Gaming / World Of Warcraft Mechanisms Will Be Used In The New Feature. by pkpkgsell: 8:43am On Jun 09, 2013 |
Nethaera - A Raid For All Seasons: Flexible Raid Preview The mere fact that the flexible raid will unlock in wings means it won't be necessary. By the time the entire raid is unlocked, guilds that need the gear to progress in the new raid (guilds that push progression) will already have better gear options, and at most will be running flexible raids to fill one or two slots that haven't gotten lucky yet with a piece of gear that's 'good enough' until the normal mode drop happens. And let me be clear - not only don't I have a problem with that being possible, I think it's good for everyone. Letting players get something is in fact better than forcing them to raid with a trinket from normal MSV for months because they just can't get lucky. If a wow gold player who raids currently runs LFR because he's stuck with a bad or outdated trinket, or weapon,World of Warcraft gold, I'm fine with that. If a current raider runs LFR because she wants to get her tank set fleshed out and hasn't gotten all the pieces from the normal raid yet because she's a DPS and the tanks still need pieces, that's good. Forcing players to pick one or the other takes a means for them to improve out of their hands, gives them less chances to customize themselves they way they want to, and creates stratification among players that isn't necessary or useful. And it's not fun. |
Gaming / Diablo 3 New Director Mosqueira Introduce What He Thought by pkpkgsell: 8:28am On Jun 09, 2013 |
Diablo 3 new director Mosqueira introduce what he thought John Mosqueira has been hired by Blizzard Entertainment as the new game director for "Diablo 3", and his passionate past with the game has fans excited about its future.Mosqueira took to the game's website to write an letter introducing himself, talking about his experience with the original "Diablo" way back in 1996 and describing what he thought was so appealing about the game all those years ago. "While the game's dark, gothic setting hooked me, it was the intense, fast-paced action gameplay and the thrill of finding awesome loot that kept me coming back for years after," Mosqueira said. This guy actually gets it. We're thrilled that this game director actually has feelings shared by tens of thousands of disillusioned "Diablo" fans, who even created and signed a petition expressing that very sentiment. That petition was an expression of passion stemming from years of love and investment from a loyal fanbase -- passion that many feel Blizzard largely ignored. So what does this new hire mean for "Diablo 3" overall? This line from Mosqueira's letter seems to suggest that "Diablo 3" will continue to get a healthy amount of attention from Blizzard: "We don't just ship a game and leave it at that; we make sure that it grows and evolves after launch. In the year since Diablo III launched, we've made good strides, but there are still things we can improve and new surprises in store for everyone." That's great news. It sounds like "Diablo 3" will get regular content updates and refreshes in the form of patches, despite Blizzard's focus on many other projects, including the recently delayed project codenamed "Titan." But what changes could come in these patches? Mosqueira delves into one area that could be addressed: economics. For cheap Diablo III gold, you can Click here |
