Fitness experts spent the greater part of Thursday working on the pair of Victor Moses and Emmanuel Emenike in a surely desperate bid to get the strikers ready for the Sunday final match against Burkina Faso. But even as he still limps, Moses has assured fans of the Nigerian team that he hopes to be fit enough for the most important game of the 2013 Africa Nations Cup. After numerous inquiries made by journalists on their fitness in Johannesburg on arrival, the Chelsea attacker who scored Nigeria’s two goals against Ethiopia used his Twitter platform to answer the questions in one statement. He tweeted, “Lot of people asking about my injury. I’m having treatment and hopefully should be fine for the final.” Emenike was not readily available to speak on his own state but team officials have said that the injury turned out far less than imagined during the game. Both players have combined to give Nigeria six goals in five matches. Coach Stephen Keshi added voice to Moses, statement by also by saying that there should be no need for panic over the two players. “The medical team here is working round the clock to ensure that they will be ready for the final on Sunday. They will advise us on what to do at the appropriate time,” he said. On Thursday, the Super Eagles team doctors compelled Keshi to exclude the two players from the training programme until they give the approval for their return to full action. Both players were substituted in the Wednesday’s 4-1 win over Mali after sustaining injuries. After the semi-final victory over the Aiglons of Mali in Durban, the Eagles have quickly put the victory behind them as the team arrived in Johannesburg, South Africa on Thursday afternoon to begin preparations for the final match at the Soccer City in Soweto. The team arrived Johannesburg at about 1.45pm local time aboard a South Africa Airways plane. They moved immediately to their base at Garden Court Milpark from the airport and left the hotel for training soon after their lunch. They are expected to train twice on Friday and Saturday at the same venue. The Sunday match has been moved back by 30 minutes from the original time at the request of the organisers which means that if it is effected it will now start at 7.20pm Nigerian time. |
Hmm...it is well.....how much will it cost for the treatment tomorrow ? |
It is well with Emmanuel in Jesus' name. Amen. Let us all rally round to help him... Scripture to encourage us to help Emmanuel below: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. (Matthew 25:35-40 KJV) |
AVOID TRIGGERS Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart. 2 Timothy 2:22 A man was burnt to death by the very fire he triggered. His son reported that his father wanted to set a little controlled fire that will warm him but the fire went out of control because all his surroundings were filled with dry leaves. So when the wind blew the fire spread and he was eventually caught in it. Similar things are the story of most of the people that fell into sexual sin that I have counseled, they just wanted a little petting, a modest touch, holding hands, a nice compliment etc. nothing extreme but they ended up been violated. Our world is filled with dry leaves, avoid whatsoever that will set it on fire even when you intend setting little fire because it will extent to an inferno. One danger about sex is that once you have it for the first time, you may find it hard to resist the temptation of having it again and again. God made sex strictly for married couples and by that they should depend on each other for satisfaction. When you have illicit sex with someone you are not legally tied to, you’ve made yourself sexually depended on that person even if you don’t want it again. When you have illicit sex, you’ll surely keep having it till it ruins your life and the more you have it the less likely are you able to resist it even when you don’t want to have it or with whom you don’t want to have it with. Our text says we have to flee (run, fly, escape) from youthful lust or triggers. Don’t start what you don’t want to continue, avoid those ‘is not a sin’ holding of hands, hugging, pegging etc that will eventually lead to sin. The human biochemistry works like this, the more you hug, the more you want hug, the more you kiss, the more you’ll want it etc and thereby leading to fornication. To serve God and to keep your self pure, avoid those little triggers that might set you on an uncontrollable fire that will destroy your life and destiny and if you’ve found yourself under this kind of bondage you have to give your life to Christ and then send me a message so that I can join you in prayers and advice you as well. God bless you Pastor Promise Ikpe |
@OP As I was thinking about ur post this morning, this verse dropped in my spirit for you- When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. (Isaiah 43:2 KJV) It is well with u in Jesus name. Amen |
