To avoid stories that touch, no one should use all the money they have for investments.

Your uncle should use like 10 to 20 percent of that 250M to do it.

He shouldn't toy with his life savings oh.

Greed no good. Between 25M to 50M is okay.

Many have lost all from billions to poverty due to greed and putting everything they have into business investment
He is losing anything. MMF is like high class fixed deposit. Some organisations have billions in it.

2.6M = 5.3k USD.... I don't think Nigerians fully understand what Buhari has done.

If your earning is naira... forget it, you have lost so much value. The average Nigerian millionaire aint rich.
2.6m/month is not rich by whose standard?
What is the meaning of the word "rich"?
You are comparing us to America?
How many Americans can save 2m naira equivalent monthly after all expenses and tax?
2.6m monthly is very rich anywhere in the world.

HONESTLY, I read carefully ALL the quotes and mentions here and I can boldly tell u that> MEHN, U FALL MY HAND!
Some quotes u made were extremely unnecessary, how can u expect people to reason above their I.Q level?. It takes less than 3 quotes to detect I.Qs.

For a post that clearly stated, less than N30m to consider yourself wealthy and a lot are talking childishly, tells a lot about our low standard of education and thinking faculty in naija.

It is obvious even to a secondary school kid that, N30m worth CANNOT classify someone among middle class not to talk of being wealthy in 1% category. N200m worth sef, IS NOT ENOUGH TO BE IN top 1% sef.

Who considers someone without a moderate house in a mid class location, assets that runs in good millions, reasonable bank account, at least a moderate decent car, a business or job that worth millions, mid range schools for kids and access to at least, 2 nutritious square meal per day, among the middle class?. I guess 30m worth can afford that lifestyle in their dreams, not to talk of the wealthy 1% that are balling big time.
The ONLY definition of Wealth or Rich in this context is, HAVING EXPENSIVE- LUXURIOUS THINGS IN ABUNDANCE and its obvious such a little amount, CANNOT get even a decent car, not to talk of having LUXURIES abundantly.
Too much Nigerian movies is not good.
You really believe that many Nigerians have 30m and yet experts told you that only 5% Nigerians have 500k and above in their bank account.
How much is the annual salary of a professor in Nigeria. That is about 6m with all allowances inclusive. If you deduct expenses from that , a prof have to work for at least 10 years before he could save 30m
Remember that 1% Nigerians is more than 2 million people. That is a population of some countries and half a population of some states.
The question now is do we have up to 2 million Nigerians who can boast of 28 million either in cash or assets? I doubt.

Go to the North and see the level of poverty there. A household income of 100,000 naira monthly is considered luxury.

Nigeria is indeed the poverty capital of the world.

I am Ikwerre. There is no historical tie between the ikwerres and Igbos. My grandma was from Umuahia and said Igbos have always been a distinct ethnic from Ikwerres. That they called us NDI Ikwerre.
On the Bini connection it is hard for me to agree. But the closeness here is that the ikwerres have a lot in common with the Ekpeye. And the Ekpeye has a lot in common with the Binis. Now the Ekpeye claims they left Bini with the Iwhurnohna (Ikwerre) People. This is where the ikwerres keyed into the Benin narrative.
The Ikwerres have always said they are not Igbos. Ikwerres had Ogbakor Ikwerre in 1963 to identify themselves as a distinct ethnic group even before Igbos remembered to form Ohaneze Ndigbo in 1965. Ikwerre gathered in 1965 to declare their unique identity in a communique released in Rumuomasi even years before the civil war.
And who is begging you to be Igbo? Are you anywhere close to the Igbo race?

A man's net worth includes his houses, shares, landed properties etc. A person may not have 500k cash in the bank but may be worth a 100m.

In my organisation, the average worker has a house and its worth more than 30m. It may have taken them years to build but its theirs. Their monthly salary may be 200k but they have property worth over 30m over the years.

Go and ask your elderly relatives how they managed to own properties even with their small income and the worth of such properties.

Go online and see the cost of cars recently, it has skyrocketed but people are still buying. Nigerians are not as wretched as being portrayed for you to say 29m naira net worth makes you the 1%. That's an insult to Nigerians.

Sure, they are extremely poor people who earn less than a $1 a day but your data is extremely false.
I can see clearly what the problem is. You work in a big organisation with good salary structure and then you blindly concluded that everybody is like you.

Like someone schooled you, how much is the average house in Lagos? Definitely more than 30m.
Like I schooled you, net worth is different from income. The only way to rescue yourself is to lie that you meant average annual income is 29m naira.
You're either really young or really poor.
What percentage of people who live in Lagos own a land?

average middle class in Nigeria is worth more than 29ml?

Jisos!!!

If you have $1000, you're very much rich. Question is, how many people in Nigeria are worth $1000. Shey person being paid #100,000 in Nigeria is considered to be earning well?
Don't mind him. Many professors in Nigeria are not worth 10 million, how much more ordinary citizens.

Why are the celebrities in Nigeria always beg for financial assistance when they fall sick?

How many years will you earn 100,000 to make 29ml?

You folks don't understand the reality of people of Nigeria and how many people are poor
FamilyRe: You Need N28.7m To Consider Yourself Rich In Nigeria – by Polchiz(m): 10:33am On Jun 16, 2024
zed7:
I keep telling you people, get an education. Your 29m naira net worth does not make you 1% in Nigeria or anywhere in the world.
Like someone pointed out, the average middle class Nigerian is worth more than that in assets, how much more in developed countries..
Stop pulling stats out of your ass.

Focus on your match, critical reasoning is not your forte.
You really think that many Nigerians are rich. How many people in your neighbourhood have 10 million either in savings, assets or properties?
How many Nigerians are living in their own modern house?
How many Nigerians own a car or land?

You're still not smart. What is a person's net worth? Money in the bank?
Investment? Assets?
A smart person knows that higher income eventually translates to a person's net worth all things being equal.

https://www.businessinsider.com/personal-finance/average-american-net-worth?r=US&IR=T

If you passed your IELTS, you'll have understood that there is a difference between income and net worth and that a higher income is directly proportional to an overall higher net worth.
You are wrong. Higher income doesn't translate to net worth.
An individual can choose to spend all his earnings on food, woman and many other liabilities. It is the money saved or invested that amounts to net worth.
