Great job my brother, But from the eyes of a non Professional in your trade i'm just concerned. Will this massive pit at the back of the Structure and the water log area not compromise the foundation of your structure? I stand to be corrected. keep up the good work.

Welcome Sir, the pit was excavated on my instructions. I wanted to use it to monitor the water level in the land from the time we started construction. There is also a water well in the front I was using as a water level observatory.
Due to my observation of the pit, we did a raft foundation at the back because of the nature of the land, and will use good beams to complete the top of the foundation.
The pit we dug might become the soakaway system in the near future. Thanks.

The green color of the water in that pit shows it is fertile.
Do this: buy some catfish fingerlings (say, about 20) and put them there. No need to bother about feeding them

Unless the pit gets flooded in the coming rains, you'd have grown fish in the next few months

Very true, that's what came to my mind as I was standing there, only that I dont know how flooded the area usually is if it rains more.

Nigeria is really blessed, there is food in abundance in every part of the country yet our leaders cannot harness the wealth by providing enabling environments for business to thrive.

After completion of the filling, we have done our compaction, and now preparing the ground beams..........
