Amidst economic constraints reflecting paucity of funds, lack of infrastructural development and non-payment of salaries and pensions in Benue, the State Governor, His Excellency, Dr. Samuel Ortom has decided to build a state of the art palace for the paramount ruler of the Tiv nation, His Royal Highness, Orchivirigh Prof. James Ortese Iorzua Ayatse.
The development has however, generated mixed reactions from members of the public in the State. While some, particularly of Tiv extraction have hailed the Government for the project, others, especially from Idoma dominated Zone C called out the Governor for using State money to build palace for a traditional ruler, insisting that it should not have been the priority of the Governor at this difficult moment.

The Fulani are not alone in the saga you mentioned in above post. They have fellow migrants in the southern Nigeria who also dread of self governance.

This palace is even more magnificent when you see it physically, wait until you see the church inside, e be like cathedral. Me personally as per benue first daughter, I no get anything to talk about ortom yet, make him pay my poor mama her 1 & half years salary areas first. As for now, I no get anything to talk.
