The Lagos state police have arrested a 36-year-old man, Kennedy Michael for impregnating his 16-year-old daughter, persuaded her to have an abortion and for also molesting his neighbor’s 18-month-old baby girl.
According to the police, Michael was arrested after his neighbour Uche whose child was molested reported the case. She disclosed that: “Michael’s girlfriend, Ijeoma Ndukwe assisted in procuring abortion for his teenage daughter, Maria. Uche added that, when she discovered that something was wrong with Maria, she told her father who instructed that his lover should take her to the hospital.

A 42-year-old driver is currently fighting for his life in a private hospital in Asaba, Delta State, after having a face-off with a commercial s.x worker.

According to reports, a man identified as Gideon Njema, hanged himself in his house in Karanja village, Matuga Sub County, Kenya on Monday, July 4.
The 32-year-old man who used work as a waiter at the Rehema hotel in Kwale town, was reportedly found dangling from a wire on Tuesday, July 5.
According to reports, Njema had told someone whom he owed N7,ooo to come and collect his money around 3pm on monday, after he was served a letter from the police. He had been given a deadline to pay up or prepare to be arrested if he didn’t meet up on that day.

There was pandemonium at the Tundunwada area of Lugbe, a satellite town in the Federal Capital Territory when a transformer exploded and electrocuted six persons, including a pregnant woman who recently moved into her house in the area.
About four persons were also said to have been injured during the incident, including a six-year-old boy, Destiny Okolo, who suffered injuries on his face and left ear.
PUNCH Metro learnt that the transformer was on fire for about 10 minutes during which it sent devastating electric current to some residential apartments in the area.
Our correspondent, who visited the community on Tuesday, gathered that the incident happened around 9pm on Saturday.
Abuja Electricity Distribution Company officials were seen investigating the incident and pacifying the residents in the locality.
Findings indicate that the pregnant woman, whose name could not be immediately ascertained, wanted to switch off her fan when she was electrocuted. Her son was said to have raised the alarm which alerted her neighbours to her death.
