Lol...... Pirates won't dare when it comes to Military gunships or destroyers.

As it is now, any unidentified vessel/boat that's not oil tanker, container ship, that's not of Military or government without clearance spotted 5km - 10km from the queued vessels will be questioned/detained or receive firepower.

I'm talking about vessels that will want to take the south African route due to the blocked canal


Obviously the ones parked together at the entry point of the canal are well protected.

Also, it seems you think I was talking about the ship that was blocking the canal. No I wasn't.

I was talking about the ships that will have to take another route to get to Asia, which is by going around Africa, and they will be vulnerable to the somali pirates along the route. Piracy is not an easy thing to stop like you think because pirates don't attack ships on river ways or Canals, they do it on open sea where their chances of escape is higher.

These pirates know these waters more than the armed guards on board. Those Somali pirates are the worst in Africa. Their ransom start at million dollars so they can afford to buy weapons their government don't have

Search for "somali pirates mess with wrong ships" on YouTube.

The armed guards are so professional that most times, they send warning shots when these pirates approach. No intention to kill but to wade them off.

There is more to this "Suez Canal" ship than meets the ordinary Eyes.

The ship being held up there does not affect Just Egypt. It affects almost all Nations in the world.
