*Johnbosco Onunkwo Intercedes for Peace on Good Friday*

In the spirit of the Tridum, Engr. Johnbosco Onunkwo has enjoined Anambrarians in particular and Nigerians in general to pray for the restoration of peace in Anambra State and Nigeria at large, as Christians all over the world observe the Good Friday in commemoration of the crucifixion of Jesus and his death on the cross of Calvary.

In a statement released to newsmen this morning, he affirmed that the Good Friday remained significant in the lives of Christians as it reminds us of the supreme price that our Lord Jesus Christ paid for the salvation of the whole of humanity.

While enjoining Christians to inculcate acts of solemn reparation in their lives for the atonement of sins and human weaknesses, he remarked that Christ bled and died for mankind, so that man could be born anew in Christ, and receive salvation through the grace of Jesus Christ, the saviour of the world.

"On this solemn occasion of Good Friday, I pray that God's love fill your hearts and souls, and may the blessings of the Lord shine upon you on this Holy Day," he said.
