Boko Haram have been all over Nigeria for years, just that their modus operandi in the south is different from that of the north. Here, it is the hand of Esau but the voice of Jacob.

Boko Haram can't try that, if they start killing people in the South then it will result to riot which Northerners in South will bear the consequences.

Herdsmen are Fulanis from North West while Boko Haram are Kanuri from North East.

They are two different groups,
Unless they are working together for the sake of Islamization.
Boko Haram have started training some Fulani jihadists
