The first time I saw him face to face was at the church. I sat behind him. When he left to receive holy communion, as he was approaching back to his seat, I said to myself this man looks very familiar. I wondered where I knew him from. At a point it struck me that he looks like the men I see on NTA news at 9.
I still didn't know who he was until one time when there was a plane crash (in the early 2000s), he was meant to fly with the plane that crashed but didn't at the last minute.
On Sunday after the plane crash, the Rev Fr. was preaching about how God stopped him from entering the plane, that was when I got to know and pin a name to him after seeing him many times in the same church. He never missed evening mass then...
Great banker, Great man. I tell people always then that, if he was in a place like the USA, he will be in the league of Warren Buffet.
May our good God grant his soul a beautiful rest. |

Goke7: Not sure but I think they also introduced the ability to withdraw or do any transactions in any branch of a bank irrespective where you opened the account.
What a great innovator You are right. I had uncles then who trade in Onitsha but go to Lagos to buy their goods. They always complained of armed robbery on the road leading to Lagos but when Diamond bank introduced the "withdraw from any branch", they rushed and opened accounts with Diamond bank. During that time too, someone blessed me with NGN2K cheque (very big money then), na for diamond I cash am. Very fast and smooth. Left a very pleasant impression of the bank in me. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: “They’re Silent, Imagine I Did Any Of This” – Obama Chides Trump by pipnator00(m): 2:36am On Apr 07, 2025 |
Trump is really destroying the Democratic values American have always been known for. However they should have a feel of what it means to have a terrible government. Remember Obama gave us buhari. A man known to have toppled the Nigeria's first democratic government, who has no regards for the rule of law.
On another note.. Trump is really up to something with these tariffs. He has advisers and I'm sure they have given him briefs on the implications of his reckless tariffs but the man is moving head-on with the tariffs.
I suspects he is covertly/purposely crashing the market so that himself and his men will buy up American stocks at a bargain. If the FBI/CIA will be open, they should make known all offshore companies buying large volumes of American stocks at the moment. By the time Trumps presidency ends, his combined family wealth will be one of the fattest in the world. |

dermmy: The day FBI nabbed him he forgot to connect to the Tor network he had been using to anonymize his traffic. Actually what happened is that he was using his laptop at a public library, the FBI caused a scene (distraction) .. The moment he turned around to see what the scene was, FBI grabbed his laptop and told him he was under arrest. He was always connected to Tor. Even when he was arrested FBI wasn't 100% sure he is the person behind the silk road network which is the reason they wanted him arrested with his laptop open to gather more evidence. How they got to suspect him is that he used the same email address he once used in a public forum to run things in the silk road network. Dude made a lot of money then! |

Mathewrichard99: I just did as attached. I don't think that adverse possession law is applicable here cos it's legally bought or rather has tile of conveyance which makes it legal in the eyes of the law. Also, the buyer ain't a squatter as therein described in the adverse possession law......just check the attached.....I really feel it's not applicable here......though I know about the 99Years lease on lands agreement in Nigeria. Any land bought only last for 99Yrs whereby after, the real owner of the land can take repossession or renegotiation......I ain't a lawyer, so just a little that I know..... It is 100% applicable in this case. Remember the opposite wrote that the person making claim to the property erected pillars on the land. That's a proof of investment on the property while the op abandoned the property for many years. However the op needs a strong Lawyer to establish his ownership of the property or he will loose the property to the claimer. |

Love800: So if one does not develop his/her land, another person can claim it after some years? Yes, as long as the person can prove that he/she has taken care of the property in your absence. In this case, the pillar the claimer put in the land is the proof. However the decision of ownership has to be decided by the court. |
Properties › Re: Having Court Case On Inherited Land. by pipnator00(m): 8:42pm On Jan 16, 2025 |
Mathewrichard99: Before property lawyers comes in to give their professional advise. I don't think there's any law that states that a purchased landed property must be occupied by the buyer within a certain years. It's possible for the sellers of land to put a clause to the agreement when buying that the buyer must quickly commence construction at so so time or atimes, they would tell the seller to fence the land or erect short fence all over the land sold to him immediately. That's just within the agreement and not binding in the law court.
Incase you win the case which ofcourse I think you will win. Quickly commence farming by engaging some locals to be working as farmers on the land. Engage that Land cos eyes is already set on it.....Don't leave it idle..... There is such law. Do a quick search of "Law of Adverse possession" on Google or chatgpt |

