BlackBerry has just taken the wraps off its new Android-powered smartphone, the DTEK50. As you may already know, this is only the second Android device produced by the company. The first was the Priv, which launched in late 2015.

The DTEK50, or 'the world's most secure Android smartphone', sports a 5.2-inch 1920 x 1080 scratch-resistant display, a 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 617 processor, 3GB of RAM, 16GB of on-board storage, and microSD expansion up to 2TB. It also comes with a 13MP rear camera with phase detection auto focus, an f/2.0 aperture and support for 1080p video recording at 30fps, as well as an 8MP front camera with an f/2.2 aperture. While BlackBerry decided against USB Type-C connectivity, the DTEK50 does come with a non-removable 2610mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 2.0.

As for aesthetics, the handset is slightly reminiscent of Alcatel's Idol 4, though the BlackBerry device looks to have a more textured back plate.

THE CONVENIENCE KEY CAN BE PROGRAMMED TO LAUNCH ANY APP YOU'D LIKE

There's a physical Convenience Key on the right side of the handset that can be used to launch your favorite app or mute the device when on an active call. It's running Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box. Of course, the company has also included its DTEK security suite on the new device that will help you monitor your security rating and tell you how you can improve it.

No its the GPU. These games need a phone with at least Mali t700 GPU. The m3 and l8+ is Mali 400 which is not up to 700. The j8 and note 2 are both Mali 720 so they will play those games. The CPU determines how much the phone will lag.

so it's not even the RAM that determines it it would lag or not

Honestly speaking here, I have not used L8+ to know exactly how the screen is. But what I can tell you is that that of boom j8 is top notch.

the only tin that's making me hard about the L8+ is the battery life

I'm sorry to say this but L8+ is crap.

its not all about large battery and physical looks check hidden specs with cpu Z cpuX and Antutu benchmark u will see what i mean. it have just 3 multi touch (thats bad for gamers) other specs are just there nothing special for that price. Boom J8 will be better for u if u got the cash.

Tecno Boom J8 is the most expensive among the three and it's the most advanced specs wise. If you love battery phone go for L8+, it's almost the same price with M5 mini and yet better off

But in my opinion, i think the boom J8 is alright.
It's a music phone with a quite alright camera if you ask me. He'll enjoy his games on the 2gb ram and 3000mah battery is not so shabby plus the phone comes with a free headset!!!
