Have you noticed lately the huge reduction in what is being gotten in return from every ad or campaign that is been run this days? If you have been able to take proper statistics of what use to be achievable and what you currently get, I am sure you would have noticed that things are not what it used to be. Gone are the days when you can just throw up a 100 dollar Facebook ad and expect massive return on investments through which you become the envy of your friends as a result you knowing how to get things done with new technology. But no more. I went ahead to do some research and found out there is just one major reason for this change. Users now have a tougher skin against traditional ads. In case you are wondering what a traditional ad is, it is basically the “I have this product and I sells for this amount, so I want you to click here to buy now” kind of ads. I am sure you are familiar with this. Regardless of whatever form it comes i.e fb or googles ads, newspaper, or radio or tv ads, that is the kind of message we pass most times to the consumers. But unfortunately for a huge majority of business owners, consumers have now grown a thicker skin to this method of marketing. They simply ignore it. Instead of responding to such contents that are focused on what the business owner wants, consumers now respond only to what they find interesting and like. They even go further by sharing with peers and interacting with such marketing tools. Wise marketers who noticed this have gone ahead to maximize this key factor of consumers wanting to interact and enjoy the marketing rather than just being served whatever pleases the business owner. A lot of approach have been tested but one key tool stands out. This unique marketing channel provides fantastic opportunities for businesses to generates significant revenue while still engaging their intended audience in a unique way. It has been shown to produce great results for sales and marketing for businesses in different industries and yours would not be the exception regardless of how un-socialable you might think what you sell is. It’s the use of online Quiz. If you like the idea of getting more sales done, increasing the number of prospects that interacts with your business and better utilizing your promotion budgets, then using quizzes is the right choice for your business. Consumers can even take them right on their mobile phones and shares it with their friends and family right away, making it a huge publicity boost for your business at no extra cost. You do not need to have a website or have a huge knowledge of how the internet works to utilize this for your business. I have crafted a 3-day series emails to teach you how to go about using this marketing tool. From how to set up your quiz, to how to publicize and most importantly how your business can leverage on it for significant increase in business. The emails would provide you with guidelines on how you can achieve more business success with quizzes Click the link below to get all the insight you need for using quiz in your marketing http://thesmeguy.com/get-more-from-ad-budget/ For those that decide to subscribe, get ready for the secrets of attaining higher results for your business. |
Assalamu'alaikum, In my last e-mail, we agreed that we need this coming Ramadan to be different from all the Ramadans we've had over the years (we did agree, right?). To have a productive Ramadan that is deeply spiritual and transforming, we need to avoid falling into the 3 common traps of Ramadan, what are these traps, what are their root causes, and how can we solve them? Read on. Ramadan Trap #1: “The Energy Drain” The Trap: Ramadan isn’t supposed to be a time when Muslims sleep all day, eat all night and hardly work at all. Yet, we often see Ramadan as a time where Muslims actually achieve less than they normally do! Which is very unfortunate because if you fall into this trap, you’ll miss out on the barakah of doing more good deeds during this blessed month. The Root Problem: Even with the best intent, many find themselves too exhausted during Ramadan to complete even their usual tasks, much less find the energy for extra deeds like reading the Quran, taraweeh and charity. Our body is not used to running on less energy, and their mind additionally allows themselves to give in to this “excuse” of having less energy to be productive. The Solution: It all boils down to proper sleep management and energy management. And to do this efficiently, you need to start training your mind and body before Ramadan! Think about marathon runners. They don’t just run when the race starts. They’ve spent months training before the event. So by the time their feet hit the road, their mental and physical fitness is adequately prepared to push them through to the finish line. Ramadan Trap #2: “The Social Ritual” The Trap: From three-course suhoor meals to extravagant spreads at iftar parties, many Muslims fall into the trap where Ramadan becomes a 30-day food festival – to the point that you’ll even read headlines of people being hospitalised from overeating during Ramadan. The Root Problem: Losing focus of the spiritual intent of fasting makes it easy to fall into “The Social Ritual”. This then transforms your Ramadan calendar into a social ritual of iftar preparations and events. Without the spiritual intent of fasting as our focus, we tend to overeat and go from famine to feast – which is actually worse on our body and energy levels! Hence, this can accelerate or worsen “The Energy Drain” and creates a vicious cycle of unproductivity. The Solution: You need a combination of clear Ramadan goals and an understanding of how to practice proper nutrition management. This again requires an early training of mind and body. Let’s go back to the marathon runner. Before he runs, he has a goal in mind. He’s not just running because everyone else is running. With sincere goals in mind, he is driven by a bigger purpose. Also, you won’t see the marathon runner gulping down 10 litres of water before running a 40km race. Imagine if he did – he would fall