Hi, I am Phred. I have some simple questions

I am a USA citizen. I live in Singapore, and plan to stay. I plan to marry a woman from Myanmar who also lives in Singapore. In haste I requested a K1 visa. It is pending, but held up for a RFE.

Anyway, the USA has nothing to offer up except tourism. She has a young son who we would rather not expose to the bad behavior of American children. We never planned to live in the USA anyway. I explained that in the K1 visa request. We only wanted to get married there.

We have since decided to get married in Singapore and go on a honeymoon in the USA. How can I cancel the pending K1? Will it cause a problem getting a B2 after we are married?

I have strong ties to Singapore, and none at all to the USA.

If you have some idea, I would also like to know why everyone assumes we would want to move to the USA? I grew up there. I witnessed a lifetime of crime and drugs. I do not care to see more of it.