@Mr Justwise...Thanks |
@Mr justwise My sister has established presence in Uk. Having just finished her foundation program on a child visa (she turned 18 this year) which is expiring next month. In terms of the bank statement to present to the HO, she is presenting her dad's account. Someone told me that the BS ought to be hers. Is that true? |
The Problem with Nigeria When Chinua Achebe wrote his 1984 publication, 'The Trouble With Nigeria, his intention perhaps was to challenge the resignation of Nigerians and inspire his countrymen toward a sense responsibility, responsiveness and positive reaction. Achebe had stated most of his arguments on his first page: ‘The trouble with Nigeria is simply and squarely a failure of leadership. There is nothing basically wrong with the Nigerian character. There is nothing wrong with the Nigerian land or climate or water or air or anything else. The Nigerian problem is the unwillingness or inability of its leaders to rise to the responsibility, to the challenge of personal example which are the hallmarks of true leadership.’ Although the book is only sixty-eight pages long, it provides a powerful analysis of why Nigeria has failed as a country. The chapter titles spell out the problems that Achebe identifies – Tribalism, False Image, Leadership, the Nigerian Style, Social Injustice and the Cult of Mediocrity, Indiscipline, Corruption among others. I do not intend to re-write Professor Emeritus Achebe's superior thesis - I merely believe that if thirty long years has passed since he put his thoughts together and the same problems still exist, then our 'trouble' has become an even more serious 'palaver' and something drastic needs to be done. Nigeria is disintegrating before our very eyes! Achebe believed that overused words like 'unity' and 'faith' and 'patriotism' should be expunged from our national lexicon. What good they have done all these years! He suggested that they be replaced with stronger ideals, such as 'justice' and 'honesty' and 'truth.' He even pondered if it was possible that as a nation we chose to extol easy virtues which are amenable to the manipulation of hypocrites, rather than difficult ones which would have imposed the strain of seriousness upon us. Thirty years after, nothing has changed! True patriotism cannot be demanded, or forced upon a people. Patriotism stems out of a contract between a state and it's subjects, by which the state promises to uphold and maintain the provision of certain needs, requirements and benefits in trust for the people, for which the people in return must be willing to offer unalloyed obedience and support. Patriotism cannot stand any test in any part of Nigeria today, where governments have hardly delivered much to the advantage of the people, where corruption is calculated in triplicates of millions, and where serving First Ladies, unashamedly still draw salaries and allowances! Sans a few extraordinary examples, which have refused to sail with the buccaneers and cut throats, the Nigerian state is in free spin; the ship has hit an eddy and the captain is dead drunk! Actually, it seems we have all been drunk all these years! The year is 2012, and there is still enough time for the hangover to wear off. Wake up, Nigeria. It's about time we did the right thing! It is time for us to revisit our constitution. Was it really in Nigeria's best interest to permit the military to draft Nigeria's constitution? What can the military understand about the ideals and ethics of democratic existence? What would be the best constitution for a country as diversely demarcated and structurally challenged as present day Nigeria, where ideals like unity, faith and patriotism have failed? How can we create a People's Constitution? All the above, viable posers that must be challenged. My thoughts: The best way to produce a people’s constitution is through a constitutional conference of delegates that prepares a draft constitution for a referendum. However, one would query the credibility of the current crop of legislators in embarking on such an altruistic mission that would require an extreme measure of good intention, selflessness, objectivity and nationalism. When former President Obasanjo recently referred to the National Assembly membership as 'a bunch of thieves' it didn't take long for him to be proven absolutely correct when more than a few scandals began to pop into the open - Nigerians will never look at a traditional cap sat upon the babanriga the same way again! Then again, lessons learned - there is everything in a name built upon conspiracy! Meanwhile, Obasanjo himself doesn't quite smell of roses - his personal albatross is a trail of unsolved mystery stretching from the Halliburton conundrum to Third term schematics to his daughter's secret oil businesses. In fact, many believe that the reason why Nigeria is in such a mess today points