1. Can i sign my clearance and go on my medicals by Jan?

Yes!...100% accurate ,you are free to do that by January which you are to fasten up to get all space signed by the respective officers or else your school fess portal would not be updated for payment .

2. I graduated with "pass" last year and have been offered admission ..can I proceed to do all necessary stuffs .

Yes!...You can go on to undergo all other things you ought to do if you were been given part time but if by mistake you were given full time kindly proceed to the admission office opposite jibodu hall to fill change of programme form which I think its free .after changes done proceed and sign at the school center for part time and diploma studies
Note- not all departments accept "pass" for one year I.T

3. I did Part time in ND and was admitted into full time for HND would I be mobilize for nysc?

Yes!...you would be mobilize and that the reason why you will be told to pay a sum of 7,00 or little upward at the school adminstration office with pos .when the time comes you will be notified by respective head of departments
Note- both FT or PT during ND will pay to get the jamb regularization number.

4. What are the Requirements for ND&HND registration?

I will just say this bring all your documents in 4copies each with 15passport photographs.

5.what the lecture time for NDpt/hndpt

All engineering /science students are to be in class by 12pm while management/technology students are to be in class by 3pm latest before time would be based on lecturer's call.

6. My ND result still pending what can I do now ?

I will just advice you to pack your things come down to Abeokuta with lots of food and transport fare and always go with mat and pillow to your department with "solidarity songs" to fasten the review of your result. Those in this shoe should please endeavor to be calm till jan15 and if nothing in done yet you should kindly find another thing doing for next year
Note..please don't pay acceptance fee yet so your money will not be used to build more bridges in Ogun state .

7. I need an apartment urgently where can I get?

Lots of rooms open your money speaks the taste .will plead to all new in takes to get accommodation ready soon before the rush and rubbish house gets left (am a living testimony of the rubbish house).

8. Sorry sir,I have not gotten my I.T letter where I did it/I didn't undergo any training at all..

Don't be panic ..The school student industrial work experience scheme (siwes )board knows 90% never did I.T where it ought to....just kindly ping us at 08172551010(call or WhatsApp) we will sort that for you.

9. Have not been admitted and I heard no more batch /batches ..what mY hope?

Smile..God knows suitable time for all...I will say be calm and rest your hands on your chair and watch Jesus d wonders .more batch(s)would be released for both HND/ND but to the "deserved" ones only and to those ND with below180 please be calm all will be sorted very very soon.just keep praying .

10. I wanna apply for ND/HND can I still run after that?

Uhmm!!!...yes!....we run business in our school ,our school form still on sale till jan15 latest you can still get yours at fixed price on the portal no recession price except registration fees .after you have might registered wait for two weeks and re open your portal to see Christmas gift .

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), University of Ibadan chapter, has faulted the guidelines released by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) for admission of candidates into Nigerian tertiary institutions stating that JAMB acted beyond its powers.

According to the union, the Senate of Nigerian Universities has the mandate to regulate admission modalities as each university has standards which are not subjected to the whims and caprices of any government appointee.

Speaking, the Chairman of the union, Dr. Deji Omole, said both the Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu, and JAMB Registrar, Prof. Dibu Ojerinde, first got it wrong by going against the administrative charges collected by institutions for post-UTME and later reversed their stand in their guidelines which he described as illegal and designed to favour children of the rich against the poor.

He mentioned that the point-based scoring system in the guidelines is not new as it has been used in UI 5 years ago and abandoned.

He equally stated that JAMB is only trying to cover up their inadequacies as its credibility is yearly queried. He pointed out that last year candidates were pushed to private universities against their will and this year JAMB awarded 40 marks to some candidates without justification.

He further mentioned that with the stipulation on the current guidelines many candidates will be disadvantaged and JAMB would have succeeded in entrenching corruption and further kill tertiary education in the country.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has announced the release of its guidelines for the 2016 admissions’ process.

The method, described as the point system option, was adopted after an extensive one-week meeting JAMB had with universities and other tertiary institutions’ administrators in the country.



According to the guidelines contained in a statement placed on its website on Monday night, JAMB said that the modalities were going to be based on point system.

While explaining how the admission process would work for Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination candidates and direct entry students, the organisation stated that universities were going to charge fees for screening of candidates at the end of the process for admission.

According to JAMB, the new method uses a point system to offer provisional admission to candidates.

“Before a candidate can be considered for screening, he/she must have been offered a provisional admission by JAMB. The JAMB admission checker portal is going to be opened soon for this process, so praying is all you can do now,” JAMB said.

The second process, it said, was the point system where admission would depend on the point tally of the candidate.

The statement said, “JAMB’s provisional admission no longer makes much sense this year, your points tally will decide your faith. The points are evenly spread out between your O’ Level and JAMB results to provide a level-playing field for all.



“In the first case, any candidate who submits only one result which contains his/her relevant subjects already has 10 points. The exam could be NECO, WASSCE, November/December WASSCE etc, but any candidate who has two sittings only gets 2 points. So this means that candidates with only one result are at an advantage but only just.”

The organisation added that the “next point grades fell into the O’ Level grades where each grade would have it equivalent point; A=6 marks, B=4 marks, C=3 marks, so the better the candidates’ grades, the better his or her chances of securing admission this year.

“The next point is the UTME scores where each score range has its equivalent point which can be summarised thus, 180-200=20-23 marks, 200-250=24-33 points, 251-300=34-43, 300-400=44-60 points,” JAMB explained.

Giving a breakdown, JAMB explained that each category would contain five JAMB results per point added.

For example a candidate with 180-185 gets 20 points, while a candidate with 186-190 gets 21 points.

JAMB added that the point system for direct entry would be released soon.

JAMB stated that fees would still be charged for screening which would replace the Post UTME test.

JAMB also emphasised that catchment and educationally less-developed state would still be used for admission into the nation’s tertiary institutions.

JAMB said, “Merit contains 45 per cent of the total candidates for a particular course, Catchment contains 35 per cent and ELDS and staff lists contains the rest. Cut off marks will be released by the institutions this year in the form of points and not marks.

“If a school declares its cut off mark for Medicine as 90 points and JAMB grants a candidate with 250 a provisional admission but his/her total points falls short of the 90 points, then he/she will lose the admission. So the provisional admission is just a means to an end, not the end in itself.
