PoliticsRe: Ojema Ojetu Sponsors Bill Seeking To Stop NW, SS, SW From Presidential Election by Poshvector12345: 7:44am On Mar 03, 2024
These are the kind of laws that promise so much only to lead to complete destruction of the state.
We are already suffering from a emilokan mindset and now this legislator want to transfer it from mindset to law to enshrine it as it were.
So that our elections will not be fitting round peg in round hole, it will become fitting goepolitical peg in round hole
A politician will just sit back, buy bag of rice for his village people and get popular there and know that once his turn reach his village people will now present him to the nation and the nation will have no other options than to vote for him. What could be more undemocratic than that.
No incentive to play opposition, no semblance of choice, only career politician will have the chance of winning, no hope of technocratic government because maybe the vest man for the job is from another gpz, or because the local politician will not give way because of how long he will have to wait to get another chance.
Political violence and desperation because you have only one chance in 24 year or rather 48 years.
Legislator were no the think about future, bill that even him will not be able to benefit from