back in one person's direction. There is something about the Owu man. The Owu's of the Egba kingdom in South-western Nigeria are a unique clan. To illustrate the fierceness of the character of the Owu man or woman, historian Robert Sydney Smith in his "History of the Yoruba's"quotes a proverb: "A child is born at Owu and you ask whether male or female; which will be a proper child?" (A bi omo l'Owu, o ni ako ni tabi abo ni, ewo ni yio s'omo nibe?) Did the man hate Nigerians so much for refusing to approve his third term agenda that he unleashes a double blitzkrieg on us? First in the form of an invalid who puts the nation into a still-born, comatose condition, followed by an utter dimwit who has set us into reverse? The man himself prescribes the solution. In an interview he granted the Guardian of London recently, the Balogun of Owu said: "In other countries corruption has not been a way of life. When you are found, you are dealt with. And that’s what we need. Fighting corruption is not a one-night affair. Of course, there are deep-rooted interests, and if you are going to deal with it, you have to deal with it ruthlessly and consistently." You wonder if he would like to be a volunteer? To cleanse Nigeria of its evil past we must embark on a regime that is seen to uphold the principles of crime and punishment, to deal with corruption and corrupt people in finality, and be seen to practice what is preached. Currently we have too many criminals in positions of power. We have had federal representatives who have stood for election while serving prison terms. Convicted criminals have been governor's past. We have even ex-convicts strolling along the corridors of state houses, brandishing billion dollar contracts. The few ones who have been caught by the oversight authorities were mainly the unlucky ones - it seems the watchdog organisations the EFCC, and ICPC have suddenly become toothless. Without wishing to inflict further punishment much has been said about the lack of moral standing in society, about the crudeness and total lack of civility, about the absence of mannered, civilised behaviour within our communities, and more disturbing, about the emergence of a new breed (tribe) of inhumans - who rejoice in the predicaments of their own kith and kin. The recent Dana plane crash brought out the beast in the hordes of people who gathered around the scene. They were not at the crash site to help the victims or assist in rescue operations, nay! They came to ravage, to loot, to search through the pockets of the dead, to see what could be salvaged in greedy pursuit. This new breed of inhuman is mean, dumb, daft and illiterate. You must be dumb, daft and an utter dodo if you would still revel in the act of scooping up fuel from a fallen petrol tanker, or burst oil pipeline after hundreds have met untimely deaths in such instances. And it is a misconception to argue that these things are caused by hunger and poverty - it is caused by greed. Q. E. D! This new breed involve in kidnapping as a form of business; freedom fighters they are definitely not - go ask high Chief Government Ekpumopolo aka 'Tompolo.' The former boss of MEND, currently sits on a N15 Billion waterways security contract for policing of Nigeria’s maritime domain and ensure compliance with international maritime conventions on vessels and ships voyaging the country’s waters, on behalf of the Nigerian government. His father named him well! And, worst of all, this new breed of Nigerian has mastered the extreme suasion strategy of suicidal bombing. Suicide had never been a prominent Nigerian trait, until recently. Now our trailblazers of this Asian art of extreme tactical warfare can even teach the kamikaze ninja a trick or two. If nothing is done to correct all these abnormalities, Nigeria is certainly doomed. Is it the curse of the military? Is it a result of the bane we have to suffer for the disastrous PDP years? How do we overhaul this morass? What shall we bequeath our children, and their children. The first strategy would be to undo the wrongs and embark on a clean up. The first task of that process would be to create a new People's constitution. For that to happen we need credible leadership. Good governance is only possible when you have viable candidates to lead the vanguard. Despite the national shenanigans, ineptitude and tomfoolery, I am still pleased today to be able to say that a few of our political representatives have been extremely impressive so far and deserve commendation for the developmental strides they have made in their regions and states. Lagos Governor Babatunde Fashola has shown superior capability and understanding of what true leadership requires. The Lagos State of today has become a model for all of Nigeria to emulate. Adams Oshiomole of Edo State's recent landslide against the opposition PDP, is a testimony to performance. The days of Anenih oppression