notym2chektym:God is already punishing you for that ill advised catastrophic adventure you embarked upon in 2015 just to spite Igbos. You are not ashamed to say in public that you voted a mannequin who doubled as bigoted, ethnic champion into power just to achieved your very selfish agenda. Now that it has backfired, you are looking for company in your misery. Avoid me this evening abeg. Ndi uchu. |

The Yorubas made the largest required investment which made Nigeria possible. If you read the history of nationalism, of Nigerian nationalist struggles and agitations against colonial rule, you will know that the Yorubas made more contributions than any other tribe or group to make Nigeria possible. You don't mean it. ![]() There goes down the drain, the Yoruba secession clause propaganda that claimed that Zik forced Nigeria down Yoruba throats. The truth is like coins, it falls off the pocket one by one. ![]() |

So I ask – are the Yorubas of today prepared for a second civil war with Nigeria? What ever Lagos have can be replicated by Ijaws in their coastal cities, Akwa Cross nation in Calabar,Ibaka or Ibeno. Ndiigbo will do same at Obuaku. Lagos is only strategic to the North. No one down south will be fighting for Lagos with Yorubas. All you see online with Igbo taunting Yorubas about Lagos being a No Man's land are all cruise. So stop getting ahead of yourselves. You will have Lagos to yourselves, only that it will no longer be the main gateway to a country of 200million. It will be a gateway to an Oduduwa republic of maybe 40m and would shrink in size to reflect that reality. It's IGR will drop ,alongside population and investments. The volume of traffic in its ports and airports will drop as new nations down south move in to build up their own ports and countries. Real estate value in Lagos Will also drop. And Lagos port will have to hustle for Northern import traffic with new modernized ports down south. The North will actually be the new beautiful bride as all man down south will be hustling to have them use their own ports so as to improve port revenue. ![]() |

5.. In the Oduduwa Republic, which traditional ruler will be supreme? This is a stupid question. It's supposed to be Oduduwa republic not kingdom. The commoners should be thinking of how to phase off those useless monarchies who contribute nothing to government coffers but feed fat on allowances off the state funds , living in luxury, marrying useless wives, driving exotic cars , training their children abroad and giving them dual citizenship while commoners live in squalor. This should be the agenda in Oduduwa republic, not the useless question of which useless monarchy should reign supreme. Something is inherently wrong with the black man. Imagine the kind of question a supposedly educated man was asking. ![]() The right question should be: What does the office of Ooni of Ife , Alaffin of Oyo and other redundant monarchies add to Oduduwa republic government coffers? On what basis should unproductive monarchies and their families be feeding fat and swimming in luxury while the rest of the populace suffer under the sun to make a living? This was the questions that drove the French revolution and this is how modern Yoruba commoners should be thinking. The good thing about Nigeria disintegration is that it would force new countries that would be formed to go back home and ask relevant questions, do home cleaning exercise, eliminate wastages in governance and learn to efficiently manage meagre resources to better the life of many and not to fund the luxury of few as currently is the norm in Nigeria. |

Have you asked yourself where is the industrial base that we will use for take off?Another nonsense question. Yorubas have the biggest industrial clusters in Nigeria. Along Lagos-Ibadan and Agbara in Ogun. Almost all biscuits I ate as a kid growing up in South Eastern Nigeria had Lagos or Ibadan address as manufacturing address. Yoruba has enough industrial base to build a successful country. Enough of this scaremongering tactics. Independent Oduduwa republic will have Ondo crude oil to power its industries and if not enough would negotiate with Ijaw republic or Igbo republic for a gas pipeline deal. Isn't Russia supplying many parts of Europe with gas? |

Igboid:Brilliant submission! I doubt there’s any danger of a newly emergent Oduduwa nation still going with the sane crop of ‘leaders’ and politicians that are running things today (ditto other new nations emerging from the south/middlebelt) ....and i’m sure the likes of Tinubu know this too! Asserting they would still have the likes of Tinubu running the show is a fallacy, because as Ndigbo are electing the likes of Okonjo-Iweala, Soludo and Muoghalu, the Yoruba would equally be looking the way of the likes of Adesina of the ADB and other Yoruba technocrats and eggheads not yet tainted by the self-centred and do-or-die type of politics Nigeria is known for! |

Omuaro38:My brother it might seem you are joking, but God will bless you for speaking the truth. I'm an ijaw man and I have said it and even told yorubas offline that ijaws will sieze atleast half of indo state and Lagos State because is our land. Untill now there indigenous ijaws in Lagos and info state. What can they even do,if we sieze it than to cry sh sh egbamiooo. Because they can't challenge.ijaws are one of the bravest and strongest black tribe in the world. They can fight for their skull minning republic but leave all ijaw land. |

Igboid:There will be no ethnicity issue as long as there is/are common enemies. Japan, South Korea, India China etc and even Israel had different kingdoms within these countries and had constant conflicts and wars among themselves in time past but today they have fussed together to become a nation for a common interest which is to protect themselves from their common enemies. The same is applicable to the Yorubas because in their course of history, despite conflicts and wars among themselves they dropped their differences and formed a collusion to fight off their common enemies. That happened several times over the course of Yoruba history. Do yourself a favor to read it. About war, you have answered the questions. There will be no war “where the secessionists group is bigger and strongest among the coexisting group”. All what Yoruba needs is to leverage on SE and SS that want out, the the middle belt that feel marginalized by the core North, that’s if Yoruba wants to truly secede. But for now, I don’t think it has really gotten to that stage though from the current happenings it seems to be gathering momentum. |

Igboid:Lagos oil field holds untapped reserves of about 650 billion cubic feet (bcf). Ondo State P50 - P10 Gas Initially In Place estimated at 396.5 - 557.6 Bscf with Recoverable Gas of 276.9 - 390.66 Bscf (P50 - P10). Don’t forget there is gas and oil in Ogun state and Itsekiri will likely go with SW due to fear of being marginalized. Ondo State and Ogun state hold the second largest bitumen reserve in the world. Please, get your information right. |

forgiveness:Peace treaty after the war became inconclusive and warring parties were out of resources both human and materials to continue? Anyway I'm not the one you should be convincing about your ability to co exist without wars with each other. It's your elites who don't seem to believe so. |

forgiveness:You should be providing your sources to your fellow Yorubas who don't seem so convinced of your ability to make it independent of Nigeria. You have a big persuasion job to do on them. As an Igbo I know Yoruba nation is very viable. I'm just sick and tired of your crab in the barrel mentality and wish to see you all embrace Oduduwa republic idea, so that Ndiigbo can have enough opportunity to have a second crack at leaving Nigeria for good. |
