Gtbank is a bank I love for their impressive service, mostly the technology-backed ones. For the past couple of months I've been recieving emails after emails to signup for the SMS service. Well, I decided long ago not to re-apply for the service after I applied and it was not implemented. I used their internet service quite alright. I use the internet to follow my account transaction at all times. When they started the SMS notification system years ago, it was reasonable at N10/message. Now that Moore's Law has taken care of the cost, I think it's only reasonable for Gtbank to reduce the cost to something like N3. Since we can now get SMS at N1 through bulk SMS. What do you guys think? |
We launched this website some months ago and we have been getting huge traffic since then giving the fact that we have close to 20k products. As designers and developers what do you think about the UI/UX? What do you think can be improved? What do you think about the whole prices comparison thingy? You can check it out http://www.prices.com.ng |
The Market is saturated. For those who think Google is eating young Entrepreneurs' lunch tell the young guys to go start something innovative. Google seem to be interested in the easy to do, proven model. Let's go solve our problem and monetize it. We can give Google a run for its money like they did in China. |
Been looking around but everyone seem to be selling at the same rate. Which cheap and reliable bulk sms service do you know in Nigeria? |
RIP dear speaker. but on the other side, does it mean that in the nearest future BankOle will be refered to as elder-stateman who served this country as a speaker? Omo na wa! |
I have been browsing around for some days now hoping to see an ecommerce site i can place order for goods (Phones, Cloths, Grocey, electronics, laptop etc), I'm so dissappointed the number we have now is not up to what we used to have in some few years back. what is happening naija? Are people too scare to buy stuff? or am I not searching enough? |
I'm amazed at how Skype works over mobile phone, how were they able to have such a fast compression and data transfer of video and audio with their chat client. Does anyone have experience/knowledge in voice compression and transfer? |
Do we have role models in this country? All of them seem more like crooks whose days are numbered. This is unsustainable and we will always be taken for granted when all we are concerned about is EATING NOW! No legacy, nothing, just chop, chop! Arik and Rockson engineering and companies I have doubt for their successes. Rockson have so many uncomplete Government projects yet the chairman mingles with politicians! We need character revolution, cos things are falling apart! |
Nice boss. I will follow the steps. Though I develop for mobile more these days. |
Thank you guys nice insights. I have been thinking along this particular line and having seen you suggest here is my likely decision; 1. Design; Architectural design of the software on paper mostly. Drawing on PC slows me down and sways me easily. 2. Algorithm; I'll attempt to solve the problem algorithmically, on paper or PC. 3. Coding: complete coding a particular algorithm 4. Unit test: I could test per page or a module then debug. I'm still thinking of debugging as I code if it's a framework/API am not quite familiar with. what do you think? |
I'm curious, I want to know which one drives efficiency the most. Am begining to think debugging as you code slows down coding but on the other hand it helps you detect error as you go on. How do you code and which one has worked best for you? tnx |