are definitely over. I predict the same scenario is likely to repeat in Ondo State, where Governor Mimiko has redefined the meaning of the phrase, 'to serve.' I equally reserve kudos for quite a few others who have maintained their stance for good governance over the years, without cowing to intimidation or to the carrot of persuasion. A person like Tunde Bakare should be commended for sticking out his neck on our behalves, ever so often, especially in an environment when there are quite a few Farouk Lawan's surrounding us. This may be our last opportunity to build a new Nigeria. Doomsday theories and American analysts have already proffered a death date, and going by the timeline, things have been pretty accurately headed toward that destination, so far. So as a final thought - music, chants and songs have been known to inspire movements since the developments of institutions and nations and this is why they create anthems based on themes that unite people of the same ideals together. Have you ever attempted to analyse the current Nigerian anthem? You will find out that it is another vestige of our unheralded military past. Perhaps another reason why we have gotten it wrong. It begins: "Arise o compatriots, Nigeria's call obey..." A friend of mine always had issues with the militaristic command process of those introductory lines. He would say, "You and who...? Are we fighting a war...? Order!!!" In hindsight, perhaps we were, but never quite realised it! We are still fighting that war, years after - them versus the rest of us. Only difference is, the military man has dropped his camouflage...he's donned an agbada, since! Don't search his cap, oh! Some people have even suggested that we should revert to the old National anthem whose words had more meaning to the Nigerian people and concept of a nation of diversified challenges than this current militarist syncopation. If I may remind you, and for those born after 1978, when miliary fiat ordered the change, here are the words of that glorious first Nigerian national anthem, written by British expatriate, Lillian Jean Williams. Was that fact alone good enough reason for a change in the first place? Nah! Methinks not. There was another more sinister hidden agenda, as we've since found out. Nigeria we hail thee Our own dear native land Though tribe and tongue may differ In brotherhood we stand Nigerians all are bound to serve Our sovereign motherland Our flag shall be a symbol That truth and justice reign In peace or battle honoured And this we count as gain To hand onto our children A banner without stain O God of all creation Grant this our one request Help us to build a nation Where no man is oppressed And so with peace and plenty Nigeria may be blessed. Can you see as those words effortlessly reveal a growth plan with a formula to success and achievement, reflecting all our hopes and aspirations at independence as well as our national need for dignity. Did you notice how the words 'truth' and 'justice' are employed in the anthem, without any ambiguity whatever? It cries out in the second stanza that we 'hand our children a banner without stain.' The final verse tells how our nation longs for 'peace' and that peace can only bring stability and growth. It gloriously ends by asking that God blesses Nigeria. I guess that's all we have left to do now. Our destiny is in our hands. God guide Nigeria! By Femi Sowoolu |
by R. Larry Moyer John 4 reveals that three people are involved in evangelism…the non-believer, the believer, and God. Let’s look at these roles. The Role of the Non-Believer (Your friends, neighbors, relatives, coworkers—the ones with whom we seek to share the gospel.) The Scriptures describe them this way: Dead – Ephesians 2:1-2 – literally a walking corpse And you He made alive, who were dead in your trespasses and sins, in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience. Blinded – 2 Corinthians 4:3-4 – veiled But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them. Spiritually foolish – 1 Corinthians 2:14 – unable to discern the spiritual But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. Lost – Mark 6:34 – without a shepherd And Jesus, when He came out, saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion for them, because they were like sheep not having a shepherd. Deceived and serving the world – Titus 3:3 For we ourselves were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another. Remember two things: 1) this is how you once were before someone shared the gospel with you, 2) seeing your friends and relatives this way will help you to have compassion on them…not wanting them to stay in this condition. The Role of God (He is the One who goes before you, with you, and after you in evangelism.) The Scriptures describe Him this way: Draws us to Himself – John 6:44 “No one can come to Me, unless the Father who sent Me draws him.” Giver of new life – 1 Corinthians 3:6 I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase. Sender of disciples – Matthew 28:18-19 “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all the nations.” Desires all to be saved – 1 Timothy 2:3-4 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God, our Savior who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. Diligent to convict – John 16:8 "And when He comes, He will convict the world of sin and of righteousness and of judgment." Evangelism works because God is intimately involved convicting, pursuing, sending, drawing, and giving. He is the One who has the compassion and is moved to action on behalf of His creation. The Role of the Believer (God has given us the privilege of partnering with Him in His eternal work.) The Scriptures describe you this way: Saints – Colossians 1:2 – We are saints – set apart for His specific work To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ who are in Colosse: Servants – Acts 16:17 – sent by God to proclaim the good news This girl followed Paul and us, and cried out, saying, “These men are the servants of the Most High God, who proclaim to us the way of salvation.” Planter – 1 Corinthians 3:5 – you are called to plant the seed Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers through whom you believed, as the Lord gave to each one? Waterer – 1 Corinthians 3:6 – you are to water the seed I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase. Laborer – Luke 10:2 – you are to labor in His field Then He said to them, “The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore, pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.” Witness – Acts 1:8 – you are to tell your story – your eyewitness account “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Discerning – Colossians 4: 5 – using wisdom to take advantage of the opportunities to share Christ Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time. Dependent – John 6:44 – we bring Christ to the lost – He brings the lost to Christ “No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him…” Remember: We bring Christ to the lost He brings the lost to Christ Can you think of anything more exciting than being a partner with Jesus Christ in populating heaven? He wants to use you. The question is, “Are you willing to be used?” He’s ready if you are |
Obama freezes some accounts belonging to Nigeria’s embassy because of corruption in President Jonathan’s administration Posted on 16 June 2012. 8 Nigeria and the United States of America government might be heading for a diplomatic row over the decision of the latter to freeze some of the accounts of the country’s embassy in Washington, DC. Bank of America, M&T Bank and Wells Fargo received directive from the US government to close the accounts of the Nigerian embassy in Washington and its consulate in New York on suspicion of money laundering after traffic on the various accounts raised a red flag. The decision is sequel to intelligence report generated by a panel comprising representatives of the US Department of Justice, the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) and the Department of Treasury, unknown to Nigerian embassy officials, to monitor wires and traffic in all the accounts operated by the embassy. A credible online website http://www.huhuonline.com/ had reported yesterday that the US on Wednesday vowed to ignore a request by the federal government urging Bank of America and Wells Fargo to unfreeze Nigerian embassy’s bank accounts in Washington, DC, and New York. The move, according to sources, is setting the stage for a potential showdown between the two countries with Nigeria also threatening to reciprocate by freezing the US embassy’s accounts in the country. The online media stated that about $3.6 million dollars was said to have entered and left the accounts in under a month, the latest transaction being the withdrawal of $50,000 in hard cash by a top embassy staff. In rejecting the federal government’s request, a source in the State Department was quoted as saying, “The Nigerian embassy was unable to respond to requests for clarification about payments and transactions into the account and there are reasonable grounds to believe that the accounts are being used as channels for money laundering and other financial crimes.’’ The source, who said the move was not targeted at the country’s embassy alone, told the online news blog that the embassies of two other unnamed African countries were affected by the freeze. Also, an unnamed federal government official in the foreign affairs ministry was quoted to have stated, “We must not accept the illegal decision to shut down legitimate embassy accounts simply because we are in America.” A source at the Nigerian foreign affairs ministry told Huhuonline.com was asked whether Nigeria will go the extra mile to institute retaliatory action which could be interpreted as a declaration of war, and he retorted: “I don’t know if it’s an act of war, but it’s outside all norms of international behaviour…we’ll see what happens when push comes to shove.” Since the freezing of the bank accounts, the Nigerian embassy has been grounded as it can no longer conduct regular embassy business, such as paying bills and the salaries of diplomats. As part of efforts to resolve the issue, the auditor-general of the federation and a team of auditors left for the US to begin auditing the accounts of the embassy. Efforts by embassy officials to open new bank accounts with other American banks have so far been politely turned down, prompting consideration of reciprocal measures such as closing the bank accounts of the U.S embassy in Nigeria. MY Easter Testimony..... As i was travelling from Halifax down to London on the motorway/highway yesterday (thursday evening) , while on the fast lane my brakes failed.....hmmmmmmmmm.......the first thing that came out of my mouth was my father's name JESUS......and MIRACULOUSLY I was able to navigate from the fast lane to the hard shoulder and I was able to park..... And after a while i started the car and everything went back to normal and I drove safely down to London.....Although I was very paranoid till I got to London......If not for God 's divine intervention.....Somebody praise thy Lord for me.......He SAVES.........Happy Easter !!! |
Should loyalty be a 1way or 2way thing between two persons for it to work? |
THE LIFE OF WHITNEY HOUSTON: GOD’S MESSAGE TO THE CHURCH Like everyone who is between the age of 45-55 and who grew up listening to Whitney Houston and Michael Jackson songs , played up to 5 times a day on Radio and TV, I was deeply saddened at the news of the death of the Super star . A couple of hours later the spirit started burdening me to write this article. The reason , I believe is that this is one too many and it is time to warn the church on what has been happening. There are two broad lessons that can be learnt from her death and I will like us to look at one of them in this article below. The other is a lesson for Church leaders and people elevated and I will write that in Intercessors for ministers of God group http://www./111519868946122 For this Forum, the church Of Christ,the one and only lesson I feel God wants us to learn is that the marriage between the world and the Church has been too costly to the church: the church has lost many bright destinies to the devil. The Church is the place God places his excellence and gifts to humanity, God never reckons with the world. That is why the devil comes in to the church to steal and kill. Whitney marks a long list of backslidden Christians that the world stole from the church on the same premise he tempted Jesus on [ a temptation .which our Lord did not fall for ]. The temptation is “ If you bow to me I will give you the kingdoms of the world and its glories”. Michael Jackson was raised in the church , he fell for this temptation, Whitney Houston was raised in the church and Started her musical career in church, she fell for the same temptation, Elvis Presley’s first two albums were Christian albums, he did an interview saying he was a Christian artist at the beginning of His career , there are many more like Jonny Cash,etc till date and the same trend has continued with Justin Beiber , Beyonce, Milly Cyrus and others who were all raised in the church , stepping out into the world in search of stardom . Some of these people were told by their producers like Jonny Cash was told “Go home and sing your gospel or come back with a song I can sell “.They bowed on the altar of money, power and fame, they failed the test Jesus Christ passed. The devil never does anything new. The reason for the above is that Satan and the world does not have original they steal from the church. I believe that the first three all time super star mentioned first, Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley as well as Whitney Houston were gifted by God in an unusual measure to bring revival to the church through music. They could have used their music to bring people who repent in the world back to God .A mighty revival which was God’s purpose and plan was aborted by the devil who steals and kills, yet their mentors and the church looked on as he carried out his ministry with freedom in the church. They were passive as the devil tempted their wards and destroyed their purpose and used them for his own idea, When he finished with them he destroyed them. The church may even had been doing testimonies bout this marriage with the world. God says my people perish for lack of knowledge. At the peak of Michael’s Career when he became fully possessed he dabbled into the occult and realm of darkness with the release of Thriller. At Whitney’s peak she was the goddess of adultery and licentiousness on MTV at Elvis Presley’s peak he bowed too, he