Bookhub: I have being dating this girl for about 2 months now, though she has made clear to me from the beginning that she is in a serious relationship and she is cool dating both of us, as a guyman I didn't mind as long as she is given me my share but I recently discovered that actually has good qualities, she is industrious and intelligent and infact she spends more time talking to me than her boyfriend, meaning she is just dating the guy out of pity.
I asked her to be bold enough and quit the relationship that I have better future plans for her i am 32 while her boyfriend is 22, I told her I am willing to wife in 3 years time if she stays loyal but the boy of 22 is not even certain about their future together, she has been crying over it since yesterday.
Women are really complicated and tricky if you ask me, this girl! her boyfriend will see her off to the bustop after they are done with class In 1 hour time she will land In my house and stay till evening the boy will think she has gone home, one day she said she will go to the boys house i rebuked her and told her not to go out of jealousy omo she obeyed me and cooked up excuse and never went to the guys house. The BS you tolerate now will eventually be the norm in your dating life! Were you hated by all while growing up or what? Why would you allow such disrespect to yourself. Take a stand, its either she is dating you exclusively or she should F off! Young man stop short changing yourself! Your are a KING! |

SmartPolician: Oga Paul, charity begins at home. Expand your business to your region. Hospitality business is thriving in Imo State.
Why not create an artificial lake in Owerri and build a tourist centre in your home state. You invest your money elsewhere, a government comes and ruins everything. Artificial lake ke.. You forget there is Ota mmiri, Nworie river, another one beside old ogbo shishi and another behind Old IBC Radio station.. Also, there is Oguta lake but I wouldn't advise Oguta lake because its far off from Owerri city. However I think he has an investment in Owerri, an event Centre and some real estates. But then, the governor of Imo State is not investment friendly. Plus the land grabbing going on in Imo State by mostly government official is unimaginable. |

Sorry for bringing this up but another one just happened! Yesterday your women had placards with this, "stop killing us" written on it, protesting the incessant killing. To be honest, how SA men handle domestic issues isn't always the best. How we (Nigeria) handle such isn't the best either but it greatly lowers the risk of fatalities. In Nigeria, such issues would be handled by your family, kinsmen.. umunna if you are Igbo. Samantha125: So what? Just because you saw the news from SA four times this week, it doesn't mean women don't get killed by their men on a daily basis globally, including your country.
SA is so far the only African country speaking out against it and our media is also very transparent about it.
I will try my best with my sister.

Just saw the attached lindaikeji's blog now and so far this week, I have seen such news like 4 times, all coming out of SA. Not saying we (Nigerians) don't have our issues, we have ours but I responded based on what came to my mind the moment I read about your sister's situation. Like I wrote earlier, pls talk and continue to talk to your sister until she acts right.. Samantha125: Please, don't involve SA men into this... Because some Nigerian men are also not innocent in killing their women... GBV is a global problem and not just an SA problem.
Some men also get abused on a daily basis, but are forced to keep quiet because no one takes them seriously when they speak up... They get emasculated by the public.

Samantha125: The post is very true... Sometimes some of us ladies would be labelling men trash because we'd be in denial of the fact that we have a trashy taste in men.
I have this one sister who hasn't been lucky in relationships to a point that the family started looking down on her and regarded her as the black sheep of the family for being in multiple failed relationships... Because two of us are married to our high school boyfriends while one is married to her varsity boyfriend.
She's the only one with multiple failed relationships together with two kids from two different baby daddies... All her exes treated her like trash and her baby daddies don't even care about the kids... I once even confronted one of them for abandoning his own child, but the guy didn't seem to care... My sister was still willing to do anything to continue being with these guys until they finally ghosted her.
Now she's engaged to this wonderful man who was willing to overlook her flaws and adopt her children as his own, the guy's family also love her, but this sister of mine has all of a sudden started growing some wings and taking the guy's goodness for granted... Sometimes she'd be acting as if she's doing him a favour by being with him and I don't like it one bit, but there's nothing I can do.
She lied to the guy about her monthly salary and immediately they got engaged, she asked me to open a second savings account from another bank so that every month she could deposit a certain amount from her monthly salary into the account just so the guy can continue giving her that monthly allowance... If it happens that she wants something and the guy is short of cash, she'd then ask me to sent her a certain amount from that same account, so it can seem as if I'm the one who borrowed her the money because the account was registered in my personal details... I tried talking her out of it, but she wouldn't take a no for an answer.
When the guy asks her where she got the money, she'd lie by telling him that she borrowed it from me knowing very well that the guy would start feeling bad and looking for a way to repay me, but the truth is that, that money never gets to me... She'll spent it on herself... Now the guy recently bought a new car and my sister is already planning on manipulating him into giving her the car. I pray your sister acts right. Your men (SA men) prefer to kill their women over a matter that could be settled over a few drinks. Pls talk to her |

I think Nigeria should replicate such. Buy jets for every ministry and department of the federal govt including state govts, and when Naira finally hits NGN5000 to a dollar, our body go tell am! |