before the first step! Instead, he carefully controls his water intake during the marathon. In much the same way, you need to have a combination of clear goals and nutrition management to avoid “The Social Ritual” trap during Ramadan. Ramadan Trap #3: “The Distracted Insincere Mind” The Trap: There are varying levels a distracted mind can lead you, away from the spiritual barakah of Ramadan. It can diminish your spiritual productivity because things like television, Facebook, or even the immediate demands at home or work distract you from your Ramadan goals. A distracted mind can even stray you from the sincere intent of fasting – leading to insincere intent such as fasting for the sake of ritual, or with an objective of losing weight, or only fasting and praying taraweeh at the masjid to “join the others” or look like a “good Muslim” in front of others. The Root Problem: A lack of inner self-mastery leads to the distracted mind, and a distracted mind is prone to succumb to the nafs. What this means is that without inner self-mastery, our nafs can cause our initial intentions of sincerity to change and our efforts distracted. The Solution: Spiritual tools are vital to help you overcome the distracted mind, win the self-battle over your nafs, and achieve inner mastery. Ramadan forces you to go beyond your daily “comfort” zone of worship and spirituality to achieve inner mastery. Instead of five fard daily prayers, we also have the sunnah prayers, taraweeh, witr & qiyam. Instead of reciting just a few pages if Qur’an a day, it’s at least 20 pages in order to finish the Qur’an during the month. Instead of just a few dollars of charity per week, you’re pushed to give the most you can give in time and money. Ramadan then transforms you to be the best you can be spiritually and test your potential. This “in-built spiritual transformation training ground” helps us gain inner mastery and increased taqwa (God-consciousness), In sha Allah. And this, is the ultimate goal we seek during Ramadan, for Allah SWT has said: "O believers! Fasting has been prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you in order that you become more conscious of God." [Quran: Chapter 2, Verse 183] Are you finding this useful? Is this helpful? In sha Allah, in my next email I'll share with you a system, my team and I have put together to help you overcome the above 3 traps in a practical, easy, and affordable manner. Till next time - please make dua for the ProductiveMuslim team .Sincerely, Mohammed Faris Founder, ProductiveMuslim.com & ProductiveMuslimAcademy.com Author, the Productive Muslim: Where Faith Meets Productivity P.S. Tonight, have a discussion with your family/friends about the 3 traps above - you’d be surprised how many of them face it. |
I did a wordpress backup with backupbuddy wordpress plugin from my shared hosting so as to move it to my new self-managed VPS (not my first time). But this time around, when i tried to run the import.php file on the new server so as to restore the wordpress site i kept getting a 500 internal server error. A 500 error can be caused by a whole of things making it very hard to track(** for my mind). After no success fixing it for a while, i stumbled on the ultimate basic for any web development or hosting issue whenever there is a problem. It is so basic, i am supposed to be flogged (but hey to err is human). I was reminded about checking the error log. When i did i saw a error saying "UID of script "/home/*****/domains/*****/public_html/*****/wp-admin/index.php" is smaller than min_uid". So i went to google and found out that the file i was trying to access ( the import.php and the zipped wordpress installation were uploaded via root account which makes it impossible for me to access it as another user. The solution was found here http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=1077704 I then went ahead via SSH to change the ownership using chown -R username:group DirectoryToBeChanged. Then i started getting 403 error (forbidden access). So i went ahead to Chmod, this i did via ftp. I actually chmod to 755 for the whole directory and everything was solved. Just incase you do not understand this just ignore, and when you get this issue and google, nairaland would be there for you. |
https://www.getitin60.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/Bill-Gates-007.jpg When the Bill Gates, former C.E.O of Microsoft and one of the richest person in the world was asked a question that affects the life of a huge percentage of the people living in this world: “What is your best personal financial advice for people who make under $100,000 per year?” He simply replied: “Invest in your education.” Putting all of ones resources into seeking for knowledge is a hack that works for everyone even if you are currently making over $100,000 per year. Benjamin Franklin once said: “If a man empties his purse into his head no one can take it away from him. An investment in knowledge always pays the best interest.”invest in education Now that you know the trick to upgrading yourself, here are five ways that anyone can easily take on to invest in educating theirselves, making it easier for them to attain the position you truly want to get to in life. 1. Access to good internet Connection You can learn just about anything through the Internet. That’s why having a good Internet connection is worth investing in. In fact, it might be the best investment for your self-education. The important thing is to actually use the Internet to educate yourself. Many people use the Internet for many other purposes but education. 