Good Day Nairalanders,
Recently am experiencing that while driving for a while, the ABS, VDC and Slip off lights will light up on my dashboard and my 2008 Nissan Pathfinder V8 will stall and drag on the road. When I scanned the ABS with my scanner, the following codes showed up:
1. C1131 - Engine Signal
2. C1156 - Steering Angle Sensor Communication Circuit
3. C1163 - Steering Angle Sensor Safe
For my steering angle sensor, I remember last year my mechanic overturned my steering and spoilt the steering angle sensor. I couldn't get another unit so I only bought the white spiral cable inside the angle sensor cos it had cut in some places and replaced it. Am in Abuja.
Useful information to fix the above issues will be appreciated.

If the steering angle sensor is still good, it needs to be recalibrated for the warning lights to go away. If recalibration doesn't work, I'm afraid you will need to get a replacement.

Many thanks for your advice. I have the CRP 129 scanner and did the steering angle reset that cleared C1156 error code. I observed that if am driving on smooth roads the ABS, 4WD, VDC lights dont show up on my 2008 Nissan Pathfinder V8 but when I drive over a bump or pot hole or turn by a junction when on low speed these lights come on and the vehicle stalls and practically does not move. To get the vehicle moving I will remove the battery terminals and wait for some seconds, put the terminals back before the pathy starts and moves. Like today I went to Keffi from Abuja and had to do like over 5 stops to do that. I scanned the vehicle and it threw up C1131 and C1163 codes. How do I resolve them please and have my pathy fixed. Am in Abuja.
