Nobody believes that western people built civilisation, even Westerners themselves. They know that they were first to do things on industrial scale what eastern people used to do on small scale. Even Europeans also contributed a lot in ancient era during Roman empire.

It's in fact entire Eurasia which built world civilisation. Europe + Middleast + India + East Asia. These societies dominated world in intellect and innovation in that era too. These are the societies which colonised each other, played great games and fought world wars.
