Mama, does the yellowish green discharge have a fishy smell? Does it smell very bad? If it does, then you're right. It is Trichomoniasis. It is caused by a parasite. And the drug you took is the right one for it. Although, I don't know if that drug is safe in pregnancy. You should have just gone to the hospital instead.

Trichomoniasis is a sexually transmitted infection (STI). This means that, your husband also has it. It was transmitted sexually. The reason why it looks like the drug isn't working may be because you had sex with him during treatment. You should stay off sex for about a week or more while you're undergoing treatment. . And your husband should also be treated ASAP. If he's not treated, it will be a waste of time cos the infection will reoccur.

I believe your baby is fine. But, don't risk it. Infections can cause issues. I'm not happy that your hospital is not taking this matter seriously! Kindly visit another hospital immediately. So that treatment can start at once for you and your husband.

Good day all. I'm new here and I can see this group is good. I was once a TTC mother but by God's grace I'm now seven months pregnant. For over 3 weeks now I have been seeing yellowish green thick discharge from my private part. It comes out frequently and plenty like every 10 minutes and I usually rush to the bathroom to wash it off to avoid smearing it all over my clothes or bed. After some days I became worried and decided to Google it. According to Google, I had trichonomiasis and the remedy is Metronidazole. I discussed it with my hubby and started taking it. I noticed that the discharge changed slightly from thick to light but still comes out more. After I finished the dose I bought and it still comes out, I complained to the matron of the hospital where I do my antenatal but she didn't say or do anything about it. Right now it comes out more frequently and always wetting my pants and clothes. Pls is there any suggestions on how I can treat it without affecting my baby??

This sounds really serious, please go to the hospital immediately. If I had this kind of discharge when I am not pregnant, I will be concerned, how much more in this state when one has to be very careful with drugs.

Hello Mama, I also stay in Bodija. UCH is very good(that's where I use) and as a plan B I use a particular health center close to Morayo Hotel in Bodija and they are equally good too

Molfix is a good brand too buy size 2,size 3 will be too big for new born

so sorry cappo for the late response, actually I wanted to confirm gender before answering roll call but it seems like lo has it's own plan.was advice to come back in 2weeks time it was so painful,so for now, gender is still unknown!
