suspended in order to protect and preserve the citizens’ fundamental human right to life.’’ Tiete said the application was pursuant to provisions of the ECOWAS Protocol Relating to the Mechanism for Conflict Prevention, Management, Resolution, Peace Keeping and Security. According to him, Section 11 (6) of ECOWAS Conflict Prevention Framework provides that“ human security refers to….threats to people/ individual’s rights, livelihoods, safety and life.’’ He said the call had legal basis in Section 135(3) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. “If the federation is at war in which Nigeria is physically involved and the President considers that it is not practicable to hold elections, the National Assembly may extend the period of four years mentioned in subsection (2) of 135. “But no such extension shall exceed a period of six months at any time.’’ Tiete said the present political, ethnic and religious tensions in Nigeria were far greater in degree than the situation before 2011 elections which led to post election violence that claimed several lives. According to him, the present state of insecurity of human life in Nigeria cannot sustain the conduct of general elections. The lawyer said the application was purely in public interest as there was no iota of connection between the action and any political party. |
Abakaliki – President Goodluck Jonathan on Friday expressed the hope of a woman becoming Nigeria’s president in his life time. Jonathan, who said this at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential rally in Abakaliki, Ebonyi, noted that women in the country were intelligent and hard working. He insisted that women should be encouraged to participate in governance, especially politics. “My hope is that a female will one day occupy the position of the president of this country. “I will also like to see Nigerian women who have distinguished themselves in their various field make more global impact,’’ he said. Jonathan, who commended women for supporting PDP, solicited their support by voting for him in the Feb. 14 presidential poll. Similarly, the First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan, who addressed women at the campaign, urged them to vote for the president as “one of their own”. “Nigerian women, you cannot exchange your own for another. “You must belong to a place or group where you are accorded full recognition. “And PDP is that place; we have no other party,” she said. I have laughed out my belly read and enjoy. After church on Sunday, A wife saw her husband sitting quietly she decided to ask him, darling, "why re u so gentle?" HE replied, "I'm still thinking about what the pastor said." Wife asked, "What is it?" HE said, "the pastor confessed he slept with all married nd single women in d church but ONLY 1 woman didn't want to sleep with him." Wife replied "It must be tht Mrs Eunice! She tinks she is better than everyone." lolz! What will you do, if na u be d man? |
Nonsense postulations. Deceive urself |
Oh sh*t. |
Wisegeek01:Now that's pretence I don't like... Be truth to urself and tell u me u go to church without knowing how much u want to give. Didn't u see the word "budget"? |
Its actually an awkward moment when u over give ur actual budget for the service. Ever had the experience? Some time In 2010 I unknowingly drop my mum's 1k into the offering bag...I froze as I watched the money dropped slowly. I didn't know what to do immediate i got to seat I searched myself like i had double 1k notes but there was my offering just sitting in my pocket. The good thing was that after church these couple called me and asked if they could pay my fees but I told them I was waiting for admission. so they gave me an envelope for my mum. Seem like that was my saviour because my mum is kinda a religious person. Secondly, I was busy looking for change for 1k throughout church service until it got to the time for offering. It will feel awkward to be the only person sitting while others walk down the aisle to drop offering so I zombifiable followed and dropped my 1k. Well miraculously, a lady who was going for service called me and said she will miss me, she shoke my hands and there was 3k... Lastly, this sh*t seemed to be working just fine for me, so next Sunday I dropped N500 and up to today I still dey wait for my reward... |
Lately, these are the only music I listen to |
Handel’s Messiah is perhaps the greatest Christian musical work ever produced. Here is a new recording of the complete Messiah, conducted by the famous composer and conductor, John Rutter, featuring the Cambridge Singers and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. I love to relax every Sunday and listen to the great works of Handel. It gives me the Messiahic spirit. If there are any out there that love the sweet sounds, u can search and download the album.
