Mamas I hail you all.
Just dropping this on a lighter note.

Please mama read well and get enough knowledge on card of babies. More importantly, study your child well before applying general principles you read online because children differ in virtually everything.

I remember women in my church telling me to back my baby anytime I carry her. They're like 'back this girl na', ' ur hand will soon start aching you',...etc. Me that I've decided to back her only when she clocks 2 months, not because it's a law but because I felt she was still small. ( Others back theirs from day 1, others don't even back at all..whatever works for you mum).
So when I started backing her, people started saying.."ah, don't let her get used to back oo'. Really. Some even say don't let her get used to carrying and I'm like should I watch her while crying or in discomfort just because I don't want her to get used to hand carrying.
My mamas, please people will advise you but at the end of the day, it's you and your baby.
Do what works for you, read about medical advice and run it through your trusted doctor before implementation. People will always talk.. especially women who feel they're experienced in childcare. Be careful who you leave your baby with. You and your baby will be just fine and alright!!!
You're doing a great job mama. Well done!

Good day mum's. My baby (girl), 3 weeks old, sleeps well during the day but cries most of the night.
I think it's normal but my wife is getting worried.
We make sure she's not hungry nor hot, change diaper, yet she cries almost every 30 mins throughout the night.
What can we do to make her sleep well at night?

Its just for the main time, she will soon adjust, most babies are like that

Hello ma’am. Sorry I’m just seeing this. All the creams prescribed by the doctors didn’t work for me. It was rather making those spots lighter than her body. I had to complain to my mum and a leaf was sent to me alongside a local cream and soap. I boil the leaf and bath her with it morning and night. She drinks from it morning and night. I also drink it as well cause she’s on EBF.I honestly didn’t ask the name of the leaf, it cleared under a week but the scars are still there. I just finished using the leaf treatment 3days ago, you can imagine how long this has lasted. I wished I had told my mum earlier, perhaps these creams from the hospital wouldn’t have done it’s own wahala. Anyways I learnt from it. How’s your baby doing now?

Babies rash go on its own most times. Especially after they have taken immunization of 4th month.

You baby is just reacting to maybe body cream, baby oil or baby powder.

If baby rash cream are not working just leave it. Same thing happened to my baby

My baby is 3months old, i want to know when to introduce other foods to her like ( akamu, dawa and tea) some people said i should continue exclusive breast feeding till 6months to avoid diarhea. Pls am a first time mother, i need some advice.

If u are producing enough breast milk pls continue breastfeeding. Breast milk helps baby brain development. You can start introducing your baby to akamu at 5month. Just little amount at the beginning. So your baby get us to it before 6th month.

A neurologist knows exactly what test to carry out in order to find out the problem. A physio may help AFTER you have gotten the correct diagnosis
Ran some checks on him, all came clean... It wàs from there that physio was recommended.

Colic, hot room, not being well breastfed and noisy environment. Let your wife check her breastmilk production. The nutrients in breastmilk puts the baby to sleep always.

Goodbye to struggling to put your baby to sleep at night, just put them in a dark/dimly lit room This device helps you put your little one to sleep with specialised visuals and sounds(white noise, natural heart beat sound) that will captivate your baby and have them sleeping in no time.

Fairly used: 5k

Location: Lekki/Ajah

Mummies pls help my wife ooooo, bossom milk has refused to supply like its use to b4 and baby is just 10weeks old. We have tried pap but still no improvement or is there different pap for milk supply

Try skin to skin feeding, adding plenty milk to the pap, taking fruits and always putting the baby on the breast.

When d baby sucks more and more, her body will adjust to the new demand and increase supply

Good Morning Sabi Mamas.

My 4months old has cough, it's been on for a while, it's not really serious but most times my baby throws up trying to cough (this is my concern). We've been to different doctors and have used different prescriptions and I also steam regularly, nothing is working.
What else can I do to ease the cough? Should I change his feed? cos I do breast milk and NAN.

Pediatricians have warned against giving children 'teething' medicine. It wasn't too long ago that 'my pikin' teething powder caused a lot of deaths.

Teething is a natural phenomenon not an illness. If a baby is stooling, has fever etc whilst sprouting a tooth please take the child to the hospital to ascertain the cause.

Here are some tips to help your baby feel better while teething:

Use a clean finger (or cold teething ring) to gently rub your baby’s gum for about 2 minutes at a time. Many babies find this soothing, although they may protest at first.
⦁ Provide safe objects for your baby to chew on, such as teething rings.
⦁ If needed, give your baby an over-the-counter pain reliever e.g. Paracetamol that is labeled for his or her specific age. Read and follow all instructions.
⦁ Do not give aspirin to anyone younger than 20, because it has been linked to Reye syndrome, a rare but serious disease.
