The Federal Government has withdrawn the treason charge it entered against minors who participated in the recent #EndBadGovernance protest that was held across the country.
The government officially took over the case file on Tuesday through the office of the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Prince Lateef Fagbemi, SAN, and notified the Federal High Court in Abuja of its decision to discontinue the case against the protesters.
The application for discontinuance, which was moved by the Director of Public Prosecution of the Federation, DPPF, Mr. Mohammed Abubakar, was anchored on provisions of sections 174(1), (b) and (c) of the 1999 Constitution, as amended, and 108 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act, ACJA, 2015.

Olamila: Stop breeding dangerous dog breed. Tell me how you will explain this situation now for this T.Pain regime. I won’t forget to salute 🫡 my 400 spartan
GanagiBitrus: The owner should be arrested & handed over to the police, while the dogs should be arrested & handed over to the nearest Calabar man.
The dogs should be put down! Rottweilers are a deadly breed... besides was it not this breed of dog that MC Oluomo and Co. used to harass voters in Lagos during the 2023 Presidential/Gubernatorial elections?
I find it rather frustrating that after clicking open news items on Nairaland's frontpage, the site does not automatically return to the exact news item clicked but takes one to top of the frontpage for one to manually scroll down to the position one was. This is unlike what obtains in Punch online news or Daily trust.
It's frustrating I tell you. Nairaland management should do something about this.
Many of those foreigners are here illegally, they should be handed over to immigration for necessary action...after they have served prison terms of course...

Glimpsetv: A video showing a large number of Africans crossing the Sahara Desert on foot has surfaced online, getting a lot of people talking.
In search of greener pastures and a better life, these people have chosen to walk across the desert, undeterred by the risks. Could this be a result of poor leadership across Africa?
Please watch the video and let us know your thoughts in the comments.
bixton: How these people come up with such ideas I don't even understand!!!!
Every country should have their own pattern for driver license and number plates while that which is for ECOWAS because of regional trade they should also have a different pattern for such so that those who are into regional trade and business with their vehicles can opt for that a proper identification process and data base be kept to maintain security.
Trying to make all ECOWAS states have same drivers license and vehicle number plates will cause a serious insecurity problem in and for Nigeria since we already have one that is yet to be tackled given the prone nature of our boarders and attitude of all those who are expected to mount the boarders.
No one is bitter and neither am I a sycophant. Sincerely reach out to your folks wherever they are in the country and find out how they are presently faring in this economy, maybe because you see crumbs while beating supporters drum your folks might be enduring the calamity in silence.. it shouldn't be all about you and your immediate family...

Are you ok? Whether new or old jet, it's insensitive to expend such huge funds on a jet when the economy is alarmingly sinking and the people you are ruling are suffering and dying. It should not be a priority....
