LordReed: The only stuff that I think are Hyperbolic are the numbers and those are for numerological reasons. Yes the Jews (or a significant portion of their ancestral near east component) surgeoned in Egypt for a long while. |

LordReed: A formula for confusing some. For as is written: 10 When he was alone, the Twelve and the others around him asked him about the parables. 11 He told them, “The secret of the kingdom of God has been given to you. But to those on the outside everything is said in parables 12 so that, “‘they may be ever seeing but never perceiving, and ever hearing but never understanding; otherwise they might turn and be forgiven!’” 13 Then Jesus said to them, “Don’t you understand this parable? How then will you understand any parable? While for some, it makes ask and seek and knock with all their souls and minds and beings in order to gain an understanding. Perhaps consider what seems like the "mix of half truths, hyperbolic tales, allegories and truths" to you, as the cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life on the east side of the Garden of Eden so the underserving may not pick of its fruit and refuse to die.

budaatum: LoL! The question was partly to draw your attention. Still hoping for guide from the holy spirit, so that the Cherubs and flaming sword can be dispelled. |

LordReed: Meaning A well developed critical mind informed with eyes (senses) that see (work). One must detheistise, as in, become as a child, to see things anew - a project we agree you have undertaken, my Lord. |

LordReed: Now we definitely have a challenge on our hands because I can not at the moment define or dejunkify the pool and the mud. It's like you hit my ignorance point so I must now seek and knock and ask with all my heart and soul and mind and being until an answer is found. I have opened a thread to remind us. We must not be surprised if others populate it. What is the mud and the pool? |

budaatum: Keep accusing people towards that which you wouldn't like to be accused of. Jesus is proud of your false accusations and the denial of such accusations since it shows the corruption in your heart. Accusing Hell falsely of trolling is your latest achievement. May your children/grandchildren inherit such things from you. |

Re: Ex-christian: Why I Stopped Believing Religion. by Pecuman: 3:03pm On Apr 02, 2021 |
LordReed: Just how common numerology was in the ancient middle east in general and obvious numerology references in the numbers used in the Bible. 216 7 12 120 5 144 Etc. It isn't always numerology but in a plurality of occurances, it is. |
Re: Ex-christian: Why I Stopped Believing Religion. by LordReed(m): 5:12pm On Apr 02, 2021 |
Pecuman: Do you realise how frequently these numbers appear in computing? I don't see how they prove something supernatural or even unusual. |
Re: Ex-christian: Why I Stopped Believing Religion. by Pecuman: 11:27pm On Apr 02, 2021 |
LordReed: But those are computers not history. You don't expect these numbers to appear in significant frequency randomly in History. Numerology is any belief in the divine or mystical relationship between a number and one or more coinciding events. The appearance of these numbers don't necessarily mean something supernatural happened in the event it is talking about but it could mean the author is trying to communicate ideas thru Jewish numerology. Like 7, 12 and 144 are all related to perfection and completion in Jewish numerology so using or emphasizing these numbers or their multiples might not necessarily be communicating hard numbers but communicating a range of numbers and an event or people considered to be perfect or complete, like those numbers are. |

HellVictorinho:You are obviously a very badly-constructed troll since you are mostly unable to provoke irate or confuse responses from buda. Are you not trolling buda, or do you just not know the meaning of troll and are too lazy as usual to check so you learn?

Re: Ex-christian: Why I Stopped Believing Religion. by LordReed(m): 12:31am On Apr 03, 2021 |
Pecuman: In other words what I am asking you is, what convinces you that there is a divine relationship in the numbers you are referring to, that is not in the same numbers when used in computing? |
