Properties / Lagos Vows To Enforce Monthly Rental Policy by Poisonousman: 11:53am On Mar 04
The Special Adviser to Lagos State Governor on Housing, Barakat Odunuga-Bakare, has disclosed that the state’s monthly rental scheme will be enforced before the end of 2024 or early next year.

She stated it during a recent press briefing of the Lagos State Real Estate Regulatory Authority in Ikeja, Lagos.

She said, “We all see what is being done in other climes, rents are collected monthly. Hence, we are looking and hoping that before the end of the year, or by early next year, we will be able to implement the policy of monthly rental. Also, the rental would be charged according to tenants’ earnings.

“The good part about it is that we would be test-running it first within the public sector since we can ascertain how much everybody is earning, and once we see that it works in the public sector, we can now push it out to the private sector.”

Odunuga-Bakare reiterated that the N5bn allocated for the monthly rental scheme was still set aside and untouched.

She added that the fact that the scheme was slow to take off showed that the Lagos State Government was still trying to perfect one thing or the other.

Politics / Three Men Fight Over Baby In Ibadan by Poisonousman: 7:25pm On Mar 01
There was drama in Ibadan on Wednesday as three men engaged in heated arguments over the paternity of two children from a woman they all claimed they were married to.

The woman at the centre of the controversy, Taiba Raman has also not helped the situation as she confirmed she was having a sexual relationship with the men around the same time.

According to the accounts of the men, they were all married to Raman after fulfilling her mother’s condition of helping to pay off her debts before they were accepted as rightful husbands.

They all claimed they helped clear the debts of Raman and rightfully married her.

However, complications arose when two of the men claimed to have fathered a child each with Taiba, only to have them given to another man who insisted he was the father of both children.

They made this revelation while appearing on a radio programme anchored by Oriyomi Hamzat, tagged Kokoro Alate on Agidigbo 88.7 FM in Ibadan on Wednesday.

One of the men identified as Sharafa said when he met Raman, she informed him of her debt and he promised to pay if he could meet her parent whom he met, adding that he sold his work instruments to pay the debt and later had a child with her.

Crime / Most Reported Kidnap Cases Stage-managed – Police by Poisonousman: 7:41am On Feb 29
The Nigeria Police Force, on Wednesday, declared that most kidnapped cases in the country were fake or stage-managed.

The Force Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, made this declaration during the presentation of the gold medal to the winner of Ache and kickboxing of the 14th edition of Biennial Police Games, tagged “Oluyole 2024” held at Ilaji Resorts Hotel in Ibadan, Oyo State capital.

He explained that security challenges in Nigeria are not as bad as most Nigerians believe, adding that most Nigerians believe what they see on social media, which is being regenerated and recycled as current issues.

Adejobi said, Most kidnapping incidents are fake or stage-managed. When people shout that they are being kidnapped, it is not all these incidents are real. Many people fake kidnapping to get money from their people, while some do that to collect ransom from their families."

Please don't buy Redmi, it's probably a phone with semblance of quality but whack.

Currently use Note 11s and after 16months I will say it is not worth it. Different issues at different time.

First it starts to turn off by itself and never comes on, recently the battery hours has dropped by almost ½.

I must also say the first full year, the phone was superb with no issue, but overall I think infinix and Tecno make better devices

This one na pure lie... I'm not having problem with mine... you are a liar