2. Buy books. Books have been around for thousands of years, but they are still one of the best ways to learn. Reading a good book is like sitting beside a great person and listening to his or her advice. You might not be able to meet the person directly, but by reading their books you can still get their best advice. The nice thing about buying books instead of borrowing is that you can mark them as you like. That way you can get the most out of them. 3. Buy or subscribe to magazines. There are many articles that you can read for free online, but magazines still have their place. Good magazines provide you with high-quality articles on the topics you are interested in. Such articles can teach you a lot in a relatively little amount of time.invest in education 4. Get a degree. Though you must be careful, having a degree is a good way to boost your income. It takes a big commitment, but it could pay off handsomely. Not only that, but you can also make a lot of friends while you are in college. They can be helpful for years to come. 5. Join an educational club. You can join a relevant club to hone specific skills. But just in a case you can find one around you that caters for what you want, you can initiate one and look for people with similar interest to run it together. It’s a good way to invest in your education while also expanding your social circle. *** All the ways above talk about how to invest money in your education. But don’t forget that you must also invest time. What’s the use of having a lot of learning resources if you don’t spend the time to learn from them? So make it a habit to learn. Make it something that you do constantly. Even better, make it something that you have fun doing. If you do that, you will get a great return. Often it’s when you least expect it and when things are going really well that life can sucker punch you and turn sour. It’s the surprise of a streak of bad luck that can have the worst impact. It seems that when one thing goes wrong, everything starts to unravel. Whenever life gets you down, people will often tell you to look at the bright side; to find the positives and compare yourself to those who are less fortunate than you. This isn’t very helpful. In fact it makes you feel worse. Allow yourself to feel bad You are entitled to feel awful once in a while and to acknowledge that whatever it is that is getting you down in life, is valid and justified. It could be an unexpected illness or losing your job, you may have suddenly faced some financial difficulty or received some bad news. Whatever it is, you have every right to complain. Being negative is not the worst thing you can do. In fact, it is a healthy and necessary response to help you through the process of healing and getting back on track. Take responsibility and then move on The most important thing you can do is to understand the difference between blaming yourself and taking responsibility. Whether you have made a bad decision and the downfall is entirely your fault, or you have had absolutely no control over why your life sucks, it’s important to accept what has happened and to learn from it. There is no point punishing yourself. Be accountable for your actions, think about whether or not you would behave the same way given another chance and then once you have made sense of it all, try to move on. Do things for yourself Another way to soften the blow is to be extra generous and kind to yourself. Now is the time to spoil yourself in simple and healthy ways. Take a break and step back from life to regather your thoughts and recenter yourself. A walk in nature, a swim in the ocean or a soothing bath are easy and inexpensive ways to comfort yourself. Focus on your health, both mental and physical. Eat well and drink plenty of water. Exercise is a natural antidepressant. Make time to do the things you love and spend time with people who make you happy and also accept yourself when you are sad or angry. Talk about it. Write about it. Get it out of your system. Listen to or make music. These are the things that will give you permission to explore your bad feelings and find the good ones. Face what happened Finally, look forward to solutions. Take solace in the knowledge and certainty that every moment passes and this feeling doesn’t have to last forever. Sometimes the only thing you can do is wait a situation out, particularly if you are grieving. A broken relationship, the death of someone close, loss of any kind is heartbreaking and makes you miserable. Denying your emotions or burying them inside you by not properly reflecting on them is unhealthy and will cause more damage in the long run. If you do the hard work immediately, which could just be a matter of enduring it, your healing will come eventually. Know that it will make you stronger You will learn from your experiences and become stronger because of it. Everybody goes through difficulties in life, some more than others and the only way to grow is to go through both the good and the bad. It is easy to be hard on yourself and feel guilty about thinking that your life sucks, especially if you are aware of your privilege. When you know about what is going on around the world or even to people in your life, it’s easy to feel like you aren’t entitled to complain and in some instances this can lift you out of your depression. In the meantime have some sad days, get cranky, be disgruntled about things and look your anxiety in the eye. It could be just the motivation you need to make some changes in your life. https://www.getitin60.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/travel-shirt-iconspeak-world-12.jpg You might be an exceptional traveller, but language barriers are still a real obstacle in many countries. A bunch of funny globe-trotters found a way to solve the problem. Climbing Mount Fuji might not be an issue thanks to your annual membership at California Fitness, but speaking with the locals? That’s a whole different ballgame! Enters IconSpeak, a genius idea imagined by 3 friends. The concept? Wear a bunch of icons representing universal needs. Instead of having a hard time explaining to a Japanese taxi driver you need to see a doctor, you’ll just have to point out the related icon. The IconSpeak team thought of everything, with 40 icons that can help you be understood from Myanmar to South Korea. Hotels, concerts, restaurants, toilets and the all-important WiFi are all reproduced on t-shirts, tank tops or even tote bags –so you don’t look like a tourist. The only question now: how do you understand the answer? Let’s see if IconSpeak comes up with a solution… http://getitin60.com/traveler-tshirt-iconspeak/

