Today, I received a delegation of leading global provider of phosphate, OCP Africa led by its Managing Director, Mohamed Hettiti who are in Akwa Ibom State to set modalities for the commencement of the $1.4b fertilizer plant project.

The reception given our investor friends from Morocco has been very warm even as I assure that this project will have a positive impact on agricultural products and create a viable economic chain in our state and Nigeria.

Makes some sense. Dangote too built 2bn USD plant in lekki. Why can't FG take a cue from these private businesses and locate supply point close to demand area?
