What I learnt from the death of Alhaji Abubakar Audu tonight... Just when his family were about to start jubilating, they were thrown into mourning. Just when the wife was thinking about being a first lady, she became a widow. Just when the children were about to become the children of the number one citizen of their state, they became orphans. Just when the world was about to rejoice with them, they were thrown into aw. Life is not a bed of roses, never feel too comfortable. Enjoy your day |
The circled kid in this picture is the current president of Gabon, Ali Bongo. Don't let your background put you on the ground. The picture was taken in an Orphanage before he was adopted by Umar Bongo, the former Gabonese president! For those of you who are too quick to conclude on others, think twice. Even the destitute you avoid today could be your bread winner tomorrow. Source: africanleadership.co.uk/blog/?p=4128

On behalf of the entire citizens of Yobe States, we whish once again formally congratulate you on your well deserved election as the president of the federal Republic of Nigeria and appreciate all the success you have so far recorded in addressing the menace insecurity that has bedeviled our zone for long. It's our belief that your election will mark the beginning of a new dawn for the economic and political development of our country in accordance with the yearnings and aspirations of the millions of Nigerians that massively voted for you. One key component to derive this development is the federal executive council, which according to the provisions of the 1999 constitution most be constitute to reflect the principles of the federal character and to promote national unityin a manner that there shall be no predomince of persons from few states or from few ethnic or sectional groups, Your Excellency sir, the ministerial nominee from Yobe State is a kanuri from zone A she came from the same tripe and zone with the governor of Yobe State. The national secretary of the All Progressive Congress (APC) is also a Kanuri from the same zone A of the state, the husband of the nominee is a serving senator, a former governor and a kanuri from the same zone A of the state. This offends the express provisions of 1999 constitution and suggest Impunity and exclusivity of the other ethnics groups and other zones can not be sustained by any reasonable justification, particularly on the grounds of competence and merit. Ironically, zone B and C are the zone that can produce men or women of proven record and integrity who could add a better value to the change agenda of your government. Zone B and C have contributed immensely to the success of the party and statistically, Potiskum local government was in the top five local government nationwide that contributed the highest votes to the election of your Excellency. We appeal to the listening ears of your Excellency and seek the redress of this imbalance and topsidedness. We assure you of our continued loyalty and support Source Barr.
