thebosstrevor1:Some of these Nigerian governors don't have sense oh. Who moves oil palm by air? Only highly perishable goods like fresh meat or fresh vegetables is worth moving by air. If you ain't exporting any fresh products, then voila, another white elephant project. |

shadrach77: The stupidity of our governments really baffles me!! What is Ogun state doing with cargo airport when it’s just next door to Lagos. Instead he should be thinking of strategies to maximize the rail line such that cargoes are moved from Apapa port to Abeokuta axis by rail and then cleared there to decongest Apapa port. From Abeokuta they can then be further transported to South West as necessary. Same thing almost every state in SE and SS is building airport. Bayelsa, Anambra, Ebonyi, Abia are all building airports when we already have airports in Uyo, Calabar, PH, Owerri, Enugu, Asaba. 3 Likes 1 Share |

COMPAQ:You see, due to their stupidity, they think the airport will turn their state to an international hub. Why will anyone visit a city or state that has nothing to offer him/her? Even in a developed country like the US there are so many unused international airports because people hardly visit the destination |

OTA, Agbara and Igbesa has the Largest Industrial HUB not only in Ogun state but in the west ,At Igbesa you will find Free Trade Zone ,These Area Generate the largest revenue for Ogun state ,Moreso that is the Area the Airport is justifiably needed owing to the large Industries ,But Governor Dapo Abiodun wouldn't find a need to move to that Area to Build Good Roads and Establish the Airport their as an Ijebu man ,He would rather prefer to Selfishly move it to this area .God dey . 2 Likes |

children of 8, perdition and frustration are angry that this is going to have huge economic impact on the economy of the south west because their red earth erosion ridden hellhole can't accommodate a road talk less of an airport, considering the closeness of ogun state to lagos and ibadan this would increase productivity in the region considering lagos, ogun and oyo are already connected via rail and would also go a long way to reducing the pressure on lagos airports. Dapo hasn't done well in terms of security but this project is highly commendable and other states and DAWN commission should key into this. GOD BLESS THE YORUBAS. GOD BLESS YORUBALAND. AND LET THE CHILDREN OF HATE JUMP IN THE LAGOON, GOD PUNISH THEIR FATHERS |

what nairaland resident economists and sit tight politicians fail to understand is the fact that in 2019 lagos airport handled 180 million kilogram worth of cargo......this is virtually 95% of all air cargo in nigeria putting pressure on the lagos airport. this cargo airport has the potential to reduce the burden on ogun state and provide actual jobs for the people of ogun state. 1 Like |

Mtchew. Says a man that cannot fill the potholes around OPIC. Nigerian politicians are so mean and insensitive. Baba the project at rounda when will it be delivered. Sango ota- Info road is it not part of Ogun. What are you guys even exporting to warrant the airport? In 2021 people still burn wood openly to get charcoal. Just do your time and transit to a senator, the latest trend for you guys. |