Please can anybody help confirm how relevant and helpful being an associate of Institute of Strategic Management can be? I know they advertise all this kind of courses to us during NYSC (which I am not and still not interested in) but a close friend of mine was asking if I know how genuine and credible the organisation and their programs is. They re suppose to pay 15k for a 6 wks course material and exam inclusive (exam is on April 22nd of this year). So my major concern is do employers acknowledge this kind of certificates or its just one this by-force certification and training that people oFfer with no real value. Thanks |
High blood pressure isn’t a problem that you can treat and then ignore. It’s a condition you need to manage for the rest of your life. To keep your blood pressure under control: - Take your medications properly. If side effects or costs pose problems, don’t stop taking your medications. Ask your doctor about other options. - Schedule regular doctor visits. It takes a team effort to treat high blood pressure successfully. Your doctor can’t do it alone, and neither can you. Work with your doctor to bring your blood pressure to a safe level, and keep it there. - Adopt healthy habits. Eat healthy foods, lose excess weight and get regular physical activity. Limit alcohol. If you smoke, quit. - Manage stress. Say no to extra tasks, release negative thoughts, maintain good relationships, and remain patient and optimistic. Sticking to lifestyle changes can be difficult, especially if you don’t see or feel any symptoms of high blood pressure. If you need motivation, remember the risks associated with uncontrolled high blood pressure. It may help to enlist the support of your family and friends as well. The glittering light and sparkling decoration that gets your customers excited are back again this year’s Christmas. Virtually all business owners look forward to milking the happinesses season for the good faith that it treats them to with a multitude of foot traffic into their business premises. Prospective buyers, Old customers and even window shoppers alike all tread through your outlets. This brings so much joy just thinking about the increase in sales this would translate to. Some business owners even look at December as the period to meet up their annual target. Even prospects come in window shopping and they eventually leave after contributing their quota to the profitability of your business With all of this merriment and impressive profits making, how come this spectacle is only limited to the end of year celebrations? Same businesses that was booming with activities during Christmas like a full flowing river starts experiencing a dull ambience as soon as the holidays end. Sales drop and meeting up with sales targets becomes a helluva job. Does this in any way sounds familiar to you? This drop can be traced to the fact that customers just stop coming around. After the celebrations, people start getting a filled day tending to their responsibilities. Between work, family responsibilities, social calls and other personal activities, your hitherto excited customers and passersby are now busy leaving their daily lives. Even though we know individuals still need to meet their needs, everybody mostly go for the closest options or alternatives that come to their mind. We usually commit ourselves to settling our desires by subscribing to the businesses that have been able to sieve through their cumbersome schedule to achieve top-of-mind awareness with us. These are businesses that have been able to create an impression so strong that people would cut through all the clutter just to achieve their desires with them not businesses waiting for Santa to always bring goodies their way. Getting a steady flow of business regardless of the time of the year would require you to be able to reach out to people that have one time or another walked through your business premises. The fact that they came into your business amidst all other qualifies them as possible source of revenue for your business. Just so you can create a lasting seal of confidence on your audience that would keep urging them to always come back for more business, you need to have systems in place that would allow you constantly reaching out to such individuals. This is the key to keep impressing them and reminding them of the wonderful time they had when they visited your place of business during the Christmas. Activities such as discount sales, promo giveaways and end-of-year bonus are some of the means through which customer contact details are best collated. Organizing promo giveaways based on submission of entries, using individual email addresses as the distinct factor or putting discount sales on the business website as a means to improve awareness for the website while also making it easy to employ ad remarketing techniques are some of the few ways of setting up a system to ensure that the business gets more than enough data to sustain it through the coming business year. I am quite certain you are already thinking of ways to maximize your preplanned marketing activities for the Christmas season. Feel free to share some other ways you believe businesses can better gain more and better their profitability by capitalizing on the sales spikes during this period of celebrations http://www.ponderdigital.com/the-secret-to-repeating-the-christmas-spike-in-sales-all-year-round/

I need service of a developer for a game show app. I would prefer you are in Lagos so that a meeting can be set-up. The project would require a web and mobile app plus integration with sms(though linking up with network provider is outside the job). Kindly respond if you have done something similar or you know you handle it. Preferably drop your website or other contact so that your portfolio can be verified. P.s: This is not a web design gig, please no wordpress, joomla or script kiddies needed here. No disrespect, but if that is the case, i would be handling this myself. |
