The swap fee for holding trade overnight with some prop firm can be so high... Dis guy hold a trade for just 27 hours and look at the swap fee... From $130 profit to just $30...

It's their spread not swap. By morning the spread will come down and the profits will increase again. That one entered a trade with a spread of 2pips for instance doesn't mean that when spreads increase on that pair the person is exempted.
You can see the spread on GBPAUD? 42.5 pips! This is actually a criminal way they intend to make traders lose money. There is no normal broker that would have this kind of ridiculous spread on weekends.

I suggest then that it should be made 0.5% DD since the aim is to eliminate risk... Trading is not for the faint hearted. It's about risk. 5% is absolutely fine.
Only someone with $10M account and above should be talking about such ridiculous DD drawdown.
Draw down appetite is directly proportional to gain. If someone has such a low DD rule and the account is 10k what profit is he going to make in a month that can match his time and effort?

everything should be moderate and balanced to give room for good traders to emerge. let's not make things more difficult than it should be.

the traditional 5% DD ain't bad at all.

2% drawdown is no long risk management. Even for a 10million dollar account, no one will force a professional trader into such corners.

Truth is there lots of tools in today's Forex business that one can use to calculate position sizing without knowing how to count pip.

what happened was not so much of stop widening but liquidity provider of your broker lagging behind in price and your broker using feed of their premium liquidity provider to execute your trade.. if you notice price eventually got to where your stop was.. if you compare your chart at that point with other brokers like darwinex, forex.com, pepperstone, and several others you will see that the swing of your broker was so different from others... your broker at the point of execution might not have access to use the liquidity provider of the premium price feeds used to execute your trade but can use it to their advantages... price feeds inconsistency is normal during such active period and especially worse with low liquid pairs like eurnzd

I know price feeds can vary . You will see that variance on the chart. For instance there was a time BTC spiked on ICmarket platform but didn't do so at Binance and other exchanges. However, that spike or difference in price reflected on the chart.

Agreed, Stop loss hunt is manipulation, widening of spread is manipulation. But by the time you understand your broker and the pair you are trading very well, you will always know how to avoid the manipulation. Ask you broker about their maximum spread on that particular pair, What you said here happened to me last year, I was holding a chfjpy trade with a profit breakeven, spread always widen so much on that pair during market close and reopening but i wasnt informed, the spread didnt respect my breakeven, it ended me with a loss instead and when the spread comes back to normal, price rallys to all take profit, I called it manipulation as well. Move Stoploss away to the maximum spread if you want to leave the trade overnight

My brother all this things you are saying is valid... But over 30 pips widening of spread on EURNZD? Hmm... That one weak me. This is just like having a 15pips spread on EURUSD or GPBUSD.

God Bless you . Once people's analysis goes wrong, they call it manipulation. Instead of Cutting loss and follow the manipulation. It's no manipulation, we can't always be right, the market is smarter than anyone.

There are manipulations in the market... If you think there is none then you are yet to be properly informed.
Just like whales can push a crypto asset to a desired direction, there are people who decides where the market will go. Brokers too have their own gimmicks. I shared a screen shot yesterday of how much stoploss was taken out on EURNZD when price was about 30 pips away from my SL.

There are manipulations in the market. Criminal over widening of spreads and broker induced slippage is manipulation. I experienced one yesterday.

I hope you know the last figure in a five decimal figures is a pipette, not a pip. The more proper way to count pips is from the fourth decimal figure. The pip movement is only 14 in this case.

If he is someone that is smart he would have investigated what the guy said about him not knowing how to count pips.

What's the quoted close price from account history for that trade

1.70225... it passed my SL. But my problem is how come. Price didn't go anywhere close to that price, neither was there a spread that wide.

One of the reasons i don't trust brokers with SL. This is FTMO demo ooo... My EURNZD sell hit SL
The red line is my stop loss and the gap between highest price and my SL is about 30 pips yet my trades were closed. I no understand. My leverage was not dropped, neither was the spread increased beyond 7pips.