represented spirits of lawlessness and anarchy .In fact people will go out of his concerts and destroy and kill at liberty under demonic Influence. An article in Time magazine Some decades ago, Reports while talking of teenage pregnancies, teenage delinquency etc That some of their actions contributed to a change in society . Time, “Social workers are almost unanimous in citing the influence of the popular media--television, rock music, soul music videos, and movies--in propelling the trend toward precocious sexuality. One survey shows that in the course of a year, the average viewer sees more than 9,000 scenes of suggested sexual intercourse or innuendo on prime-time.” But Time continues to say, “For all their early experimentation with sex, their immersion in heavy breathing rock music and the erotic fantasies on MTV, these teenager know little about life” Elvis the father of Rock, Whitney the mother of erotic fantasies in MTV[all the others say they are following her], , Michael Jackson the father of music merging with darkness [ people like Lady gaga who openly embraces darkness in her music say they are following him. Children raised and gifted in the church became Satan’s main tools as he possessed them Satan’s way of demonic oppression has never ceased He uses the following 7 tools 1.DEPRESSION, 2.OPPRESSION, 3.DECEPTION OR DELUSION 4.OBSESSION 5. TEMPTATION ,6. FEAR AND 7. DEMON POSSESION In this age we are fighting an intense level of deception never before seen. One of the major marks of the end time is deception. This deception will lead many as the devil always does into a lot of compromise and subsequently a lot of oppression and captivity. This deception will lead to a lot of falling away from the church , 1 Timothy 4; Apostle Paul says “the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Following the enemies of righteous , false prophets who perverse the ways of truth. we must stand to expose this end time deceptions . The bible also warns that the powers of demons and agents of darkness will increase in the end time. Doctrines of the devil and heresies and blasphemies will increase. 2 Thessalonians 2 ;10-12 also speaks of how easy it is for those who don’t love the truth they receive to get deceived. Many are in Deception /delusion/believing a lie- listening to the devil like Eve. Delusion always leads to compromise. It always starts with pervasion of the ways of God, sponsored friends and associates empowered by the devil will be around to ensnare. Every fall happened with delusion everyone Satan captured can trace back their fall to a false brethren or an associate in the world , These people were sponsored by the devil . These sponsored agents say “no true Christian can prosper”, “No Gospel singer can attain destiny”, “God gave you the gift to bless the whole world don’t stay in the church” , they say “no faithful spouse can be happy”, “no devoted parent can attain destiny” etc We as the church of Christ must understand the devices of the devil to oppose and thwart the plans of God and learn to resist the devil and stamp out his voice . If we don’t we go astray and get ensnared. From my teenage years when I listened to Whitney Houston when she started singing as a teenager. I always felt a warm glow, I felt loved. I believe she had a gift to convey Love; the love of God to her generation. She turned her back to true love and became an apostle of counterfeit love, transient love, the lust of the world and not the love that comes from God. When one is captured of the devil, the devil will use their gifts [which are always without repentance from God] for his own false purposes. Satan can’t fight God , he fights Gods people , he wins in individual battles when he makes people take the bait and fall from the purpose of God. He laughs when he destroys the destiny and potential of a Christian or touches the testimonies of Christian families on account that someone breaks the edge or takes his bait and get ensnared When you take the bait Satan obsesses you he makes you feel that if you don’t get rich quick or steal or compromise you will die, he makes a man think ,if you don’t commit immorality you will die in depression . WHEN a person is obsessed their joy is in that sin .Obsession is a spirit that makes you compulsively follow what satan has chosen to destroy you Obsession may include obsession with food, sex, lust pleasure , money power, alcohol, drugs etc when a person is under demonic obsessesion they become like animals , a man may sell his life to go after a woman . A woman will forget her child to follow an obsession . They loose all they have to get the object of obsession ,that is what happened to Eve,. Satan obsessed her with desire for the forbidden tree .Satan always has a bait , to those he deludes , once they take the bait , that bait usually becomes the object of their obsession, he uses it to lead them