But he tried to dismiss the argument by suggesting that young people recruited into the military can eat “Cassava, corn, yam in the afternoon….. it is grown here.” This is unbelievable and to imagine that an aspiring president thinks what matters to young people is only food is unsettling.

Serious gaffe.
Eating cassava, corn and yam can’t make the young people in Tinubu’s armed forces of Nigeria look good like these men of Oduduwa Republic National Guard.

Don't be silly. Yoruba people are not "presenting" Tinubu or anyone for that matter, to you.

Because the man came out to show his interest in the presidency doesn't mean he has the support of his people or that they are presenting him.
E pain you abi...
Mallam leave south and mind your Sokoto Maiduguri business. grin

The government cannot solve unemployment by just employing people. Employ them to do what exactly?
Ministries and parastatals are already over bloated.

What we need from government is an environment that encourages, promotes and supports entrepreneurship.
The private sector is the biggest employer of labour in every develop economy

Just like Lagos became Tinubu family dynasty after his 8 year rule, he will do the same thing with Nigeria. His family and cronies will quietly acquire the commanding heights of the economy and his son/daughter and pimps will be returned unopposed as governor in Lagos and other States.

There will be no presidential primaries to choose his successor. The result will be announced 6 hours before the time for the primary elections.

Unfavoured aspirants will not be allowed to enter the venue or they will get there to meet an empty hall, ask Jimi Agbaje, Afikuyomi, Ambode. BABA IS THE MASTER POLITICAL STRATEGIST.

Nigeria will FULLY descend into money politicking. Bullion vans loaded with public money and ballot papers will be sleeping in his house and houses of his cronies. We have seen it happen already in Lagos.

Voters who are opposed to his anointed stooge/party will not be allowed to vote. Miscreants will show up, burn the ballots and declare the election over in that area.

Nigeria will witness the full blown reign of motor park touts and the murderous henchmen of NURTW. These are people who use violence to protect the status quo on behalf of the owner of Lagos State especially during election. They are also empowered and protected to harass the life out of commercial vehicle operators and make billions for the Lagos owner in the process.

In Lagos, Baba does not discuss, he dictates, just take note of how people shrink and fidget and feel like they have beheld the awe of the Almighty whenever they appear before him. He also does not suffer dissenters gladly, everyone knows better on that.

He is the worst material for president of a culturally diverse country. For decades his politics was largely ethnic until he saw an alliance that directly benefitted himself. If he fails to win this time or if he fails to secure his party ticket, then watch how he rolls back quickly into sectional politics where he is the suzereign. Such character is not advisable for President.

Finally, everything about his person is suspicious. His origin, name, parentage, education, business etc. Thinking of Tinubu as president is simply an aberration.

As a PATRIOT, your corruption file at the Code of Conduct Tribunal should NEVER disappear. If it disappears and you become president, on what moral standing will you send other people's files there? Did I just say moral?
You know him well well, help us with a picture of him eating either cassava, corn or yam. Thanks grin

Recruit 50m Nigerian youths in the Nigerian army and feed them with yam, cassava and corn and they will be very fulfilled in life. You can see how wicked some of our leaders are and the evil plans they have for us the youths. What a shame! Has anyone listened to Ghanian president speak, you will see how dumb Tinubu is

That's what we were saying in the thread with the link above. Nairaland has been invaded by zombies and hirelings with no future ambition. The "anywhere belle face" bastards that only care about the peanuts they can get from the drug baron.

Imagine how this fool is trying to justify rubbish and insanity with a straight face. SMH!

From all indications if the race is between Bola Tinubu and Atiku Abubakar, Atiku is a better option.

They are both business partners.
Both are accused of being thieves and corrupt.

Bola lacks understanding on how the economy functions, Abubakar understands it. Some of his suggestions in 2019 that Buhari laughed off then is what they want to implement now.
In terms of economics, what I can remember Tinubu for was his suggestion Nigeria printed enough Naira notes to combat the 2017 recession. People who don't understand the economy don't have any business with public office. It is high time economics is taught for everyone to understand. This second suggestion by Tinubu shows he has a shallow mind. It is not a freudian slip as his ardent followers would want us to believe.

He went several times during the Obama administration. I think he was there during the inauguration and later fund raising dinner for the second term elections.

If you cover up this rubbish, you obviously place little value on your family and future.

The mere fact that he had to come back and say it was 50 thousand or 5 million or whatever just reinforced the fact that dementia is slowly creeping up on him like BuBu..

Or was he reading from a paper cus I didn't watch that sht?!

Re: Unemployment: What Tinubu’s Recommendation Tells Us About Him - Oke Umurhohwo by lozanni(m):
Unfortunately, what Tinubu showed us on Monday in Kano was a replay of the failed ideas that counted for the country’s abysmal outlook. Perhaps he was too lost in his desire to impress supporters that he failed to realize that drafting 50m youth, which is 25% of Nigeria’s population, into the military is outrageous and unsustainable.

But he tried to dismiss the argument by suggesting that young people recruited into the military can eat “Cassava, corn, yam in the afternoon….. it is grown here.” This is unbelievable and to imagine that an aspiring president thinks what matters to young people is only food is unsettling.

The above paragraphs are reasons why all future Presidential candidates must be subjected to serious national debates to ascertain from them how they hope to achieve all the outlandish promises and declaration they have or might make.
In 2015 some candidates avoided the debates and here we are today threatened by unprecedented insecurity, hunger and unemployment in the land.
Any candidate who does not show up for such debates should not be voted for.

Once bitten, twice shy.
