A former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, has berated the national leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for donating money to victims of the fire disaster which engulfed Katsina Central Market.

Tinubu had on Wednesday donated the sum of N50m to victims of the fire disaster which engulfed Katsina Central Market on Monday.

The national leader of the APC paid sympathy visits to traders and other victims of the market in the company of the State Governor, Aminu Bello Masari, a report stated.

Reacting to the donation, Omokri criticized Tinubu who according to him did not donate money for the victims of the Sasa market crisis in Oyo State and the Ijesha market fire victim in Lagos State.

Omokri on his official Twitter handle on Wednesday, lambasted the leader of APC, saying, “Obviously, Tinubu’s charity does not begin at home.”

He said, “Bola @AsiwajuTinubu, who didn’t visit or donate one kobo to victims of the Sasa market crisis, or victims of the Ijesha market fire in Lagos, has today donated ₦50 million to victims of the Katsina market fire. Obviously, Tinubu’s charity does not begin at home".

Tinubu thinks we Yoruba are stupid, before now they claimed Tinubu is going to the presidency to give us Yoruba nation or to Restructure Nigeria. Professor Olabanji with some concern Nigerian has peacefully secured what you wanted to go to the presidency to secure, why are you not joining us. We have successfully made invalid the 1999 constitution with "constitutional force majour" The south Western Nigeria is no longer under the 1999 constitution which gives governors the rights to manage state resources, generate power, build schools, among many other things. So Tinubu doesn't need the presidency for the South West Nigeria to be developed now the governors have power without the 1999 constitution

Now, we The People of the Western region demand that all our representatives under the 1999 constitution contract return home for an extensive discuss on the way forward.

The problem is not even tinubu... the problem is the average Yoruba person or worse of all yoruba muslim... dey have selective dementia.... the same people wen given money will still campaign or vote for him if possible

And the truth is.... yoruba people are not dat united.. just like some other tribes in Nigeria... yoruba own worse because they can betray their selves in a blink of an eye... esp wen money becomes involved