by the nose until he destroys them .May we not be ensnared by his bait in Jesus name After Satan steals and kills peoples purpose he possesses them and uses them for his agenda , then he destroys them. They were never important; they were Just pawns in his game to get back at God because God loves mankind, especially his church. I feel the burden of the heart of the almighty at this time . Our youth must be taught that marriage with the world will ultimately destroy them. There is no demilitarised zone. You are either on Gods side or the devils. If you get tempted and leave the way of God [which you may feel is boring, or not as rewarding by the worlds standards] you will get ensnared. Once ensnared demons and the whole army of the devil will go to work to keep the person under drugs and other captivity, It will take the intervention of the almighty and serious warfare to escape his snares . On the other hand , 1 Corinthians 2:7, 9 says” it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him “ God has great plans for you “, wait on God , don’t deny him, don’t sign up with the enemy, your adversary , the ruler of the kingdoms of this world , you can’t even comprehend the great plans God has . Wait on God; be like Christ resist the devil and he will flee from you. God is the only one who gives good gifts without adding sorrows. Wait for promotion that comes from God don’t go outside the secret place of the most high, don’t step outside is shadow. The fame .money .power of the world is the main bait satin has used to make people fall into his trap and prison house for years. DON’T FALL. Its now revealed that WHITNEY USED TO FIGHT WTH HER PRODUCERS THAT SHE WANTED TO SING CHRISTIAN SONGS AND THEY GAVE HER ALL THE WORDLY SONGS SHE SANG.AFTER SOME TIME SHE WAS TOO DRUGGED TO FIGHT OR CARE . THE INNER WITNESS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT AND THE GUILT FOR SIN DIED. THE ENEMY SILENCED HER SPIRIT AND SHE BECAME DEAD TO GOD AND HIS KINGDOM. SATANS POSSESSION WAS COMPLET E. THE CIRCLE OF ALL THE OTHERS IS SIMILAR.THEY ARE MORE PLIABLE AND EASILY CONTROLLED BY THE AGENTS OF DARKNESS WHO MADE DRUGS AVAILABLE TO THEM. I WEEP FOR HOW MANY DESTINIES THE DEVIL HAS KILLED LIKE THIS. HOW MANY GREAT POTENTIALS HE HAS TURNED T O LIVING DEAD, BY DOING HIS MINISTRY OF USING WILES , TO LEAD PEOPLE INTO TEMPTATION, THEN KILLING STEALING AND EVENTUALLY DETROYING THEIR LIVES. . ONE IS HAPPY THAT 30 MINUTES BEFORE THE TIME OF WHITNEY’S DEATH, SHE CALLED TO HER CHILD HOOD FRIEND {WHO IS A PASTOR} HOWEVER BEFORE HER FRIEND GOT THERE SHE WAS DEAD. I BELIEVE GOD IS FAITHFUL TO HAVE MET WITH HER AS SHE ASKED FOR HIM AND REACHED OUT TO HIS SERVANT AS THE LAST THING SHE DID HERE ON EARTH . YET WHAT A WASTED POTENTIAL, WHAT A TROUBLED AND MISERABLE LIFE, WHAT A GREAT DESTINY CUT SHORT. LETS LEARN THE LESSON GOD IS TEACHING HIS CHURCH WELL, 1 Peter 5:8-10 8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 9 Resist him, standing firm in the faith, Ephesians 6:11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes Ephesians 6:12-14 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, We need to stand with the belt of truth buckled around our waist, because Jesus earlier issued a warning to us all when He said that the devil is "a liar and the father of lies." (John 8:44 Its time to start declaring the true word of God so that deception will stop in our generation and satan will stop his ministry of stealing killing and destroying the church’s potential while thwarting the plans of God. Don’t forget we are the Church of Christ, the army of the living God, the one who has the authority to occupy till he comes. Let’s start exercising our authority by pulling down his strongholds and casting down his imaginations that exalt itself above Christ in the lives of people .IT’S TIME THE CHURCH LEARN WELL THE LESSON GOD HAS BEEN SENDING ,BY THE LIVES AND DEATH OF THOSE WHO BACKSLIDE FROM THE CHURCH AND LOST THEIR PURPOSE FOR EXISTENCE .MAY WHITNEY HOUSTONS SOUL REST IN PEACE AND MAY HER DEATH SIGNIFY THE LAND MARK BY WHICH THE CHURCH WILL ARISE AND SAY NO MORE AS SHE STANDS AND RESIST THE DEVIL. MAY GODS PURPOSE MANIFEST IN OUR GENERATION IN JESUS NAME http://hisgem.ning.com/profiles/blogs/the-life-of-whitney-houston-god-s-message-to-the-church |

LEADERSHIP gathered that fuel may sell for N100, as the labour leaders agreed to a partial deregulation with the president at the meeting which took place at the presidential villa, Abuja. The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) had earlier in the day issued a statement, declaring that strike will continue today, but it appeared the president and the labour unions have agreed to a partial deregulation instead of their demand that government should revert to status quo, meaning a reversal of fuel price to N65. LEADERSHIP gathered that the strike may be called off tomorrow. Read more later |
