Right now Nigeria is going through many changes as the light of the Gospel is dispelling the darkness of the Koran and Islam. However, this has also provoked the wrath of certain Muslims, who are determined to stop its spread.

The celebration of Christ’s resurrection for Christians in Nigeria’s southern Kaduna province was interrupted when Muslim terrorists drove up and began randomly shooting, killing and wounding some of the celebrants:

Just as Nigerians were beginning to heave a sigh of relief over the Southern Kaduna crisis, gunmen have reportedly attacked Asso community in Jema’a local government area of the state.

At the time of this report, the details of the attack were not clear, but a statement by Samuel Aruwan, the spokesperson to Nasir El-Rufai, said the governor condemned the act.

NAIJ.com reports that over 200 people have died in the attacks between Fulani herdsmen and natives of Southern Kaduna since the crisis started.

Premium Times reports the governor as saying: “The victims and their families, while affirming that security operations are being ramped to rid the forest areas of the bandits.”

The attack is coming at a time Governor El-Rufai launched an operation to end the attacks in the area.

The governor said in the statement: “The forthcoming Operation Harbin Kunama II is a necessary step towards ending the violence in parts of southern Kaduna.

“The governor spoke while condemning the weekend attack on Asso community in Gwong Chiefdom of Jema’a local government area of the state.”

The governor extended his condolence to the victims and their families, while affirming that security operations are being ramped to rid the forest areas of the bandits.

He charged security agencies to redouble their efforts in fishing out those behind the killings, and to act promptly on carefully vetted intelligence.

The statement said that agencies responsible for emergency services have been directed to offer relief.

Seven Muslim terrorists were ambushed and killed as they were about to plan on attacking and killing more Christians. One of the targets was a Christian monastery, which is not surprising because Islam hates the Catholic and Orthodox churches. As we read in one report:

Egyptian security forces killed seven jihadists on Monday who were planning to attack more Christians and government targets.

The ISIS militants were killed after engaging in a shootout with security forces. According to the Egyptian government, among the machine guns and ammunition were plans for attacking a monastery, Christians in Sohag and Assuit provinces, as well as police officers, government buildings, and a courthouse.

The raid came one day after 44 people, mostly Christian worshippers, were killed in twin bomb blasts during Palm Sunday services in Tanta and Alexandria, Egypt, and hours after Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi issued a three-month state of emergency.

El-Sisi commended the raid by the country’s security forces and said the jihadist were attempting to divide the country, The Daily Mail reports.

Christians in Egypt are coming under more severe persecution than ever as Muslim groups are promising to wipe them out.

In a recent story, a Christian woman was walking down the street when a “mentally ill” Muslim man approached her and then slashed her throat in broad daylight. The woman survived, but she was badly injured. Afterwards, the man was arrested but they said they did ‘not understand’ why he attacked her:


The Egyptian security forces managed to arrest a mentally disabled man who stopped a Christian woman in the street and tried to slaughter her.

A security source said that a Coptic citizen named Mary Jamil Massad was surprised while walking in Abdel Moneim Riad Street area when a person under duress stopped her and tried to slaughter her with a knife.

He added that parents and passerby were able to save her.

It was found that the accused Mamdouh Ramadan Taha, aged 36 years and lives in the same area, and suffering from mental illness. He was asked why he was willing to do the crime and it was not understood why.

The prosecution was informed and the victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Major Christian leader, Metropolit Seraphim of Piraeus, has just made a declaration to the president of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, that Muhammad is a false prophet, that Allah is a false god, and that Erdogan must accept Christ. This story is being published by several Greek publication, such as the Athenian newspaper, Neos Kosmos, and the Orthodox publication, Pravoslavie.

Greek Orthodox Bishop, Metropolit Seraphim of Piraeus has caused controversy by urging Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to convert to Orthodoxy with Russian President Vladimir Putin as his godfather. And no, it’s not a joke.

In a 37-page letter to Erdogan written in Greek, Metropolit Seraphim asks the Turkish leader to denounce his Islamic faith and be baptised in the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople.

“If you want to save yourself and your family you should convert to Greek Orthodox Church, the only real faith,” Seraphim writes, reports Keep Talking Greece.

“We propose and we advise you to come to the arms of the Greek Orthodox Church before the end of your life on earth.

“Otherwise, you will unfortunately find yourself, your family and your people in the same place where Allah, Muhammad and his followers are, ie. in the place of suffering, eternal and unending hell.”

He calls on Erdogan to “repent, cry, be humble and believe in Christ,” and claims that “the Holy Trinity of God will open the arms for you”.

If Erdogan is to heed the Metropolit’s advice, he says that the Orthodox faithful on earth and in heaven will rejoice and “the angels in heaven after your enter the true Church!”

In the extensive letter, the Bishop also analyses Greece’s 400 years under Ottoman rule, the Treaty of Lausanne, Turkey’s recent history and the country’s efforts to join the European Union.

Despite concluding his letter with “honour, respect and honest brother love”, it contains a number of remarks in which he insults the Koran, the Prophet Muhammad, and describes Islam as a sect rather than a religion.
