Akeem Shodehinde death came to many as a big surprise. The General or Biggie as many of his socialite friends call him in Lagos Island,Victoria Island and Ikoyi had gone through this sickness different times and he bounced back like a cat with nine lives.

Akeem shodehinde was a bouncer at social events in Lagos.Before starting his own outfit, he worked with the likes of Sola Olugbemiro popularly known as Solkem. Dont gate crash if you don’t want to get crashed.

Akeem confessed that he attempted suicide different times, when he was indebted to some individuals. He thanked Prince Segun Oniru and Dumo Lulu Briggs and others who came saved him from the financial mess.

Akeem Shodehinde shot into limelight when his hangout, Club Xtreme became the meeting point of most rich kids on the Island.The club was operated from Planet 44 owned by Kamal Boustani on Akin Adesola Street,Victoria Island. The club was shut down after Akeem became terribly sick.

Akeem Shodehinde bounced when he started Club Reloaded with Ahmed Uhubetine of 11:45 club and Joseph Yobo, a football star married to ex-beauty queen, Adaeze Igwe. Yobo was the major investor in the business and he reportedly put in about N100 million into the business. Gistmaster gathered that the club was officially opened on December 6, 2006 at Awolowo road,Ikoyi.

Akeem and Ahmed fell apart as business partners. Ahmed moved on but Yobo and Akeem changed the name of the club to Insomnia. It only took the two of them to work before Insomnia Club was shut down.

Akeem was married to a beautiful girl from Rivers state but it didnt’t last.Akeem said everything was wrong from the last.They had to separate within a short time.

Akeem Shodehinde unfilled dreams before his death include not waiting till his only daughter wedding day.The girl is still small and Akeem said he was leaving street life of gambling and slowing down on alcohol so that he won’t die by the time his daughter would be old enough to get married.

Akeem wanted to go to a bible school.

APC To Fani Kayode-We are concerned about your mental state
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has said contrary to the information being peddled by the Spokesman of the Jonathan Campaign Organization, Mr. Femi Fani-Kayode, the party does not wish him any ill health, even though it is seriously concerned about his mental state.

”No, we have never and will never wish anyone any ill health.

However, we are seriously concerned that Mr. Fani-Kayode may have unhinged, perhaps as a result of a relapse into an unhealthy lifestyle of substance abuse,” the party said in a statement issued in Dubai on Monday by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed.

”Our concern stems from the series of incoherent statements, outlandish claims and inconsistent behaviours exhibited by Mr. Fani-Kayode in recent times, which call into question his state of mental health.

”We wish Mr. Fani-Kayode well and call on him to tell Nigerians that he remains clean, despite the massive pressure of work, and that he will not do anything that will see him needing a prolonged reformation in a foreign land,” it said.

APC said it is only an unstable mind and someone who is teetering on the brink that will conjure up the kind of improbable scenarios that have been put out there in quick succession by Mr. Fani-Kayode, and still believe strongly that he is doing the right thing.

The party said the APC does not harbour the kind of disturbed personalities who abound in the PDP, and who will not hesitate to publicly wish fellow Nigerians ill or dead, as long as they believe such ill-will would endear them to their masters and guarantee their political survival.

Google has re-opened Linda Ikeji’s blog.The blog was shut down Wednesday following complainants over copyrights violations. In a post shortly the blog was restored, Linda said Mukhtar DanÍyan, popularly known as @AyeDee was her benefactor but they stopped talking last year.
@AyeDee led the campaign that caused Google to shut down the blog over plagiarism.

In her statement of defense published on her blog,Linda said her platform had also done several breaking news copied by other bloggers without her raising any eye brow.

Nigerian aviation minister, Mrs Stella Oduah said Daily Trust Newspaper lied against her in report alleging that she stopped some airlines from flying into Abuja and Kano.She also said it is wrong to brand her as anti-north.

A statement signed by her media aide, Joe Obi reads “Our attention has been drawn to publications in some sections of the media to the effect that Aviation Minister, Princess Stella Adaeze Oduah ordered that some foreign airlines, particularly Emirates, Etihad and Turkish airlines be stopped or prevented from operating into the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja and the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano”

There is no truth whatsoever to this publications as the minister had at no time even attempted to prevent the said airlines from operating into the said destinations. To the contrary, the minister has been an advocate of allowing all the international airports in the country to operate direct international flights.

Given the wrong impression created in the media on this issue and the sentiments it is currently generating, it has become necessary to state as follows:

Emirates Airline has never applied for any permit to operate into either Abuja or Kano international airports. Anyone, including the airline concerned with contrary documentation should please make such available to the general public

Etihad that was supposed to commence operations from Abuja in line with an old MOU of 2003 with the UAE has refused to do so but rather insisted on starting from Lagos, thereby necessitating an amendment of the MOU IN 2012 to accommodate their desire

Turkish Airline had in fact applied to operate into Abuja and Kano, an application which the Honourable Minister approved without any hesitation. In fact, IRS Airlines was nominated on the 1st of August 2012 to work with Turkish airline in this regard.

In view of the foregoing, we make haste to declare that we have no records anywhere indicating that the Aviation Minister either stopped any airline from operating into Abuja and Kano or forced any particular one to operate into the Enugu International Airport. To be sure, the Hon. Minister has been making strenuous efforts to convince KLM, in conjunction with the Kano state government, to continue to operate into Kano airport for which it had earlier stopped its operations.

Unfortunately, some commentators, relying entirely on the unfounded news reports, have begun to insinuate ethnic agenda over the purported directive to forced airlines to fly into Enugu rather than Abuja or/and Kano. Nothing can be further from the truth.

Perhaps, it is pertinent, given the sentiments the false publications has generated to state that the very first tangible projects embarked upon by the current Aviation Minister was the rehabilitation of the Kano and Kaduna Hajj Terminals. The terminals have since been completed, commissioned and put to use. The Sokoto Hajj terminal is currently under-going rehabilitation too.

Moreover, out of the 11 airports currently being reconstructed and remodelled simultaneously across the country, five are domiciled in the northern part of the country. The 11 airports include MMIA and the GAT Lagos, Port Hartcourt, Benin, Enugu, Owerri, Calabar, Abuja ,Kano, Kaduna, Yola and Jos airports. Therefore, it is clearly inappropriate to insinuate that the Aviation Minister is Anti-North.
