andrewbaba44:He should work on his overall performance, and improve on every aspect that can be improved. Goals will come. Good footballing is not just about goals and assists. The reason why Iwobi was very important to Arsenal, then. |

Nigeria's Super Eagles "Direct" Goals Involvement Stats Check Now that Our AfconQ campaign is over, now is the right time to drop this. Note: I didn't include players involved via linkup plays or provision of second assists (the pass before an assist AKA assist before the assist). Chuks, Nacho and Iwobi were involved in a lot of our goals via linkup plays and second assists combined but this focuses on Direct Goals Involvement. In order: 1. Victor Osimhen: 5 goals, 5 assists in 5 games. 2. Alex Iwobi: 3 goals in 5 games. 3. Samuel Chukwueze: 2 goals, 1 assist in 6 games. 4. Ebere Paul Onuachu: 2 goals in 3 games. 5. Samuel Kalu: 1 goal in 2 games. 6. Oghenekaro Etebo: 1 goal in 3 games. 7. Iheanacho, Zaidu, Aina, Ramon Azeez, Henry Onyekuru: Each had 1 assist. The breakdown: ▶️Nigeria vs Benin (2-1 home). (Osimhen 1 goal (Pen. Won by Aina); Kalu 1 goal) ▶️Nigeria vs Lesotho (4-2 away). (Osimhen 2 goals, 2 assists; Chukwueze 1 goal; Iwobi 1 goal; Aina 1 assist; Ramon Azeez 1 assist) ▶️Nigeria vs Sierra Leone (4-4 home). (Iwobi 2 goals; Osimhen 1 goal, 2 assists; Chukwueze 1 goal, 1 assist; Zaidu 1 assist) ▶️Nigeria vs Benin (1-0 away) (Onuachu 1 goal) - Osimhen struck the shot that hit the keeper before it fell kindly for Onuachu to bury. ▶️Nigeria vs Lesotho (3-0 home) (Osimhen 1 goal 1 assist; Etebo 1 goal; Onuachu 1 goal; Iheanacho 1 assist; Henry Onyekuru 1 assist) |

Sat back reading all the arguments and I wonder if the posters realize that none of their opinions matter to the SE technical team ![]() Meanwhile, that stadium pitch is nothing different from Benin pitch which is an eyesore and a killer of good football NFF should delete the stadium from list of pitches SE would play in the nearest future except it is worked on Rohr has delivered AFCON ticket again, he deserves the respect of everyone for job well done This is the best coach Nigeria has produced in years past and I congratulate him The players have shown resilience and dedication to seeing 9ja qualify for AFCON 2022, congrats to them too The positions Rohr needs to strengthen remain the central defence and attacking midfield; a ball carrier I wish the team more successes in AFCON and WC qualifiers |

TheSuperNerd:Good analysis but I will never dropped a young goalkeeper who made his WC debut in 2018 for average Okoye.I don't see much difference between the duo but with Uzoho experience i give it to him. Okoye has not done anything spectacularly to displace Uzoho but has you said playing in Dutch league might be a factor and this factor is the only difference between Rohr and Clemens Westerhoff managerial style in rating player. I remember Wifred Agbonavbare was doing well in Spanish la liga with Rayo Vallecano and Peter Rufai with Go Ahead eagles in Dutch league was the preferred choice. |

Thank you! This is very informative. That probably explains why Rohr hasn’t been playing him in many of our games. He’s our best RB by far and he’s better than most of our LBs as well. Ebuehi is a gem. He can read the game as well as anyone I know. That’s what you get when you cut your teeth in the Dutch league. O pari smartsmith0907: |

You are right Uncle Elder Kog. And that experience factor is part of why I personally rate Uzoho higher right now. But you see, the choice belongs to Rohr and not me or you. And Rohr has said Okoye, it is for first choice. But time will reveal more as we go coz Uzoho is definitely gonna give Okoye a hard run for the #1 shirt. Kog45: |

Kog45:Elder kog45 it been awhile on here ....but I hope you remember the fact uzoho is still recovering from his injury after the unfortunate injury against Brazil now working back to his normal self requires alot of work unlike okoye who has been fit and in form and his confidence level is still high considering his feat in Sparta ....uzoho over okoye anyday but the injury uzoho had, has brought truncation to his growth and his form so we better stick to okoye now till uzoho grows back in form and fitness and it not really easy on uzoho after being out for months. |
